But that being said, would you not be losing the other 30% brake power? That could be a 30% difference, which might just be the difference between life or death. Also losing the ability to slow down in turns is not too great either. Good bike for a drag strip. Not a track.
His argument is weird. You won’t need a seatbelt 99% of the time. That doesn’t make driving without one a smart idea. If you have to do an emergency brake you wish you had that extra 30% braking.
All the safety features are there to safe us when we needed it the most. I never know that I need to use a seatbelt/helmet until I have an accident and it saves me. This guy goes as far as removing the rear brake😂
It is for the strip, and roll racing. It still handles twisties perfectly fine as well, just doesn't have as much cornering clearance is all due to being lowered.
No…if you actually know how to ride….you’d utilize the rear brake. You guys see track bikes and think, oh that mod would be awesome…but fail to think of the risk. Cry later if you can. Ride safe.
"If you think a rear brake is the difference between life and death" my guy has clearly never needed to brake and turn at the same time in an emergency. For a drag racing bike this mod's cool I guess, but for any other discipline on or off road it just seems silly.
The rear brake helps load the front suspension sooner allowing you to brake deeper into a corner. The rear brake can help the bike turn in faster or keep you on line through a progressive corner. The rear brake provides added stability at corner exit allowing a faster transition to throttle. The rear brake provides redundancy, so that in the albeit unlikely event of a front brake failure you can still brake. Why would you want to give all of that up just to reduce a bit of drag and unsprung weight? Outside of drag racing, you are better off with a rear brake.
Riding without a rear brake revealed to me that there are many things i dont need on a bike, after that i removed my left handle, seat and half my gas tank
The rear brake on my 1125R is useless. Doesn't do anything unless its HOT, making it totally worthless on the street. I basically never touch it, but I don't think id go so far as to remove it...
You do you bruh. But... say you need to stop from 60mph and that can be done in 120 feet. Now you only have 70% that power let alone the time it takes to load the front tire. Now your braking distance is going to increase to at least 160 feet if not more. That is 100% a possible life or death difference. But then again shit happens. Nice bike.
I made a mistake and used 70/30 as a more general term back when filming this. Realistically, on most sportbikes its much closer to 90/10. Still get your point though, and thanks!
The simple fact that this guy feels like he need to justify his choice by wanting to race dirtbike proves he can't really get any faster than them 😂 put that break back on open roads aren't tracks and if you don't use both breaks well you can't drive for shit
Ride safe man you never know when will you need that extra 30% braking power until you do. On a side note you sound like 20 years old who just got his first bike you got butthurt over "slow" comment on social media even valentino rossi started on a dirt bike so yeah, ride safe 😂
I get so many comments trashing me. I promise you I'm long past any "butthurt" phase lol. I simply build my bike for the purposes I chose and share with people these usually rare modifications (rare obvs because it removes usually important parts). Ride safe too!
@@KoulasHD Do you know how to go around a corner or are you a straight line throttle jockey You arnt just building it how you want it and sharing it. Yeah, it's illogical. Maybe the guy's point is he doesn't need 100% brake power because he drives like a grandma? Doesn't sound as cool though 😅

@@Engiction Most bikes at the strip or dedicated roll bikes go a step further and remove a single front rotor too.

How do you handle riding uphill with start-stop traffic?
I just use the front brake
Just used front brake! Not too bad.

I agree, though yes this bike is for roll racing & drag racing!

cool mod, it would interesting to see what would happen the first time you go off the track and end up in the sand trap
Slow speed twisty race through a busy parking lot..
Your gonna miss the rear brake in that scenario..😂
My rear caliper came off while riding. Not a huge deal, just rode slower

I don't think a lot of people understand that drag bikes dont have rear brakes for aero and weight purposes.
Simplicity too
Yup
Ragebait, track day motorcycle. As long as it's not on the streets you can ride one disc one caliper one brake as far as I'm concerned.
I could 100% but I love gettin the back wheel locked up it’s fun
Fair enough haha
Does that bike have slipper clutch 🤔

It's called using the bike for racing, smart one
@@chunkiermango7982 yes I'm smart I use 100% both breaks 🤣😆😂
