Amazing work on the shoes in all your videos, that goes without saying. But, I love the presentation, the interaction with the viewers, the good humor maintained throughout. Time simply flies while watching your videos!😃
WOW.......I can't express the craftsmanship you showed us. I also cannot believe you worked on your day off.......Craftsmanship and a love for what you do.
Again you made a miracle,no need to say, you're an excellent Craftsman, artist, Michael Angelo of shoes heaven world, salute to you the master of masters.
'I know what you some of guys are thinking: that's never gonna look good. Omg, Steve ruined the shoes!' That thought never even crossed my mind lol you are a true master of your craft. Happy 4th!
That one was a labor of love! The construction of that shoe just made it have such clean and simple, yet elegant lines. What a solid base as well. Fine work Steve! That would be a nice pair of shoes to have.
Such a beautiful pair of loafers. I imagine I'm not the only one who would give a pretty penny for a pair. Nice work Steve. I appreciate that you approach such fine shoe repair almost as a conservator. Best!
With the exception of cutting the upper leather shapes, you, in essence, built a new pair of shoes. Simply amazing. It is so interesting to see how different manufacturers make shoes and the very clever way you make them better than new. These videos are so wonderful to watch. Thank you Steve. I almost wish I had a great pair of shoes that I needed fixed.
I dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Esteban Tate I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Esteban Tate DAMN IT REALLY WORKED :O I literally got access to my ig account within roughly 45 minutes of using the site. Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
Favourite video Steve by far. Really interesting to see to see the different construction to a typical Goodyear welt. End result was indeed fantastic. Congratulations. I'd love to see you create a video that takes us through the final finishing stages. I do sometimes get frustrated that we get near the finish and then the next thing we see is the finished product. Anyway...take that as you will. I love your videos anyway. I have a couple of pairs of Florsheim Imperials that might find their way to you one day from here in Australia if I get to the point where they need a resole. Thanks for taking the time to make your videos.
Stephen, what a job! -You are indeed a Master Craftsman. I enjoy watching you work, combining creativity, best techniques, and experience to create amazing Fine Crafts pieces. I’m sure you will inspire many budding cobblers to follow your standards. Regards.
You're so cute doing what you love to do. I discovered that on my mom's side of the family my great, great grandfather and his brother were cobblers in VA. When my ancestor was in the Civil War he traveled with the troops as both a soldier and a cobbler, he survived the war, returned home and resumed his life as a rural cobbler and farmer. When I was married I discovered my husband's great grandfather and his brother had been also both been cobblers in rural Maryland and also participed in the Civil War, at that time the old family home and outbuildings were still standing, having been inherited by a male relative that never married. Several buildings were being used to store hay and one housed chickens. Much of the old equipment used by the cobblers was still in one of the old buildings, even some ancient shoes. I was 19 at the time and not all that interested in my husband's family history and unaware of my own family history involving cobblers. I wish now that we'd tried to salvage some of the items. My son is not a cobbler despite having cobbler ancestors from my his father's family. I really enjoy watching your videos because they give me some insight into some of what my ancestors may have done although I imagine their work was much more primative and basic. I'd imagine back then a cobbler was very necessary and probably busy serving the community.
This video is in my top three of all your videos--you outdid yourself with these shoes! And my dad loved his Florsheims too--they were his favorite, so nice to see these being worked on. Very enjoyable to watch.
The classic *IVY LEAGUE SHOE!* ... at least that's what my uncle had said. Florsheim was my late uncles favorite shoe, which was the first time I had heard of this company. *A beautiful restoration by Steve!* I do respect a few makers that do create these stunning foot wear.
Bedo, the rec-rafting of that Florsheim Imperial moccasin is EXCEPTIONAL WORK. For the amount of work details that has to be restored to original is quite improbable to do, however, it was accomplished exceptionally well!!! EXTREMELY COMMENDABLE ... EXCEPTIONAL WORK ACCOMPLISHED!!!
Amazing workmanship. Kinda reminds of restoring a classic car, by the time you’ve cut out the rot and replaced all the panels the only original part left is the ash tray and the floor mats 👍☺️
I had to watch this one again Steveroo... Love these shoes and had many Florsheims over the years... What a great job you did on these shell cordovan loafers, it's amazing what you can do... Awesome...! Greg
As always, love watching you repair shoes. It’s so mesmerizing. I like the shoe repairs more than the boots, although I do like the boot repairs, I just like the shoe repairs better. And you’re so good at it too.
Gorgeous work. Love that style of loafer. Have a pair of Sebago's, (obviously, not shell cordovan), in that style, that I picked up for $13 at a Goodwill store. All leather sole, with a Goodyear welt. In excellent shape. Looks as if they had been worn maybe a month. "Ok...let's continue". 👍😎👍
The pen holder gag was PRICELESS! Geez, how many times have we all gone, "Now, where the poo did I put my [insert missing item here]!?" Good to be reminded of our human foibles in a humorous way - Thanks, Steve.
Steve, your level of expertise in your trade is way above and beyond anything I've seen done to leather. The fact that you were confident enough to tackle this project speaks volumes. I fear your trade is becoming a lost art. How did you ever learn this and how long have you been doing this Steve?
