Merhaba.. Hope you are doing well. I am an Indian & Vegetarian but I’m obsessed with your Chanel as much as I’m obsessed with your beautiful country & culture & food. I have been watching Turkish dramas since 2015 & fell in love with your country. I am watching every video of yours from past 3-4 days even if I’m not gonna make any dish. But I still love to watch & hear you & know about your food culture. You are so lovely & honest. Would love to visit Turkey one day. Love from India. ❤️
Çok çok lezetli. I love eggplants and I always wanted to make dish made up of Eggplant and iste bu😍😍 çok sevindim, I'm going to make this on weekend.! LOVE FROM PAKISTAN 🇵🇰🇹🇷
Love that this video is in English 💞 I love trying different dishes around the world but so many videos are in other languages making it hard to try. All of your food looks amazing.
i am a great fan of the Greek Moussaka, and make a pretty good one. i have become very interested in the different variations such as the turkish, macedonian and egyptian. looking foreward to making this one
Thank you I was expecting this recipe on channel what is the difference between oturtma and moussaka we do it differently in Bulgaria the eggplant moussaka we add peppermint or summer savory and dont do with bechamel but with yoghurt and we don't add peppers meat is of choice and we usually fry in sunflower oil eggplants but I love when we cook sauce in olive oil
We have mosaka in Arab cuisine. very similar to your dish in terms of veggies and meat but once layers are done we place the tray in the oven, cover it with foil and let everything live happily togather without adding water to it. so delicious and tasty. try it thst way :) I like to add bell pepper to the meat sauce. it gives a very nice flavour. ps: i grill my veggies to reduce fat 🙂 stll so good
Hello. Ayşenur Altan is famous for her recipes and she has a TH-cam channel. You can search for her name. Although that channel of her is in Turkish, you can still follow and if there are some parts you can't understand, I'm sure she will reply. But as far as I know, she doesn't have a cook book.
Hi, my question is not related to this recipe but would like to know if Visne or Sour cherry can be found in the market in Istanbul during the month of July or August. Please let me know. Thank you
This looks so easy! Question: if I cannot find red pepper paste (you would think in NYC I could find it, right?). Can I add to the onions half a bell red pepper finely chopped for a similar flavor as red pepper paste? I live in a neighborhood filled with Desi, Bangla, Yemeni, and Albanian food stores!!! But no red pepper paste!!!
Hi! Yes you can add red bell pepper or better capia peppers if you can find. In NYC there are many Turkiss markets as far as I know. Albenian markets might have it too but it would be still good without it! Best!
I live all the way north of the city, near the Westchester County borderline. I'd have to go into Brooklyn to the mideastern neighborhoods. That's over an hour away on the subway. Thanks so much for your reply! Capia peppers...got it!!! What do you call the skinny green peppers, please?
Hi yes sure, just make the filling plentiful with onion, peppers and tomatoes. It will be similar to “imam bayildi” which o have the recipe in the links at description box below. Also check “patrician Silkme” another vegan eggplant dish
It is not Turkish, it's Arabic, the word "Musakka" is not Turkish, it's Arabic. مصقعة. Meaning (made cold) indicating that this meal should be served after it's cold. What does this word mean in Turkish??? PS. I'm not against Turkey, I am against this cultural robbery. The Lebanese say the (Yalanjee) is a Lebanese meal, although the word is Turkish, (meaning lyer as you know) and the meal has a story that happened in Damascus with the Turkish governor at the time, who was served grape leaves stuffed with rice without meat... So he got angry and called this meal a (lyer).
As kids we hate egg plants but your recipes have led to us loving these wonderful dishes.
Thanks again.
Eggplant is the king of vegetables and makes for a full meal, especially when prepared expertly as you have shown.
Thanks 😊👌🏻
Thanks

I suggest you add tomato paste with the peppers, it would give a nice red color

Use minced soya, or minced mushrums.
