Actually if you have a Irish minor like Leinster allied to England you shouldn’t spend warscore to annual the alliance because you can declare on Leinster and drag a very weak England with 0 troops into another war with you and peace them out just for money so they stay weak and the truce timer with England will be reduced significantly. Great video dude, really enjoy your amazing content! Back when 1.30 came out, I tried for a Scotland run and I’ve got to say it was one of the best campaigns I have ever played, Scotland might seem weak but with England struggling in France and the War of the Roses I was able to slowly take the North, first Mann and then Northumbria and the middle of England, and by 1700 the English were eradicated, but when I tried to go for the Auld alliance reversed, the French were way too strong and were better off as allies, but then I formed Great Britain and spawned the Industrialization, so from then on my game got even better. Didn’t get any achievements, but it was a really nice game, focusing in the army early on to defeat the English and then on playing tall and investing on the Navy. Don't ally anyone , trust your navy to backstab England while they are fighting elsewhere
Great guide but i think it's a bad move to cancel alliance between England and any Irish minor since you can use that to reset the truce timer with England by sending white peace when they join the war
Another thing is that recently England will now have their 36k nearby or stacked next to each other, so when you try to siege northumberland, England will have their 36k next to your army and might even attack you, in which you will lose the battle and will siege down your ports and you won’t have the manpower to take them down unless maybe you have a strong ally in your war, at least that’s what’s been happening on my Playthroughs as Scotland using this guide.

I couldn’t avoid going to war with England right away. I waited until France had almost won before I joined though and got a bunch of Irish states without really doing anything.
