I Agree with you. From a Very promising beginning to a bogged down and mishandled opportunity and failure of its FULL potential of cinematic execution ⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
I thought the first scene was so well done and then after the restaurant scene, it went to hell... no pun intended. I think this is literally the best example of message destroying story which is what Disney is now famous for.

It doesn't take much to understand this movie and if you like it, that's totally fine. Opinions aren't right or wrong but as far as movies go, this is a very poorly made film. If someone is a Christian? They will enjoy it a lot more than someone who isn't.

Noted on the sativa... This movie was just not well done and I agree, it's the story. I did think that the first 15 minutes were a really good set up it got lost by prioritizing a message and not the story. It's still a movie and the story should always come first over any intended messaging.
I think the worst part is the dialogue in two scenes was rlly nice and The villain was good in his scenes but something felt stunted. Also "if he loved you why would he let me do all this" is such a hard line for such a mediocre movie.
Agreed... they had the beginnings of pretty good movie idea, even with the devil and religious theme, but then it became all about the "message" and less on the "story" and it went downhill very fast.
@@PoprageousTV exactly i just wish. More religious movies were good movies first. Its strange how manymovies like this anr gods not dead tend to misunderstand actual ppl and simultaneously talk down to their audience about a faith they have in common.
The Shift claims to be a retelling of Book of Job, but it's plainly not. Job was tormented by God, who sends the Accuser to cirse him as a Test of Faith, but in the Shift, the Benefactor isn't working for God, or testing Kevin, He's just a mischief maker all on his own, so it's not even the same story. Christians cannot make Biblically accurate Book of Job Movie, because audiences everywhere will see God as the uncaring Villain that He is.
Absolutely misleading trailer. Had no mentions of Christianity and did not demonstrate how bad the acting, effects, or editing were. So misleading that we ended up walking out and getting a refund, which is literally the first time we've ever done that (and we sat through Orphan: First Kill).
Agreed... It was misleading. I knew that Angel Studios was a faith based production company but from what I had seen, I did not think that the "message" was going to take the place of the story.
I can see ur point and the movie is actually good and is better compared to most multiverse movies snd shows nowadays and has a good message and in my opinion i think your overreacting about the movie like its not trash at all and you dont like the preaching?
FANBOY, it looks like we disagree on this one too. When they prioritized the message over story, the movie went downhill fast. I'm sure most Christians will like this movie and that's definitely the intended audience, but from a mainstream perspective, this is simply a bad movie that loses itself in its own message.
@@PoprageousTV its only a bad movie if it has a bad message. When a non Christian movie is dumb but fun they say fun but when a Christian movie is actually fun they say bad! Its also meant to reach people who aren't with God. And as a person who doesn't talk to God as much as I should I like this movie and its a modern storytelling about job and they did the devil accurately and most movies like non Christian movies should focus on story over message but Christian movies should be able to tell a great story and have a great message. Of course Hollywood hates this movie. Sure its not the best written but I find it entertaining and like the message and also does not twist the message. I’ll start off by saying that I love our Creator Jesus. I have not seen this movie but I might just to see that I’ll probably agree with you because I don’t think that preachy movies really bring anyone to Christ IMO. They actually drive some people away. I think you’re a real good movie reviewer.
i appreciate your review except that you told the entire story of the movie … you gave it all away…. i’ll give you a score of 3.5 as a reviewer because you spoiled the story. Why bother seeing it for free when we now know the entire story including ending.
WTF are you taking about... I ripped this movie.... Gave it a 4 out of 10. Did you watch the whole video? Even the title says to take the "F" out of the title. My suggestion is to take some English classes so you get above the 3rd grade level of reading.
You do realize that if you take away the f it would be "The Shit" right. Like I know it's weird but that's considered a compliment. Like for example people say" Yo that movie was the shit man" which translates to "that movie is really good."

Selfish or Selfless
Would you decide to be rich or poor
