Just bought this today with the real color and real traffic bundle and also a few extra airports after watching yourself and some other vids and I am addicted. This is a great little guide to get people started, thank you very much.
Hi Chaz .. A CHEAT : if you want to and you aren't a fanatic , instead of telling the push backed aircraft what taxi way to use , you can just say "continue taxi" and it will follow it's chosen way to get to the runway , this also works for planes that have just landed as well (after telling them to taxi to terminal/apron/ etc) . Thanks for the video.
Thanks Stephen - got that one in my arsenal already 😁 Thank you! I just like to make sure I'm determining which way they go so they don't go misbehaving ahaha!
Nice work Chaz. I’m planning on getting this game in the near future. I look forward to your next video with this game. I just subscribed so I don’t miss a video. Thanks for doing a good job explaining the basics.
That seems odd. I just say "CallsignXXXX Runway XX Cleared to land" - if you're not saying the command perfectly word for word, they won't land. I'm not sure what you mean about getting them on final, sorry, as they're already on final when they get in touch with you so no command is needed for that.
Chaz, came across an "interesting" problem. I was showing a friend Tower! Simulator 3 (the lowest level at St. Thomas to keep it simple) and when I landed the first aircraft (a PA31) it touched down and I told him to "taxi to the ramp" and every time he taxied off the end of the runway, and kept on going into the wild blue yonder! Is this a 'glitch', or am I doing something wrong? I can't remember having the problem when I first started back in December.
Perfect tutorial! Thanks. I have planes refusing to taxi, or getting nose-to-nose. The old game had the ability to delete problem airplanes. Does this version? I can't figure it out...
@@ChazDraycott Thanks, but twice you started to talk about F6 then were distracted by the fact that you have F6 mapped to a view and never got to the strip screen lol.
Thanks for the kind words Terry! 😁 You can indeed, yes, using the Command Terminal displayed here at F6. It takes a lot longer to do so you'll probably have to pause the game a lot, but you'll get the same result.
1/There is a guy who has posted a video on youtube only using the command panel ( on LAX) of all places and he did really well . Sorry don't remember his name or the channel. 2/ you don't have to type anything either with the control panel just click on the plane ( the planes call sign is then put in the command panel for you) then a bunch of commands appear underneath which you just click with your mouse and then hit send. Very simple and quite quick.
@@stephenmurray9850 This may help to narrow the search a bit - he’s @jagjag28 on TH-cam. Unfortunately he’s not in to Playlists and has 132 videos on the go. Of course anything for T!S3 is within the past 8 months or so. I found your comment Stephen, and totally copy - WOW indeed. The learning curve for this sim is pretty steep and I haven’t even downloaded it yet. I would certainly give speech recognition a whirl. For me anything but minimal typing is totally out. Jag Jag is in a whole other world. I didn’t watch a lot, but he also looks to be a pretty good controller. Like Chad 👍. Interesting to see if all the cross monitor scanning & mouse clicking might wear one down more than voice. Thanks for the tip on this.

Another superb tutorial Chaz, thank you 🙏
Very nice video of the basics! We will be sharing it on our pages too! ;) Thanks again
How do you get the planes to land. I can get them in final but they won’t land

I've seen this issue a few times actually bud - not sure what causes it I'm afraid. I had the same at LAX with an ATR-72.

Yep, I think I covered it in this video in fact, using the Command Terminal on F6.

Just figured it out. You pointed me to the right place. Thanks!
Ah, sorry. What you need to do is just move the camera to where you want it (pointing to the screen you want) and pressing Ctrl + and it'll save it 👍🏼
Very helpful Chaz.
can you play this game without voice and typing like the original game thanks for the content
