Thank you so much for this. I'm building up my portfolio for my application for art college and was frustrated trying to paint a huge group of bushes. This helped an incredible amount, thank you so much
Tremendous painting, and the timing could not be better. I want to attempt a painting very similar to this of a view from my in-laws rear deck into the bush. I had no real idea of what to do, you've just shown me! So, thank you very much.
I have been watching tutorials fulltime for 2 years and just ran into you today! That means that tons of people have not seen your videos yet! So many many thumbs-up to come! You deserve it so much ! Great teacher! Thank you so much!
Thank you Laura,i couldn’t have asked for a better teacher on how to paint bushes.Very well articulated i love ❤️ the fact that some one finally demonstrated exactly how to paint bushes.THANK you again, for your time and your experience.
I have been watching many painting, but your explanation is sooo clear, simple, understandable . I learned so much from this short tutorial. Thanks dear
THANK YOU. Oh my god I’ve been waiting forever to find a painting tutorial for a bush i need to finish a painting and I swear nothing worked until now. Everyone makes it look so easy to do and I ruin it every time 😂
Thank you so muchhhh for this.. just started painting again and I'm gonna run to the art shop tomorrow to get that round bristle brush🖌🎨💗 please continue to share your knowledge 💗 thanks again🎨🖌
I came here for the bushes, but seriously... this eye in the background is freaking me out. But the tutorial is still quite helpful, thank you! Oh, and about the brushes, I am coming from miniature painting and I often use cheap make-up brushes for things like dry brushing or for covering larger surfaces that need a bit of a structure. I guess they would do the job here just as well, especially when you are new to the hobby and might waste a couple of brushes anyway.
Are bushes easier to paint with round brushes? You make this look so simple. I wonder if you can use this technique to paint clouds. Edit I'm trying to paint over a watercolor painting with acrylic paint. I had trouble because the bushes were all shades of green. Wish I had watched this video last week.
Can you please tell me about the brush you are using, my brushes have soft bristles and paint tends to get merged when I want such effect. Also which brand’s acrylic colours are you using here?
Everytime I watch a new tutorial i need a new brush 😭
And I’m thinking, I have one similar somewhere.😂
Same with me 😢
Exactly same here
By far the fastest, easiest tutorial on painting bushes. Thank you!!

If you could say how much paint you need on your brush that would be helpful. Do you wet your brush first? My painting is quite wet and streaky.
not a lot of paint, and no i dont wet it
For once an artist does what she said she’d do in less than 5 minutes. Excellent job!
Do you let the painy dry between shades?
it's acrylic so it dries almost immediately
I tried to achieve this with a fan brush and it wasn’t working. Thanks for the tips!
Did you let the black dry first before starting with the green? i ask because my bushes were very dark. Super beginner over here.
Yep!
Nice video
Where do I get these brushes I need them 😫
there's links in the description
Beautiful. But i don't have this brush
Great tutorials. Think I’m gonna be better with acrylics than watercolours haha
Can you please tell me about the brush you are using, my brushes have soft bristles and paint tends to get merged when I want such effect. Also which brand’s acrylic colours are you using here?
the brushes and paints are listed in the description. The paint is just craft paint.
Very। good
I presume each color has to dry first?
yep
Sponges are very good to 😂
Where to buy this kind blush ?
there's a link in the description
Putting black first is important ?
I'm just using it as the shadow :)
What brush is this?
its in the description
Brush nameeee???????
That's a bristle brush.
