I feel like the hardest thing about pad is getting used to feeling uncomfortable. The way I held mine and spent the some time playing other characters is completely different than how I need to hold it for wavedash and your hand cam really helped me with it. Although I'm not quite sure yet how you roll your thumb so fast and even less sure how to perfectly time an electric with these fast inputs but It will surely get there with time.
I just go the kitsune today and it’s my first lever less controller. I’m making progress slowly by following this guide. I just need to get the muscle memory now 😊.
Bro I never really wanted to get like super good at tekken til tekken 8 but seeing this blows my shitter man🤣🤣🤣🤣. Bro that shit is like a glitch that became so much part of the gameplay that it’s like “that’s just tekken being tekken”😭😭😭. Man I never realized how crazy fun this series can be man. Your videos are exactly what I’ve been looking for. Long term sub from here on out. Thanks for all the guide and these types of videos man
Don’t worry about doing advanced stuff like this in lower ranks. Ppl are just mashing down there and don’t even know what plus frames are so they will never respect your turn lol. Just block and punish until you start playing decent ppl then try adding it in
@@sGzBugz on a positive I did learn to wavedash. I haven’t done it in ranked, because like you said. I am now trying to learn to ewgf out of the wave dash. I can do it when not wave dashing but it’s so hard lol.
From what I've learned so far (new to Tekken and still learning) is that you can punish their spam by converting the wavedash into a hellsweep forcing them to either block low or just eat sweeps. I'm sure that won't work everytime though, depends on the player @@WorldsFairlol
Thanks for the video! Play on the controller and trying to learn to get better in tekken. Takes allot of practice to master this. Question, what is the best way ti hit the buttons? I alway use my thumb for pushing. But see also people using index and middlefinger to hit buttons on a controller. What is better?
I don't know what fat thumbs I need to do this with your grip, but mine can't be on the pad like yours 😂How on earth am I supposed to have my thumb on both forward and down and press them without moving the tip of my thumb down?
Tekken 8 made a change where when your character is far from the opponent double tapping forward becomes a run. This messes up my wave dash a lot. Is there a way I can fix it? and is it a problem with my input or is it a setting I can change?
am i the only one who plays on an xbox joystick (analog stick) i can do pretty decent wave dashes and im consistent with electrics just no one has guides for them XD
Dude I can’t use pad. I just can’t😭 I use the analog stick cuz that’s what I’m used to. Don’t get me wrong sometimes the stick pisses me off cuz I swear it doesn’t feel accurate a lot of the time. However I just HATE the pad buttons. Like idk if I’m making since but they don’t have the same hand feel that I enjoy when I use the stick. Not only that but they’re too small and it’s just not for me. I’m thinking if I am gonna learn a different controller, I’ll probably use a hitbox. It’ll probably be more accurate, more comfortable, and I won’t have the issue where I feel like the buttons are too small. Ik I’ll suck ass in the beginning but I’ll be persistent
Keyboards follow the same rules as leverless pads. It took me a while to figure that out after switching to keyboard but any leverless pad strats will work on keyboard. They are the exact same. ESPECIALLY if you have a spare keyboard you can remove the excess buttons from. it will function exactly like a leverless pad.

Bind 2+3 to lb and electrics will be easier

Dood, this is going to hurt my soul to no ends learning this.
Would it kill ya to use input display in training mode bro

Absolutely needed this! Cheers for the tip!

For leverless you can also add index finger of right hand (p1) to do wavedash faster.
You’re dropping bangers keep em coming bro ❤
Ty for zooming in. I will try it when my fighting stick arrives 😄
It seems impossible especially in low ranks when everyone is just mashing everything and always sprinting at you

up: thumbtip
right: thumbtip or first thumb joint
down: first thumb joint
left: thumbtip or first thumb joint
Nice wave dash on pad. How do you do it with analog?
He didn't mention the SOCD wavedash method on P2 side with leverless.
What stick are you using at 3:09?
what gate do you use on an arcade stuck?
Correct me if I’m wrong but for controller
P1 ➡️⬇️⬇️➡️ repeat
P2 ⬅️⬇️⬇️⬅️ repeat

because twice down in the wave dash.
I need another lesson on the pad can't get it for nothing.
Whats that song at 0:33?
Kakuri-yo Kagura (Normal)
why doesn't this work for me? My character just side steps
Not every character can wavedash. It’s pretty much just Mishimas. And Hwoarang for some reason
Do u use the knee neo lever ?
I cant do it on cbox series :(
what is that arcade stick name ?
I don't know what fat thumbs I need to do this with your grip, but mine can't be on the pad like yours 😂How on earth am I supposed to have my thumb on both forward and down and press them without moving the tip of my thumb down?
So an electric is just a wavedash into 2?
Only in heat. Otherwise, you have to press the last input of the wavedash at the same frame as 2.
It's easier to do in tekken 8 , that's forsure .
pretty much, this is why wavedashing is a must if you play mishima
I have small thumbs n I can’t do consistently
Which do you think works best for ps5 ? I was going to get a lever less but idk what’s licensed that can be used for a ps5 ?
Hori fight stick
The leverless Razer Kitsune if officially licensed by Playstation and Capcom.
my fingers dont work like that

You're holding you're second forward a little too long. I was having this issue too
Can u do heat dash on dual sense tutorial? Pls

Wavuwavu... Very excellent guide🎉🎉🎉
Thank you 😁
me sitting here with a keyboard
It's the same as doing it with a leverless on keyboard

ok where keyboard?
Don't know if you're being serious or not but... basically the same as leverless style

Most impossible technique in a fighting game igdaf what ANYONE says bro 😂😂
I kno..its Fking stupid lol
It's easier on hitbox and stick. Pad players gonna struggle for a while but eventually get it
