Specifically, you are targeting architectural drawings and I get that. Your broad reach is in the title itself, "Evolution of Architectural Drawings - From Hand-Drawing to Computational Design to AI". I think it is an oversimplification to limit 'the story' to changes within architectural 'drawing' given the general public's current lack of understanding of what building, construction and manufacturing involves. I say 'current' because as traditional media falls away truth come to the fore. There is a lot more that I could say but allow me this one story as it relates to my 40 career in this gig; As a board-trained draughtsman, in Sydney Australia during the early 1980s (please stay with me younger leaders/readers) I was so proud of my top and bottom reinforced concrete layout drawings for a railway podium being developed for Hong Kong that I brought home a print of the A0-size layout to show to my mother. I knew exactly what every line meant on that drawing meant as I spread the print out on the dinner table that was rarely used for dinner. My mother said it looked like a whole lot of squiggly lines and I have carried that as 'shorthand' for what most people think when they see a construction document. My point? Correctly, there is a story about the development of two-dimensional representation 9technical drawing) that is or was used in industry until 'sometime' recently. That 'sometime' is determined by specific the industry with airplanes, toothbrushes and cars changing first and highway over-bridges coming last. How will we do Moon Base Alpha?
