Auto tune is nothing... there are many good singers out there who never use(or rather misuse) that tool but Sonu Nigam doesnt even really need any music in the background haha. He can just carry the entire song with his voice alone.

I really cant see someone judging a legend .. a music god 😅 instead of reacting to this song you only listen to his songs.. you’ll have more subscribers and views 😇 huge respect to you as music teacher but sonu nigam is way more than what we can think !!
Chaitanya Singh As a listener he has expressed his natural reactions to this song..BTW I think he is a professional music instructor/coach.So, it wld b no wrong if he judges 'Sonu Ji's song' as he has command in his subject..He is mkng constructive discussion & sharing his views & opinions..-Thank You..
I'm not sure why there are so much negativity. Dont you guys sees the number of Wows the song elicited from the reviwer. True, Sonu is a legend (and my Fav singer singer ), also he is a great mimicry Artist, in an interview Sonu said people mimic some one coz there is something unique about the way you talk / sing / walk, so mimicry is an honour , a tribute. Here the reviewer is reacting, putting his thoughts on the song, nothing to hate . Cheers guys.
Guys, I hope you realise that he is in no way judging Sonu Nigam...This is called appreciation and he is merely relaying to us his observations about the voice and techinques used.... we may love and deeply respect the singer but we don’t have the training to understand the fine details that a vocal coach can....so, calm down ...
Amazing how the change of texture that you are picking up is exactly what the lyrics is meaning at those particular points! When you say the voice has aggression, that part is meant for aggression. When you say he is sounding gentle, the lyric actually talks about something gentle. That's Sonu Nigam for you- catching every emotion right while singing!
Hi Carl, Sonu sir is just an institution of singing U can't just judge him He can surely do whatever other singers do in this world but no other singers can do what Sonu sir does..... U r not judging a singer but a institution All the best....
@Carl John Franz....this performance and especially this song needs a standing ovation. This is such a sweet sad song...with such wonderful deep notes. Probably your reviews need to do more justice to the singer.

