Love that spot. Nice job on the bone! Now that I'm back in town I'm anxious to stick some fish! I've missed the bay. Maybe I'll run into you our there.
The Bonefish that are present in Sd bay is actually a different species from the ones present in the atlantic, but, I still understand where that comes from lol
@@BearzG Cool thanks for info. Probably pass on it. Want something to replace my daiwa arid coastal for kayak fishing in the bay. Wore down something in the clutch. Only working like a pitching reel. Ecb&t couldn't get parts for it. Might take a chance on a shimano salty one.
@@otroflores91 get the tatula 200 Minor maintenance. Line capacity etc. I own 12 tatulas. Firm believer of an. My oldest is 6 years old and still running strong.
@@BearzG Thanks for the 1st hand experience. I've looked into the 200 HD tatula and the daiwa coastal 200 could never really decided between the two. I believe the coastal is a bit older design than the tatula but not sure. Anyways I'll be picking one of the two up next paycheck.
i finding better luck near the pier and old ferry landing on the Coronado side, drifting on the in coming tide. how bad was the reel? keep these vids coming... not only "dope" content but educating us newbies to this sport we all enjoy!
Target corbinas are spotfin croaker that would be good vids
Where is back bay? Is that South Bay, Chula Vista near the salt plant?
Hey is there any particular reason you use the chartreuse color of j braid? You wouldn’t think it’d do so well since the high visibility for the fish.
I see the bite before i feel it. Its saltwater fishing. Not freshwater.
What kind of waders do you have? Do they leak? Recommend the?
I’ve fished that side of the bay back in the 90s early 2000s and never caught anything worth while. You can walk 100 yards and be at your waist.
Oooh I got some hawgs back there on my kayak. nice vid.

Big fan bro. Keep them coming
They got fat halibut down there...specifically by Lowe’s.
Bruh bonefish are amazing fighters. I caught one on North Island pier on a texas rigged YUM Dinger lol
Yeah. Theyre fun to hook up on. They use to be so common here in San Diego Bay but they all chill in the back now.
Caught a bonefish way back in the day in Long Beach. They do fight hard.
I just hooked up to my first one yesterday in LB at Cherry Beach lol. Hmu if you wanna double up 🤙🏼
Yeah buddy like you said we use to catch bonefish under Spanish Landing bridge with ghost shrimp 6lb test keep up the good fishing 🤘🏽👊🏽
You know it! Good times back then. But theyre still around.
By all means more wadding videos..would like to see on a map where you started at (your first spot) very cool vid! 👍🏽
Funny thing is that some folks pay thousands of dollars to travel around the globe to catch bone fish when they are right within the SD Bay.

The wading vids are 🔥
What's your thoughts on the older Daiwa t3s? Have the chance to pick up a lightly used one for cheap.
Theyre good. Require a lot of maintenance.

Daiwa Tatula 200 HS would be your best bang for the buck. Capacity, drag and most importantly, salt friendly.
