Someone suggested that you should visit the native tribes there in the Philippines, they have deep connection with Africa as they originally migrated there as well. I'd suggest getting someone who can translate for you as well to go there.
Philippines is a great Vacation destination. The People are very friendly and Helpful. The next time you go to Philippines try going to Baguio, Angeles City and Olongapo, these are Cities in Luzon. Mac tan used to have a U.S. Military Base Just as Luzon had several Military Bases. I have spent most of my Military Service Overseas. I have spent around 7 years in the Philippines, 4 Years in Korea and 3 Years in Germany. But Philippines was always my favorite.

Maybe "maligayang pagdating" but it sounds way too official, like you put it in posters. "Maligayang pagdating sa Cebu". But you can just say welcome. It's more conversational that way.
