My favorite game ever with mods, but that tells alot. This game had potential like people said, but was ruined by stubborn devs. This situtation is like in kitchen nightmares, but in a video game world. "Everybody is wrong, no one other can see what's best for the game." Classical can't see the forest for the trees situtation.

I recently started playing Skater XL with a Shadow PC. Its a PC streaming service you pay for monthly, and its a good way to learn the whole process of installing mods. I am planning to buy my own PC due to the Ping & Lag from Shadow streaming. But you’re right! The #1 reason I want a PC is for the XXL stats mod for Skater XL
Since I just bought a new PC for this game (it should arrive at the end of this month) i would really appreciate a video on how to get and install every mod properly. I know you did a video like this before but I thought, since we have a new version of skater xl, some things may have changed?
its really simple. download the latest version on unity mod manager and drap the .rar or .zip files into the mod section once you locate the skater xl folder in your steam apps.

As of right now I don’t think the current price is justified, but if they were to implement the xxlmod, object dropper and board customisation then I think more players could enjoy the game for longer. I’ve just figured out how to mod the game & it’s got me really enjoying playing again. On base game settings I usually get bored after 20mins but with the mod I play for hours. Hopefully the developers take your feedback on board. Even just the recent multiplayer update has made the game more enjoyable. Thanks for making this video Milky!
I installed the XLGraphics mod and it is showing up when I launch the game but I cannot figure out how to edit the settings. Clicking doesn't do anything.
I don't have the option to control the camera height in XL Graphics... Do I need to be a supporter to get this version of the mod? Or am I just missing something here.
More in-depth XXL mode comparison pls. I know this mode does everything, but I would like to see a comparison with vanilla. Different stat mod settings vs. vanilla played on vanilla maps!
Tbh out of all of theses mods I at a least hope for a sound mod for consoles and maybe an deck customized at least. And then of course Stats menu but we'll see lol

I wish they’d add these to console. I first purchased the game on steam, but my laptop just silent made for games. I still play a little bit most days, but would love a more realistic feel on console.

@@sushi8972 yea. It's says good to go. I've have the mod for a long time just barely use it. I've tried updating it and grabbing one of Dawgs discord over and over for an update but it's still 1.0 and not working for me. UMm is up to date so idk at this point.
It’s in session buy not nearly as advanced as some of the mods that were shown. Like the board utilities mod has way more freedom than just picking a board size in the skate shop.

@@punkkid1369 skater xl has only been out for 8 months like you said and has been in development for 2 years, session has been in development for 5 years and has not near the amount of content as skater xl, sessions graphics are way better but when talking about a skateboarding game i would much rather have better and more realistic gameplay than it to look fancy and getting a unrealistic board shape is fun it just shows the amount of freedom you can have with the game and the replay editor on session is not even in the same ball park as sxl even on the base version of the game, its choppy and for a game that is supposed to look realistic it looks more like a 4 year old trying to do a lego stop motion but i mean if you want to play a choppy, stiff, animated tricks, no freedom of style, game then by all means go ahead and play that piece of dog shit
@@sushi8972 ROFL have you played session at all? or since the 0.007 update? cause it actually has more then SXL offers from ACTUAL off board character control, bigger trick selections to NPCs that offer missions that reward in-game currency to use in the skate shop in an OPEN WORLD environment, SXL is literally nothing but a placement marker, mod browser with lame community content, limited tricks and has gotten worse in the physics department since 1.0. Session devs aren't currently worried about the replay editor until they get everything else finished they've even stated themselves that it will eventually get an overhaul.

i payed 450 for my pc in november and it runs fine but if you wanna build one now its going to cost a bit more because graphics card prices are crazy but my specs are ryzen 3 3200g, gtx 1650, and 16gb of ram but it will run fine with 8gb and it depends on how many mods you download the most a mod is going to be is like 1gb and thats for like big maps but other than that everything is under 1gb and the base game is only like 16gb. hope this helped

Iam Trying to get the full cost to play this game on pc. PC 600 + GAME LICENSE 50 + CONTROLLER 50 = around 700 i would say. It totally sucks that easyday won't mod the console version. Basically every single person who plays the game agrees that consoles need to be modded to have the physics working in a much more realistic way. Or have the stats menu for players to set it up according to their style of playing, that would be the best. And if you don't want the hassle of building it yourself, search for a cheaper pre-built online. I'd recommend finding something with a AMD RX 480 or a GTX 960. Those are dirt cheap now and won't be out of stock like the current GPU's are. In fact, you could go even cheaper and grab a "dime a dozen" HP, Dell, Acer, or Lenovo pre-built and then buy a low profile GPU like a Nvidia GT 710 and install it. Super easy and doesn't need a larger power supply or PCI-e power cables. A friend of mine bought a gaming PC pre-built from Best Buy a few years ago and it had a GT 710 in it. That thing ran Battlefield Hardline at 40fps at 900p on low settings! It is not a powerful GPU by any stretch, but if it can pull off an intense game like that, it would probably run SXL just fine. Just some tips for you, ultimately it is your chioce on whether you want to get into PC gaming seriously or just to use something "good enough" to run SXL.

I skateboard in real life since i was 8 and love tp simulate lines i do in real life...or go for lines i wish i could do in real life. But yeah i have a ps4 pro as well and probably would play anything else there, the pc would be only to play skater xl and modded richard burns rally, an old rally simulator. I have a lenovo carbon x1 here, it might run this games here are the specs. Intel core I5 6.200U CPU @2.4GHz 8gb of Ram It has not much info about the video card but it has a game mode on. Its a pretty fast laptop with an hdmi out that works perfect on my tv. And usb ports for controllers and solid state drive. I just dont want to pay for a copy of the game to try to run and theb it sucls. Theres a demo? Again thanks a lot

If you decide to go this route and are considering a GT 1030, there are two different versions. One has GDDR5 RAM, the other DDR4. Two completely different RAM types. The DDR4 type has crippled performance in comparison to the GDDR5. I don't know what Nvidia is thinking. I dig your vids, and i loved playing SkaterXL...but now that Session 0.0.0.8 is out I can't play SkaterXL anymore! Session is just so much better (for me) and it seems like a lot of these mods were implemented in their base game. Hopefully most of this gets added to skaterXL base game.

actually hasnt change on anything you just download the unitymod manager and drag and drop everything simple as that sounds

I dig your vids, and i loved playing SkaterXL...but now that Session 0.0.0.8 is out I can't play SkaterXL anymore! Session is just so much better (for me) and it seems like a lot of these mods were implemented in their base game. Hopefully most of this gets added to skaterXL base game.
The Original Camera Angle from SKATER XL is shit. Im sorry. I think the Camera Angle from Skate 3 Looks Way better. With the XL Graphics mod, it would be possible to make the same Camera Angle like in Skate 3. I have a question, if i would install this mod, would i Keep the camera angle, even if i delete the mod?
