Sorry everyone - we lost the setup footage. Running the Xeigu G90 through 50ft of RG8X into the MFJ1979 whip, extended all the way for 20m. Trucker mirror mount on an old broomstick inside a swooper flag stake base. 6 radials. SWR on the floor for the whole band!

@@airheadzradioadventures no problem it just goes to show what can be done with a QRP rig another callsign to look out for on the cluster is 2E0HPI he goes out and does POTA,Flaura and Fauna most of the time running 50watts or less as that is all us Intermediate license holders are allowed .MFJ antenna have you tried it with a wolf river coil .

Hey!!!! So we were just figuring it out as we went (equipment wise and pretty much everything else too 😂) and I got on Amazon and bought some simple clip on mics with great reviews (pretty inexpensive too!) and a tripod to hold my iPhone…. I can’t remember the specifics, but I’m pretty sure between both things it was less than 60 bucks and they’ve served well for every video! 😊 ~Katie

Have not tried it with a coil. I can get 20m and up by reducing the whip length pretty successfully.

We just use an Iphone on a tripod and suction cup mount. Katie, can you tell him what mics we use?
