SO fun!!! I am a recently retired Air Traffic Controller. I worked the DC-PHL-NYC (Washington ARTCC) corridor for 35 years. Retirement is great!!! Love your video Jeff.
I work at GRR as ground crew supervisor (GOA) for WN, NV (Alleigant Air) and Frontier. I know the feeling of brain melting hah. I hope you have or had a great Christmas Jeff. Have a happy new years. The way you sounded frustrated is.. relatable lmao.
BR in a METAR is mist, not broken. 3 cloud layers, few (1/8 - 2/8 coverage) at 800', scattered (3/8 -4/8 coverage) at 4500' and overcast (8/8 coverage) at 5000'. Haven't watch all this yet, but I will. LAX is tough to handle alone, I'm sure you'll do much better than I would. EDIT: watched it, that was rough. voice rec is brutal when you're busy. It is way to busy to do solo. One thing that might help you though, it might be my imagination, but it seems that CROSS RUNWAY 24L gets the plane moving across the runway much faster than CONTINUE TAXI. This command is new with TS3. I've also gotten into the habit of issuing CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF UPON REACHING ALTITUDE 1000 CONTACT DEPARTURE. Saves one full communication. Well done on an impossible task.
BR = baby rain = mist, at least that's how I was taught to remember it. Not that it's difficult on its own but when you have metars, tafs, pireps and all the other weather products being thrown at you it helps.
Jeff if their call sign has heavy in it, you have to say it or it won't recognize what your saying. IE China cargo 396 HEAVY. I just figured that out yesterday after having a meltdown
Really enjoying you play these simulator games. I hope you’ll feel better soon as well. The flu isn’t very fun to have. Keep up the great work and have a great rest of the year Jeff!
Awesome content. Love this ATC stuff. I’m fascinated at how much goes on. Would love to see more of it. Multiplayer sounds fun to watch. Especially if we the viewers get to see all positions.
Great video Jeff! I find it amazing that people would do this sim for fun when it's considered the most stressful jobs out there. I'm new to all this and was wondering if you had to call out barometer before every takeoff?
@Dylan Hervatin Racing You're half correct. We listen to the ATIS and report the code. Tower will frequently give wind information alongside a landing clearance to arriving aircraft and will also update all aircraft on their frequency on specific changes to the ATIS. For example "All stations information Sierra now current, changes wind 220@20 maximum crosswind 20, temperature 15, QNH 1016 hectopascals."
This is awesome Jeff! I'm an LAX based cargo pilot. Feels pretty accurate haha! When we have to park in that ICC area with... everyone else it really makes a massive mess. We've had to wait over an hour to pushback because of the traffic in and out of there before.
I tried this airport, at like 25 percent, and it was still super tricky!! Esp with weather turned on and planes not wanting to land certain directions… such a fun game tho, hoping to find people to play online with soon!! Maybe we can all tackle this one!!
Epic video Jeff! I had Flu A last week and it was terrible. Worst experience for me to end 2022, but I feel way better now. My brother had Flu B which is less severe than Flu A.
This game episode is major crazy to handle as a 1 man job. You have real patience, I would have left all of them to crash or go away and never come back LOL.
Glad your feeling better jeff and a Merry Christmas getting my first gaming pc in March with a 32 inch curved monitor and bought ats much love man thanks for all the years of entertainment and a happy new year
Love this Jeff! My video doing the same thing at KLAX came out today as well - glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks you have to be mental to go it alone ahaha! Great fun to watch though!
They would never tell an aircraft to taxi “to the ramp via” without a crossing clearance. It would be taxi “x”, hold short of runway “x”. It’s good that they still wait despite your lack of a clearance.
I think the reason the DAL813 didn't listen was because when I looked at the transcript at the top it said DAL848. Also same for SWA813 (SWA848 instead), so maybe it's just a bug where it hears 813 as 848.
Yep totally stuffs your brain especially when your trying to do it "right" .. There are short cuts which I think would be appropriate trying to do LA and New York. Thanks for the video.
