Not sure what editing software you use but you should be able to reduce the preview quality to make it a little more manageable on your PC when editing. When you render at that quality it will still be a slog mind.

I use Premier Pro to sort out the sound and then Capcut to add in any effects and stuff. Its on the low quality preview my PC is just getting on a bit 😭

Also FYI... In the dark, when all people see are headlights, it becomes more impersonal; people get more road ragey
