Thanks for the explanation! I'm having trouble with bubbles as I can open my feet but really struggle when closing the bubble. Do you have any tip for me? I'm watching all your videos now!
Hey Paula! Keep weight in center and towards the back of your skates. Pull your toes towards each other, and use your inner thighs... If your weight is on your toes or your toes are cramping down that will hinder you. You may also need some more momentum~!
@@kasumikat another suggestion is to make sure to bend your knees on the out - and feel like you’re digging in your feet (heels) into the ground to help creat momentum. Once momentum is created you should have enough to pull hard with your toes to close the bubble 😊 hope that help!
Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying the tutorials. Stay tuned and make sure you are subscribed so you get your weekly post! :) Stay well, happy skating!
Thanks for pointing out where the weight should be on the 2 foot spin - I've never heard anyone else mention that it should be on the big toe and inner heel, I'm going to practice that today :)
Have you tried adjusting your trucks? I was having such a hard time doing bubbles until I loosened my trucks slightly, and then I could! It helps add flexibility to the wheels so you can lean inwards and outwards!
Hi Emma! How's are you doing now with your bubbles? I missed a bunch of comments somehow- maybe not using the right method of responding.. But anyhow i would say to keep weight off toe wheels and aggressively pull in with your toes and thighs.
Hey Llaran! I think I need to see what you’re talking about. Are you on IG? Can you send me a clip of what you are doing? I can give feedback. My question to you is where is your weight on your feet? Where are you pressing?
Any idea what can I improve to get rid of a lower back pain when doing bubbles? After doing a few one after another the pain starts to kick in and I need to have a longer rest? I don't have this problem when I just skate forward and using pushing technique?
Most newer skates subconsciously tense their lower back muscles. Stretch before and after you skate. It should ease up and you get more confident in your skating.
Oh no haha. I do call this one the thigh master 😆 but maybe don’t think about the thigh muscles and just think about pressing/ pushing Down into the ground and move your body with your feet.
This is seriously the BEST tutorial on these I have seen. Although they look simple...It’s not as easy as a beginner would expect. You explain how weight is key. I’ve mastered this based on your video after watching many. Thank you sooo much!

i’m the same. try not going out as much and a try starting a little faster? see if that helps. i’m not a pro skater but just see if that works :)
