Don't use priority pass within India.. you'll be charged USD27.. since it's for international usage.. just present the credit card within India
My priority pass always works in India at Delhi airport though without any charge. Which lounge did you use in India?

Lounge was plaza premium lounge.. and using priority pass in India (and not the credit card, though it will work) does attract charge.. i can say this coz it happened with me twice.. if it didn't happen with me, you must be lucky
Yes the same HDFC bank told me in India we have to access international terminal with CC and outside India we can access via Priority Pass free of cost. If we use PP in India international lounge it will be charged at 27$
Thanks, this is helpful. Based on my analysis TD Aeroplan Privilege is better than Amex Aeroplan Reserve in every category. Most of all TD reduces the yearly charges to (600$ -139$) if one has a TD All Inclusive Chequing account with min 5000k balance. Also TD allows switching to a different TD credit card, probably lower tier Aeroplan card without credit check which is not possible in Amex.
Great information, though i have one question i have dcb metal and an add on card too , but there will be only one priority pass since add on card is always provided with same credentials.Can u ket me know how to get a pp for add on member
The worst lounge is Toronto Airport lounge. They always only give preference to business class & emirates ( I have priority pass through platinum Amex ) & they always make excuses and never give access to priority pass.
Amex has lot of perks & everyone should get Amex if they can. Its worth it with all the perks it provides.
1.Can we access the airport lounge(either international or domestic) where we have to land or is it only before the departure.
2. Can we access the airport lounge during the layover where we have stopped either international or domestic?
Lounge accesses are during departure only, as far as I know, at the arrival airport I don't think there is any concept of lounge, likewise duty free shops
So to answer your second question, if you have a layover in a third airport and you have to change a flight, then you can definitely access to a lounge, and you can get it for free if you have the required card/pass

Now you are not getting lounge access with HDFC Regalia Card and they have stopped giving priority pass also
HDFC International Diners Black card has annual 10k+ taxes charges, as per their website
It is waived if the we make usage of 5Lakh in the last year.
Othet than that if you're saying it is free if someone matches the eligibility, I don't think that's correct

Most of the reputed banks like CIBC, TD also gives travel credit cards with free annual fees for 1-2 Years
RBC avion rewards credit card is the best which give more value to your points for travel

Thanks for creating this video, this video actually helped me with lot of points. You also talked about the Credit History. I am 9 months old in the country and my credit history is quite decent like I always pay my bills on time, I do follow multiple steps to build the history on higher side but even after researching a lot I could not really land to one or two good ways to follow to maintain it better. Can you please create a video like how you two manage your credit history or how did you build that when you came to Canada. :)

Have a chequing account with TD and maintain 5k daily balance. With bank account opened you can get TD Aeroplan Infinite card with yearly fee waived. This card doesnt have lounge access rest it is similar to Amex Reserve/ TD Priv card with less bonus points

I am student in abroad and I don’t have credit card and none of my family members have. I only use debit card, is there any criteria for debit cards?
Building credit history(credit score) is very imp. Avoid any debit card transactions unless very necessary. Get a basic cashback credit card without fee with your debit card institution. You could do transactions using credit card and later pay off using debit card. Typically travel cards have yearly fee unless you maintain min 5k balance in chequing account

Anyone with a Rupay debit or credit card can access lounge in india either international or domestic airport for free... Rupay card of any bank works..
not true, Bank like PNB have rupay cards but those basic cards are not accepted for free access
