- Today we check out 'Albuquerque' by TheVan and Brookzee. This map is literally the biggest map you can make in Unity before colliders stop working, making it the number 1 map in terms of size. Unfortunately the map was never quiet finished, but there are more then enough spots here to keep you busy for hours on end.

I remember Van started working on this map almost 2 years ago I have like over 8 different builds of it on my pc...I have spent hours on this map without ever getting bored!!! Thanks for the vid glad you enjoyed the map!
@9:30 fun fact that’s actually a recreation of an infamous gap if I’m not mistaken, seeing these map creators incorporating real spots into there creations is great. It feels like the equivalent of an “Easter egg”
Hats off to the creator of this map, its so massive and feels so realistic with spots just spread out randomly, i dont even wanna know how long it took to make
The Van started making this map over 2 years ago he use to stream his progress on it, im sure he would be so happy to hear you like his creation he is a really cool dude!

I actually live in Albuquerque and it's really cool because those ditches are EVERYWHERE all throughout the city. I use one by my house and it takes me straight to the skatepark, cuts through the whole city 15 minutes of just downhill cruising.

yeah I recognise the staircase bowl spot from a Thrasher King of the Road video.
had a look and that staircase quarterpipe spot at 12:54 I've found is actually in El Paso, Texas.
That is Mt. Baldy pipe...and the pool right before that was the Nude Bowl!
The spot around 12:55 is seriously cool. Had a look as I recognised from a Thrasher video, turns out it is in El Paso called Green Bowl.

Yea thinking back.. I maybe should’ve put the $600 from my series X and $800 for my PS5 (no not from a scalper, from Costco the GOW bundle) towards a PC. But then again, at least we don’t gotta deal with hackers really on console. There’s cheaters that use K+M with that thing that makes it register as a console. But then again the platforms support it so I don’t know if it’s cheating.

Man this map looks incredible. Haven't jumped on XL since Session dropped but I might have to change that. 100% make a follow up video playing on the beta to take advantage of the wallrides and transition, this was so much fun to watch. I actually love banks that aren't splined, super fun to try powerslide combinations to do 'fake' grinds. I made an entire edit in the Easy Day High ditch doing it.
Even though I'm stuck playing console skater XL, I loved this video because this is what goal oriented gameplay looks like. You gotta work for it. Yes, I understand that is the major differentiator between session and and XL, where session is more centered around the struggle. XL offers more flow to decompress from the struggle. The struggle is mainly about making the trick look good in XL. I'm predominately a tech fan, but over the years, style has become what's most appreciated to me. You have more of a say in how the trick looks in XL. Session's bouncy drooping grind animation is hard to overlook. The lack of fluid control of how to affect the look/style of tricks are is really my deal breaker.
Indian school ditches in albuquerque are sick irl. i moved to Albuquerque 15 years ago and fell in love with it here

Hey Shawn just wondering how you can play this game so much and not feel burnt out I’ve been playing the game probably for as long as you have but lately the game just feels weird like i can barely do the stuff i used to so i went and downloaded your boned, fro and stats settings because i see you having so much fun with the game so much years later especially with the lack of updates for 2 years any tips on how to feel fresh on the game? I was gonna start buying patreons for upcoming maps and stuff but i cant find the creators of those amazing things in the making, but i do know i should probably mess with my settings to my liking to enjoy the game more
Take a break if you need to dude! I felt that way for a long time, took me around 3 months to break out of that but I came back feelin fresh after playing some other games for a while. Remaking all of your stats from scratch and downloading some fresh gear is a good way to get excited about it again too.