Sonu's last name is pronounced Niggum. Any hindi words with the letter "a" usually sounds like the short vowel "u". Same deal with Rehat Fateh. It's pronounced Rayhuth Futhay Ali Khan! Bless your heart. Keep at it. Love this commentary. Btw, Sonu's voice contains the entire Cosmos!
I'm not indian though but one thing i want to tell you that never judge a legend until you have same potential.. and another thing please do some search before reacting someone.. all the best👍
Evaluating Indian semi classical interpolated with a rich history of literature and poetry. I don’t understand the vantage point that you’re coming from. Would you like to elaborate on specific techniques rather than talking about bridge and Big Bang. In India we don’t think in the frame work of western music, even though music has always inspired cultures there’s no denying there is mixtures of western arrangement. I don’t think you have talked about any vocal techniques here. Go study some karnatik classical you’ll know what vocal singing is
"In india we don't think in framework of western music"... is such a polarizing statement and is simply untrue because of all the universal similarities and shared attributes between both styles of music. If you are planning to perform strict carnatic music... then thats fine but Pick any old is gold evergreen melody of lata mangeshkar ji and you will hear western strings in the background. So i dont understand how you can simply ignore all the centuries and decades of foreign influence on indian classical (from domestic dravidian to imported persian roots) and vice versa.
He is a vocal coach and he is not trying to change or judge anybody. It's just he is reacting and giving his thoughts on some matters. Not disrespecting the singer also. U guys should open up your mind and differentiate the meaning of reaction and judging. He is not here to show his vocal coaching talents. He is just showing his reactions thru a song
I don't like this reaction truly... 1. He don't understand the emotion of the song 2. He was talking randomly specially in the piano section I don't like this reaction 😑
There are two things that I request that you check out 1. Shankar Mahadevan 's Breathless. The song is an epic, Shankar sir seemingly sang it in one single breath. 2. Kaushiki Chakraborty' s performance, she is one of the most celebrated classical singers worldwide. You need to react to pure Indian classical music, the pitch shift, the voice control will completely blow your mind. It's much more advanced that what you have reacted yet.
Hey so it's not actually in a single breath that would be nearly impossible, you need to breathe to sing, he uses really good breathing techniques, he takes a breath in the shortest places between words, so short that it goes unnoticed but it still is very hard, even singers I know with years of training and very good techniques can't nail the song!🤘
I'll explain "Breathless". Shankar ji sang whatever he could , leaving behind some lines in the first recording. In the next recording , he bridged the gaps by singing the missing lines in a perfect way , thus achieving it.
Dear Carl...i appreciate u trying to understand the Indian music...but u need to understand here that it's a very emotional song and that is why he is not hiting it hard..and is very gentle... basically it was a song that was sung for an emotional breakdown scene in a film that is why so gentle. And he is a Living Legend. 😊🙏
There is nothing like Bollywood industry without sonu nigam He is all in one He sings emotional songs Romantic songs Rock and roll songs Classical as well as semu classical songs Patriotic songs He is one of the base of india... Love sonu.. React on "Soon Soona desh kahe" by sonu nigam
Meaning of the chorus. It's right in front of me. Should I feel / touch it.. Should I live or die.. Should I be happy or should I cry.. Should I.. Live or Die.
Considering your video says vocal coach's reaction to Sonu Nigam. It's fine. But he's way out of your league to analyse or to make sense of. 😀 But good effort though...
Sonu is king Of melody to understand vocals and the stuff he is doing in the form of vocals one must understand indian classic because they all based on raags , when you understand raags then you gonna be future blown by his singing
2:42 he was saying that the song he is singing has written by one of his very close friend and 1 month ago he died I think coz u spoke at the same time so it was not that clear but I did my best 🤗🤗
I don't think this Coach can imitate this song, not even 4lines. And Most importantly he talks without pausing the song, missing what Sonu was Tributing.
When Sonu Sir was singing he was not saying any thing just listing to Sir , Means this is what we call manic of music that a person who even don't understand what the words mean, be was just listening.Actully he was SPEECHLESS when he listens Sir
Scrolling through comments and i myself being an Indian feel bad about how some desi people don't get the point of the video.. 1. I don't think you have to be able to pronounce or know the language to react to it 2. He's reacting not judging him. 3. And the point of reacting is to react to any thing that is worth reacting at any moment of the video. He's not here to just listen to the video. And i think he probably knows who he is reacting to....
He is a living legend Carl. He can sing anything. He is a master of every genre. In this video he is giving tribute to the lyrics writer of this song who passed away. This song is considered as one of the best song of sonu Nigam's career till date
Hey.. The previous performance from Gima, was live too darlings . Just that it was sung on the original track. . 😇 Glad it felt like recorded.. I got to know that I am still alive..
Some such tenacity
is there in this moment,
where was this moment of mine..
now it's in front of me,
should I die or should I live a little..
should I kiss joys,
or should I cry a little,
should I die or live for a while..
Still somewhere inside me,
there is a little life remaining..
(as if) the body burning down in the sun
got the shade of a tree,
like the smile of an angry kid
came back on a little cajoling..
something like that is what my heart is feeling now,
on the years old wounds, there is some balm applied
some such mercy is there in this moment,
where was this moment of mine..
now it's in front of me,
should I die or should I live a little..
should I kiss joys,
or should I cry a little,
should I die or live for a while..
like a kite with broken string
was this life of mine,
today I'm there, whether tomorrow takes place (for me) or not (is not known),
was my story everyday.. (he was unsure of how long he'd live)
now a new bond calls me from behind,
why does a worry for tomorrow trouble me,
such a prickle is there in this moment,
where was this moment of mine..
now it's in front of me,
should I die or should I live a little..
should I kiss joys,
or should I cry a little,
should I die or live for a while..
He has sung in '54' different voices in a single song. He is known as 'Lord of Chords'. He can sing for all the music genre. Most versatile singer.
About 5 years ago there used to be a lot of good MTV Unpluggeds on TH-cam, but most of them have been deleted by now due to copyright restrictions.
I know im randomly asking but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb lost my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Elliot Tucker instablaster ;)
@Cristiano Brayden i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Cristiano Brayden it worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my account :D
@Elliot Tucker Happy to help :D
The one who sounds More musical than Musical Instruments
Only one who perfectly justifies the songs of Legendary Rafi & Legendary Kishore onstage.
The one who defines Versatility: Throw anything at him (be it bhajans, patriotic numbers, ghazals, romantic songs, qawwalis, party numbers) and he will sing it with ease!
The one who sang 1 Song in incredible 54 different Voices! The musical Scientist
The only one to Inherit Rafi like Haraktein: A true successor to the Best Singer
The one who NEVER misses a note, Lord Of Chords
The one who perfectly mimics, does great Parody, talks Wise, Is Humble, is Righteous
The one & only SONU NIGAM: A talent Of Astronomical Proportions!
THE Unconquerable MUSICAL GOD- Stage being his Home-ground.
The most Talented & Versatile singer this World would ever have! Salute to the living legend. #Respect

Reacting on sonu nigam about his vocals is like america asking pakistan for loan
Just saying😁
😂
Hahahahaha
😂🤣🤣
He is the one and only versatile singer who doesn't need auto tune
Auto tune is nothing... there are many good singers out there who never use(or rather misuse) that tool but Sonu Nigam doesnt even really need any music in the background haha. He can just carry the entire song with his voice alone.
There are many more
He came straight from heaven to this earth ♥️
Sir here is the English translation of the lyrics of the song hope you like it ...
Abhi mujh mein kahin,
baaki thodi si hai zindagi
Jagi dhadkan nayi,
jaana zinda hoon main to abhi
Kuch aisi lagan
is lamhe mein hai
Yeh lamha kahaan tha mera
Ab hai saamne, ise chhoo loon zara
Mar jaaun ya jee loon zara
Khushiyaan choom loon
Ya ro loon zara
Mar jaaun ya jee loon zara
Still, somewhere inside me,
there is a little life remaining..