Ah, LAX, the airport that’s kind of infamous for large scale congestion issues due to expanding way too fast and using up all the land they were given when it was originally constructed from what I’ve been told, good times. 😑
the correct command is "ALA2343 taxi to ramp" NOT "ALA2343 taxi to THE ramp." This might have been why a lot of the commands were misunderstood, by just putting that extra "the" in the command. It really messes them up
you can now say "ALA2343 cross runway 25R" in advance of the plane stopping short of the runway, instead of waiting for the plane to stop short of the runway and then saying "ALA2343 continue taxi"
Jeff awesome video if you could do a series on this game and showcase multiple airports on this game and if you could have an episode showcase kansas city international Airport id appreciate it
Aahh yes yes..I see you're a man of culture Jeff..lol I mess around with Tower! 3D Pro. I gotta say, obviously, this one looks a lot better, and fun. Love the content Mr Famingo👀🤘🏻
In tower 3d pro there is the same bug about one airplane you can command what ever want, but no response. screwing the game complete when you are busy. But it is still a great game, but sad they cannot solve that bug.
hey, a question, do you ever use shortened runways? e.g. Delta486 runway 25R at B6 (Raleigh airport)? it shortens taxi times and enables you to create several queues rather than one huge one
Jeff it didnt recognize you calling delta at all, it recognized it as 849 instead of 817 and that was why it was stuck. You could have commanded it on text or called it 1-7 instead of seventeen I guess. Cool video otherwise!
In its present state is TS!Sim3 worth passing over Tower3DPro in your exp with both? And how strict are the min pc specs, I have a 2.2 i7 8th gen but rest of my specs are fine. Enjoyed your videos!
Good work on that attempt but if you look back over the video DAL817 you kept calling them Delta Eight Seventeen and the TTS was reading back as DL849... you need to use singular number like Eight One Seven,, TTS can be a little crazy..
I'"m just wondering if it's possible in this simulator to automate either approach radar, or ground radar, in such a way that only ground is under the charge of the player, or the approach. Closer to the reality in my opinion and also would allow to better focus and getting used to it before going on alone controller.
The more I watch you play this the more I want to get it to try doing the same. Does the game have airports in the UK? I hope you had a good Christmas and I hope you have a very good New Year
Don't think your meant to give cleared to land until it is clear, or it can be given once you know its defiantly going to be clear, with No1 still on approach a bit dangerous if No1 doean't clear the runway in time?
Here's a trick...............callsign1234 weather 25R cleared for takeoff upon reaching altitude 1000 contact departure..........that way you can save yourself from handing them over to departure after such a long time***
@@jfavignano understandably ...im just saying so that you it eases your time. Watched a live multyplayer of KLAX and it occured to me the south(takeoff) was congested and by using that you could shed off some time
SO fun!!! I am a recently retired Air Traffic Controller. I worked the DC-PHL-NYC (Washington ARTCC) corridor for 35 years. Retirement is great!!! Love your video Jeff.
I love watching the descent into madness. The normally calm and stoic Jeff spiraling quickly into insanity. You earned your like today good sir.
I have huge respect for people who can pull this off in real life, very stressful and 0 room for error.

At the "China Air Cargo Go to hell" I start laughing so much!😂😂
I was confused. Air China or China Airlines? One is communist and the other is Taiwanese...
Jeff if their call sign has heavy in it, you have to say it or it won't recognize what your saying. IE China cargo 396 HEAVY. I just figured that out yesterday after having a meltdown
This game must be absolutely fantastic in VR
not supported yet
39:40 lol China Cargo made you lose it
I tried LAX. My brain DID melt in about five minutes. If you reduce the call sign tags when things get hectic it’s easier to see all of them.
Could you imagine taxiing to take off and ATC had realized there’s too much traffic so you’re just deleted and in the abyss? 😂😂😂 great video Jeff!!