If I were in the USA, I would be bringing my shoes only to Mr. Steve here. In every video, I see a very serious and professional approach to each repair. The end result speaks for itself. It's like having a favourite doctor/ mechanic; the same applies here. Mr. Steve, I commend your work in the shoe repair industry.
It is very enjoyable to see someone enjoying their work so much. Many never get to experience this type of joy. Thanks Steve!! They look amazing, not even the same shoes. Beautiful work - cool horn!!
You should be VERY proud of yourself Steve (as you do) you kinda went out of your comfort zone! You went head on and SUCCEEDED, well done sir! These shoes look absolutely marvelous lol Cheers bro
another wonderful job these shoes are so beutiful and you had every right to feel good about your work. iIf the shoe horns ever came about i would love to order one.
hmmm... it's coffee time... Thank you, Steve, for sharing this video. Impressed beyond belief that you remade, rebuilt, restitched, added new leather, conditioned and dyed the shoes like new. I learn something new each time I watch you. It's Hammertime! (I wonder who one of the thumbs down people are?).
I'm starting on my third video of yours..... tonight! A Louis Vuitton bag. Lol. I'm going to be bummed when I get thru your entire back library. Lol. Keep em coming!
That was a "wow". Unbelievable how well they turned out. I think it's pretty safe to assume there's no more than a dozen (if even that many) people in the country that could turn out a similar result. This is definitely a job to put in your show-off portfolio.
Since I have seen so many of your other repairs I am really able to understand why you enjoyed doing this and your right you can be proud of this it is amazing. Once on his feet people won’t even be able to tell the work you did. It was also clear in the video you were enjoying doing this job. Wow. Beautiful
An extensive restoration to be sure!!! Thank goodness you have the Master skills and knowledge that you have in order to complete this job to your usual high standards...lets continue!
Holy Soley ! At what point do you write a shoe off ? You are indeed a footwear magician. I get more suspense out of these videos than most films, I love the craftsmanship.
Lol. Cripey yipey, lol. Watching him repair shoes is better than Calgon. Shake your head and an hour is gone. I have Bedos marathons every few months, shoes, LV bags
Again, I say I love watching you work & listening to the shop sounds & your explanations. A beautiful job!!! And a peaceful way to spend the 4th of July (unless your family wishes you were home...?)
I really commend your commitment to perfection as I have a number of good shoes I’d love to send to you for repair. But being retired I no longer wear most of them and they sit in my closet. In any case I enjoy your pursuit of perfection so keep up the great videos. John Morgan, Delaware
Quite the pretty shoe it is. I like the simplistic lines and well thought seamwork. And of course, the top work to restore it. Always a pleasure watching you work.
Florsheim Yuma Imperials are awesome shoes. They re-released them a few years ago (2006 I think) as the "Langford" but haven't seen them available since. Wish Florsheim would release the Yuma again and make them a permanent fixture in their Imperial line along with the Kenmoor and the Como. Great job Steve!
Steve, I could tell- you enjoyed working on these. This was a great opportunity for you to be able fix these Florsheim Yuma's. Fantastic, they look fantastic! Another Beautiful work of art!! I loved the "Hammer time" warning, it was great & cute, too. Oh, I thought something was wrong... I missed your air compressor coming on. Please don't tell me you went & got it fixed...just when I am used to it. Haha I guess I'll break that habit. I hope you had a Happy 4th. Beautiful! Take care & God Bless.
You're truly a shoe wizard. I had to pause the video halfway through and look for these on eBay. They're beautiful. I wonder if the Florsheim family ever regret selling the company.
Just received in the mail my brand new Florsheim Yuma loafers. Absolutely Awesome. Thanks Steve.
CHEERS......
Sandy
Paul Bielen my pleasure
Paul, could you tell us a little history on these shoes?
Amazing work on the shoes in all your videos, that goes without saying. But, I love the presentation, the interaction with the viewers, the good humor maintained throughout.
Time simply flies while watching your videos!😃
Unbelievable, what a master craftsman. Steve, you have convinced me that buying quality crafted shoes are worth the money.
WOW.......I can't express the craftsmanship you showed us. I also cannot believe you worked on your day off.......Craftsmanship and a love for what you do.
Steve always does a great job when he repairs a pair of shoes, he puts nothing but TLC into them. He could repair my shoes any day, I just love him.
Again you made a miracle,no need to say, you're an excellent Craftsman, artist, Michael Angelo of shoes heaven world, salute to you the master of masters.
I have just discovered that I have 4 videos to watch that I missed while I have been ill. I had 6 but I've already watched 2.
Regards Rowena 🇬🇧

@Jeremy Jaziel you are welcome :)
Mr. Bedo is feeling his oats. All kidding aside, that was an especially good reconstruction. It deserves an award.
The end result earned my subscription! Fantastic rebuild!!
That was really interesting. Never realised that the leather in a moccasin went completely under the foot. Beautiful restoration yet again. Well done.
You are not just a very skilled craftsman, you are an artist. Beautiful job...👍👍👍
I don't know how many times you hear this, But your doing an important services for your fellow man. God bless you!

all the repairs you do are extraordinary , they are tons harder then making everything from new , always keep on smiling and all the best .