Still somewhere inside me,
there is a little life remaining..
Ho.. dhoop mein jalte hue tann ko,
chhaya ped ki mil gayi
Roothe bachche ki hansi jaise,
phuslaane se phir khil gayi
Kuch aisa hi ab mehsoos dil ko ho raha hai
Barson ke puraane zakhmon pe marham laga sa hai
Kuch aisa reham is lamhe mein hai
Ye lamha kahaan tha mera
Ab hai saamne, ise chhoo loon zara

At times our Mr. Evaluator forgot to "evaluate" because he himself was mesmerized by sheer excellence of the melody King.
Bro don't speak in between when singing is going on.
his literal job is comment on the vocals...for the songs you can directly watch that right?
Why are you watching a reaction video, if you don’t want to listen to him speak? It’s literally his job... moron.
I would like to add to the above two replies. He has to pause to avoid copyright issues. Just so u know.
sonu nigam said that "the writer of first verse of this song left a month ago before recording that program"
I really cant see someone judging a legend .. a music god 😅 instead of reacting to this song you only listen to his songs.. you’ll have more subscribers and views 😇 huge respect to you as music teacher but sonu nigam is way more than what we can think !!
U can never judge him
His standard is very high to be judged

I'm not sure why there are so much negativity. Dont you guys sees the number of Wows the song elicited from the reviwer. True, Sonu is a legend (and my Fav singer singer ), also he is a great mimicry Artist, in an interview Sonu said people mimic some one coz there is something unique about the way you talk / sing / walk, so mimicry is an honour , a tribute. Here the reviewer is reacting, putting his thoughts on the song, nothing to hate . Cheers guys.
True👏👏👏
Well said Bro..!!!
Absolutely 👍
Very well said
Guys, I hope you realise that he is in no way judging Sonu Nigam...This is called appreciation and he is merely relaying to us his observations about the voice and techinques used.... we may love and deeply respect the singer but we don’t have the training to understand the fine details that a vocal coach can....so, calm down ...
He is talking about his friend who recently passed away at the age of 42 and dedicating the song to him.
Sonu nigam is too far great to be reacted by you 🤣
react to MTV unplugged " K.K " songs
good luck to your channel.(from Australia/India(because i had seen Sonu first time live only in Sydney)
He's saying: I'm singing this song in the memory of his very close friend who wrote this song" yes tribute to him.
Don't ever shout "aaaaaaa" again
ABHISHEK DUTTAO8 really 😂
😂😂😂
why he sounded ok..i dont think he went off tune..
he doesnt have that sense of "sur-taal" which eastern voices have . it sounded irritating in earphones . his was a mix of opera and death scream
I laughed for 5 min reading this. U r impossible!
If I were you I would react crying by his emotion.
He doesn't look like but he's 45 years old..He was making tribute to the writer of the song who passed away
Hi Carl,
Sonu sir is just an institution of singing
U can't just judge him
He can surely do whatever other singers do in this world but no other singers can do what Sonu sir does.....
U r not judging a singer but a institution
All the best....
He is not judging him....he is reacting to him singing
He is reacting not judging. God please look up the dictionary. Nobody is judging anybody here
He didn't judge him, he is appreciating him -_-
@Carl John Franz....this performance and especially this song needs a standing ovation. This is such a sweet sad song...with such wonderful deep notes. Probably your reviews need to do more justice to the singer.
Bro...i cnt tolorate anyone talk ..whn sonu nigam singing something....but u r react in this vedio thts why its ok...nd let 2 u knw...he z living legend....india's ...99% youths who belong 2 music...concider him like God...i hv been singing a litle bit for 19 years...by hearing his songs............but thnx u bro 4 creat this vedio❤

