Hi, and welcome to my channel. After 10 years of not riding a motorbike following a serious accident involving my wife, I've recently got back on 2 wheels and want to document the journey. As a professional drummer and teacher I've found over the years that I need an alternative creative outlet other than music and I have always loved both video editing creating. So why not combine the two passions Bike riding and Video creation. Who knows where this will take me. Il be posting Cinematic creations, POV riding, travel and adventure, but also learning, testing, fixing, upgrading, detailing etc.
I'll be sharing lots of dash cam footage of the crazy encounters that happen when riding a motorbike on the roads, as well as more in depth documented trips to far away places.
I hope you enjoy the content and please share with me your adventures too!

When you do the Bikesafe course (excellent course), ask if you go on amber or green. Good video format. Ride safe.

    • @RTPOV
      @RTPOV  21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

Hey! Thats a good question. I will defo ask that! My feeling is that its normally go on green right. Amber is to get ready. Thanks for the input. Il post a few more of these before the bikesafe course, trying to be as careful as I can, and then we can see how much I improve after the course! Thanks for spotting by and have a great week! @@RTPOV Bedfordshire - BMW F900XR. I am expecting the to say green is to go. But then the challenge is that if the car is keen - your foot is the first thing they will contact.

Nice bike! How do you like it? Shame so far we could have done a meetup.. If I'm in-between 2 cars and feel like they might be keen as you say...and it's safe to do so, then I'm probly gonna go on amber and get clear

You omitted the cyclist on the right,(after mobile phone girl) you were accelerating (where perhaps I wouldn't be), as there was the possibility/risk that they encroached upon you.
Balanced and reasonable assessment of your riding.

Yes true. Watching it back I did think the same. I guessed as he wasn't looking over his shoulder and from reading his general body language, I figured he wasn't going to cross over. Can never be 💯% though, and you're right defo a potential issue There was also quite a few potential hazards along the way I didn't point out. So much going on! That's a good element to add for next time maybe? Hazard perception training 🤔. Also, I think the way the camera works is that the edges appear closer, and the centre appears farther away. Some of those gaps I go through look so much tighter on camera than what they actually were.
Hope you're having a great week and as always thanks for your input! 🏍️👊🏼

@@RTPOV the saying that the camera never lies, isn't always true.
A wide angle lense distorts compared to our eyes.
After the cycling incident, I give a higher response towards them.
Try giving a commentary out loud, and start from far/middle/near distance. Also building up the use of the system, start with just one thing, say roundabouts, and add additional hazards you're ready.

@@RTPOV I got knocked off my motorcycle last year by a cyclist who decided to pop a wheelie right in front of me, he lost control.
I ended up dying in the back of an ambulance (no idea it even happened) suffered permanent damage to my ear along with other stuff, case has been adjourned until December.
Sadly, stupid people do stupid things.
Yes, real-time. Start at the furthest point you can see, then work back towards you
It will seem daft, and a bit self-conscious but it helps on vision and forward planning.

In terms of live commentary, I'm not so sure. Maybe one day. I'm Not the most articulate person, and it takes me quite a few takes just to do these voiceovers.
