Still relevant even many years later, thank you. I'm just in the middle of this tutorial but I already have so many ideas about how to use the same effects to achieve different results.

Anyone who needs help with the Text, I worked it out. You have to go to Compostion in the to menu -> new. The create a new Text layer by selecting "Layer - New -> Text" from the top menu, you can style it how you want with the Font options box on the right/where you see paragraph, effects etc. He's using the Font "Die Hund", copy his options to get to the stroke(white border). This composition will be in your project panel on the left. Click the "The Grid" composition where his says "Comp 1, Output Grid, The Grid A, Digital Growth" etc, then drag your text composition from the project box down and put it above the Digital Growth layer and it will be like his, then you can continue from from 13:37 (his text layer/composition is named "Title_Template".
Hope that helps anyone else who gets stuck :)

I was already planning on buying E3D when I get to that stage in my learning, but if I hadn't been, I would be now. All the tutorials you do for regular non-plugin effects, the free plugins, the quality and enthusiasm of your teaching style. I'm so impressed and thankful, as a learner, that I don't think I could express it without sounding even more goofy and corny than I undoubtedly already do. Thank you.

The main thing i'm learning about Vfx is: It doesn't matter how your project looks inside the software, if its just a bunch of weird layers all improvised or whatever.
What matters is the final result, the render. BUT you have to remember you may want to change something later, so your project must be recursive.

You have to watch the tutorial very close. Do not just follow what he says in words, push the pause button anytime the cursor moves, to see what he just hit. Also, when he makes his adjustment like (opacity) I would pause and put the exact numbers. One thing I noticed (among others), was that the tutorial composition is for ten seconds, but if you time the video of the actual effects, it is approximately 18 seconds long. So there are things you have to play around with like he says in his tutorial. I like that he leaves a few things (simply things) out because that forces you to learn. Maybe a little frustrating, but I have learned so much!! Thanks Andrew!

Yet another God-tier tutorial here!! Love it, i genuinely struggle to believe that this is all free too! Incredible work Andrew as ever! Sidenote - i was having issues with editing the bezier curve at 04:27 , whereby i couldn't rotate the handles when changing the curve. I fixed it by clicking the 'choose graph type and options' button, and switching it to value graph rather than speed graph. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is experiencing this issue :) Thanks again Andrew! These videos are genuinely timeless!!