Yes...no disturbance ..
No dude ur pronunciation is wrong
It's not rayhuth lol where did u read that
It's pronounced as raa-hat
uncle Carl
he's a legend 😎
Yehh bro...Why he's judging him 😂😂😂..
Heck he's not your uncle
I'm not indian though but one thing i want to tell you that never judge a legend until you have same potential.. and another thing please do some search before reacting someone.. all the best👍
If you understand the lyrics then you will definitely cry. Those emotions put in lyrics are just...
react without saying anything while he sings, ✅
Grubbed really proves singing like this can make you speechless
Dont watch his reacrion then, you can always listen to it separately
Funny comment of the day!
Are you stupid, you clicked on a reaction video, of course he gonna react to what he watches, go watch original if you gonna be butthurt

But Carl notices one thing on point... These sound comes from the emotions.
Oh my evergreen love Sonu 😘😘
U r legend man 👌🏻
I don't like this reaction truly...
1. He don't understand the emotion of the song
2. He was talking randomly specially in the piano section
I don't like this reaction 😑
There are two things that I request that you check out
Hey so it's not actually in a single breath that would be nearly impossible, you need to breathe to sing, he uses really good breathing techniques, he takes a breath in the shortest places between words, so short that it goes unnoticed but it still is very hard, even singers I know with years of training and very good techniques can't nail the song!🤘
dont forget legend nusurat fath ali khan..
Yes Kaushiki ❤️❤️
Kaushiki..👍👍👍
I'll explain "Breathless". Shankar ji sang whatever he could , leaving behind some lines in the first recording. In the next recording , he bridged the gaps by singing the missing lines in a perfect way , thus achieving it.
Either u speak or listen first
U said more agression in chorus but even that sounds so beautiful and soft when he does that. period.
What he calls agression is utkatata
Dear Carl...i appreciate u trying to understand the Indian music...but u need to understand here that it's a very emotional song and that is why he is not hiting it hard..and is very gentle... basically it was a song that was sung for an emotional breakdown scene in a film that is why so gentle. And he is a Living Legend. 😊🙏
There is nothing like Bollywood industry without sonu nigam
He is all in one
He sings emotional songs
Romantic songs
Rock and roll songs
Classical as well as semu classical songs
Patriotic songs
He is one of the base of india...
Love sonu..
React on "Soon Soona desh kahe" by sonu nigam
The meaning of this song is very deep
I have one suggestion to you....when u want to say something please pause u r missing many notes and styles from such a great singer
Haha you're judging Sonu Nigam 😂😂 What a legend you are
😂😂😂
We are lucky to have this kind of voice to listen
I do not know if Sonu nigam is not better than everyone but no one is better than Sonu Nigam.
Meaning of the chorus.
It's right in front of me.
Should I feel / touch it..
Should I live or die..
Should I be happy or should I cry..
Should I.. Live or Die.
Listen to the intensity "aaaaaaaaaa aaaa"
Understand the pressure "aaaaaaaa aaaaa"
So gentle "aaaaaaaa aaaaa"
Considering your video says vocal coach's reaction to Sonu Nigam. It's fine. But he's way out of your league to analyse or to make sense of. 😀 But good effort though...
He is the living lezend...'N' evry Indian loves him a lottt🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 n by seeing...u can understand...how long... he is practicing...😍
Words cant define dignity of Sonu nigam sir he is a versatile artist😇
I think you are underqualified to judge and react on his videos.
He is legend
Learn from them... dont react them
I don't think this Coach can imitate this song, not even 4lines. And Most importantly he talks without pausing the song, missing what Sonu was Tributing.
When Sonu Sir was singing he was not saying any thing just listing to Sir ,
Means this is what we call manic of music that a person who even don't understand what the words mean, be was just listening.Actully he was SPEECHLESS when he listens Sir
When Sonu Nigam sings, I forget everything else.
Scrolling through comments and i myself being an Indian feel bad about how some desi people don't get the point of the video..
1. I don't think you have to be able to pronounce or know the language to react to it
2. He's reacting not judging him.
3. And the point of reacting is to react to any thing that is worth reacting at any moment of the video. He's not here to just listen to the video.
And i think he probably knows who he is reacting to....
That's what I wanted to say..thanks dude :)
Legends does not need introduction......no can only Sonu Nigam can😎🤗😍
Sonu is amazing. Love from Germany 💖
Find a way to contact him. He will sing with you on stage. He's that kind of person!!
Don't tell him what to do? It's his channel, he can do what he wants. Appreciate the reactions man!
He is a living legend Carl. He can sing anything. He is a master of every genre. In this video he is giving tribute to the lyrics writer of this song who passed away. This song is considered as one of the best song of sonu Nigam's career till date
8:35 to 9:03 absolutely incredible, only Sonu can do that.
He is the best in the bussiness..a true legend ...golden voice of india
He is dedicating this performance for a close admired friend who passed away recently aged 42.
He is Sonu nigam and i dont need to explain, this name is enough..he is music god