Lol, but in all seriousness that would probably be terrifying. 🙄
Lmaoooooo
Really enjoying you play these simulator games. I hope you’ll feel better soon as well. The flu isn’t very fun to have. Keep up the great work and have a great rest of the year Jeff!
Awesome content. Love this ATC stuff. I’m fascinated at how much goes on. Would love to see more of it. Multiplayer sounds fun to watch. Especially if we the viewers get to see all positions.
For the larger aircraft, after saying their callsign, you're supposed to say "Heavy" or "Super" in order to get it to work.
That simple huh? OK...sure:)
Great video Jeff! I find it amazing that people would do this sim for fun when it's considered the most stressful jobs out there. I'm new to all this and was wondering if you had to call out barometer before every takeoff?
@dylanhervatinracing oh yea. Thanks!

The game doesn't require a lot of the stuff this guy puts in there.
This is awesome Jeff! I'm an LAX based cargo pilot. Feels pretty accurate haha! When we have to park in that ICC area with... everyone else it really makes a massive mess. We've had to wait over an hour to pushback because of the traffic in and out of there before.
16:47 Jeff going all out JFK on that Delta there.
If you another video about this game, you have to do my fathers former workplace, Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
I'd like to see YYZ as well!
@@worldspottingexhibit And then listen to RUSH YYZ
Don't take the wrong way but u should of asked the man if he could do that airport ..just the way it sounds kinda of demanding
Another
Damn it skittles you beat me to it!

Funny you got the flu I just got it a few days ago
39:38 the Meltdown begins!🤣
Yay! Love these videos! You do great work Jeff! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a happy 2023
Air Traffic Controller: High suicide Rate
Jeff - “This is fun”
Love these videos Jeff! Just started at SWA as an FO. Happy New Year, keep the videos coming!
Congrats that is amazing!
Epic video Jeff! I had Flu A last week and it was terrible. Worst experience for me to end 2022, but I feel way better now. My brother had Flu B which is less severe than Flu A.
just a FYI the BR in the atis stands for Mist (BR). Broken would be for the ceiling which is Broken (BKN)
This game episode is major crazy to handle as a 1 man job. You have real patience, I would have left all of them to crash or go away and never come back LOL.
@20:40, how does a SKW5864 (computer) know which TWY to use before TWY_B ? I mean there are at least 3 TWY available between H 1-5.
That flu hit pretty hard. I’ve been out for two weeks straight. Glad you’re doing good
Glad your feeling better jeff and a Merry Christmas getting my first gaming pc in March with a 32 inch curved monitor and bought ats much love man thanks for all the years of entertainment and a happy new year
Oh Man as soon as I saw LAX I knew this was gonna be a tough one. Another great Video Jeff. Good to hear you guys are turning the corner with the Flu!
I really wish they had added an single player option to do only ground or tower etc. Would have been much more realistic.
watching this makes u appreciate ATC
Love this Jeff! My video doing the same thing at KLAX came out today as well - glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks you have to be mental to go it alone ahaha! Great fun to watch though!
They would never tell an aircraft to taxi “to the ramp via” without a crossing clearance. It would be taxi “x”, hold short of runway “x”. It’s good that they still wait despite your lack of a clearance.
Try playing the game
China cargo truly melting your brain gave me the laugh I needed today, thanks for that!
This game and you are golden combination!
Thanks Jeff, great help in deciding if I'm going to purchase this or not. For now i will stick with my Tower 3D pro.
Glad you're feeling better Jeff
Hey Jeff I want to see you and the guys drive my chilliad in tractor trailer trucks and fuel trailers to see who can do it please
Jeff kept on saying “Delta 817” but the Text to Speech was for some reason reading out Delta 849.
Yea I noticed the speech recognition was Not handing him saying Eight Seventeen, should have tried Eight One Seven lol
For future reference! BR on the metar means Mist! Best way to remember it is thinking it as “baby rain” love this vids and content!
Wow, this is so different from Tower 3D. I know Tower 3D is super old but was not expecting this to be the new version of it.
