Prototypes shown with options. Production models may vary.
Downhill Assist Control (DAC) is designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control and speed on steep, downhill descents. It is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including speed, grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether DAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner's Manual for further details.
Before towing, confirm your vehicle and trailer are compatible, hooked up and loaded properly and that you have any necessary additional equipment. Do not exceed any Weight Ratings and follow all instructions in your Owner's Manual. The maximum you can tow depends on the total weight of any cargo, occupants and available equipment. Calculated with new SAE J2807 method.

That's a really really nice way of saying we don't have downhill assist. Typical dealership talk.

Without the downhill assist control, it is very hard to consider Tundra as a viable overland vehicle build. You can always add a locker, but you can't add DAC.

now that the offroading segment of 1/2 ton pickups is growing, please let the next get Tundra have all the off-road goodies of the Tacoma, especially in the TRD Pro models. No more of this new grill and bed stamps to make it a TRD Pro. Make it a raptor killer.

LOL.. not true, Pit this against the Chevy G80 locker. Please show a real demonstration. I owned one and I switch to Tundra but I will surely miss the G80 locker!

I had a Chevy with the rear locker, bought a Tundra and the the A Trac system is incredible. Next best thing to a locker in front. My wife has the ZR2 with lockers front and back but we just but a new motor in it with just 12000 km on it. She looked at me and said " I should of got a Tacoma "