Very interesting game and merry Christmas
Ah, LAX, the airport that’s kind of infamous for large scale congestion issues due to expanding way too fast and using up all the land they were given when it was originally constructed from what I’ve been told, good times. 😑

Yeah which is hard to train your brain to do, it’s taxi to the ramp in the real world
Is there any way to make the pilots talk faster? Feel like that would help move things along a little bit. Love the video!
That one aggressive voice was really starting to get to me by the end of it :P
That Alaska flight sounded like chief from Arby and the chief 😂😂😂😂
Really enjoyed this and am looking forward to seeing some multiplayer on this one as well.
Jeff could you please make a video on how you set up your voice recognition cause I just really can understand it…
Jeff i'm glad that you are feeling much better!❤
you can now say "ALA2343 cross runway 25R" in advance of the plane stopping short of the runway, instead of waiting for the plane to stop short of the runway and then saying "ALA2343 continue taxi"
I hate it too when the voice don't work right but you have me cracking up😂
The only Southwest flights that left today...
Jeff awesome video if you could do a series on this game and showcase multiple airports on this game and if you could have an episode showcase kansas city international Airport id appreciate it
I would like to see meigs field, met a guy who worked there at my EAA chapter, he transferred to Chicago tracon before the raid tho
You have to do Atl
Aahh yes yes..I see you're a man of culture Jeff..lol I mess around with Tower! 3D Pro. I gotta say, obviously, this one looks a lot better, and fun. Love the content Mr Famingo👀🤘🏻
Jeff I would appreciate seeing you try KATL or EGLL
Hey Jeff, would you be willing to do Salt Lake International for ya boy in Utah?
I love this series
Thank you for playing this game Jeff
You really wanted N800PZ on 25R, called them there twice! :D
In case you don't know, you have to say "heavy" after stating the callsigh of an aircraft or it won't work.
Jeff it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a look at X plane 12
Its seems like u need someone to either help u with doing taxis or takeoff and landing with u Jeff on tower simulator
BR on the METAR under the ATIS means mist, not “broken”.
Hey Jeff when you are going to do another flight in MSFS
Good video Jeff very busy game looks like
Don't feel bad Jeff i just got over having the flu too
LAX is my favorite airport in both games. Is there any emergencies or delay in the game/campaign
Hope you feel better!
Is so funny see Jeff freak out
Is there any English airports available? If so, and it’s about, could you do Norwich? It’d be a quieter shift but busy enough
Norwich probably won’t be there tbh. I’d imagine the UK airports coming will be heathrow and Gatwick initially
In tower 3d pro there is the same bug about one airplane you can command what ever want, but no response. screwing the game complete when you are busy.
But it is still a great game, but sad they cannot solve that bug.
Holy smokes this was intense lol

Cheap entertainment 😀Good show man.
This looks fun but stressful 😂 looking forward to more
I hope they come out with seattle soon!!

Can we get an F in here for Jeff's poor brain cells being absolutely destroyed by the sheer pandemonium that's happening at LAX? 😂😂😂
hey jeff in the next video for tower 3 could you do KCI please thanks
Cape Girardeau Regional Airport?
This...this is awesome.
Don't think your meant to give cleared to land until it is clear, or it can be given once you know its defiantly going to be clear, with No1 still on approach a bit dangerous if No1 doean't clear the runway in time?
I’m the real world they would say clear to land number two, three etc. you can’t do that in this game
2:20 why would people think you have cancer?
Here's a trick...............callsign1234 weather 25R cleared for takeoff upon reaching altitude 1000 contact departure..........that way you can save yourself from handing them over to departure after such a long time***
That’s not a standard thing in the US
@@jfavignano understandably ...im just saying so that you it eases your time. Watched a live multyplayer of KLAX and it occured to me the south(takeoff) was congested and by using that you could shed off some time
I am missing your trucking videos
It's funny when they say covid is over and the flu makes a hard comeback. Hope you and your family feel better.
Lets see you melt down at Oakland/SFO
