Imagine being the poor SOB that has to write 1 - 5000 in all those little boxes on the hard cases. Great video!
Yeah that job would be tedious for sure. For some reason, it seems like they can afford to have these be numbered by the printer who does the boxes and slips, but the hand written numbers makes it a little more of a personal touch to me. I like it!
There's something so comforting about Vinegar Syndrome collection videos even more so than other boutiques for me. I have a lot of these titles, but I never getting tired of seeing them on my shelves or on the shelves of fellow like-minded collectors. I still have a drive-in cinema near me that operates from May to September. It's been around since the 60s and just a few years back upgraded to twin screens. I try to get there every year at least once. The food and atmosphere is amazing and kind of makes certain recent films seems more akin to these older flicks, and made for the drive-in even though most folks won't see them there, especially horror or goofy action stuff like The Meg, for example.
Hey Tony. I’m glad you enjoy these videos. Thanks for watching and commenting and it’s always very nice to hear from you sir.
The art on some of these is jawdroppingly gorgeous. Sending you my best buddy .
Thank you so much 😀
0:01 I had to Google Todd's poetic quote since it was unfamiliar to me and it comes from 'The Candle' as performed by King Diamond. :)
That whole album, Fatal Portrait, is excellent. It’s a horror movie that plays out from beginning to end through the songs. It’s not for everyone, but damn it’s so good to me.
Astonishing VinSyn collection, Todd. Excellent video.
Glad you enjoyed it
No way! You just quoted King Diamond!! Great intro from an amazing album. Thanks for another great video, Todd!
16:18 Like you, Todd, when I was a kid, I wasn't very fond of black and white movies, but I did enjoy many black and white TV series like 'The Andy Griffith Show', 'I Love Lucy', 'The Little Rascals', the earlier 'Gilligan's Island' episodes which later became full colour episodes, etc. and over the years, I've developed a greater appreciation for black and white movies, particularly for Universal Monsters movies, Film Noir crime movies, etc.
Black and white can create a lot of atmosphere (like in 'The Wolfman' starring Lon Chaney Jr. which is one of the most gorgeous black and white horror movies ever filmed, particularly with the foggy forest scenes/sets) and from a film study point of view, one can learn a lot about how to compose a shot (or a still), how to use light and shadow, how lighting from unusual angles can create drama, etc. One can learn those aspects from colour movies too, but black and white is a lot less distracting than colour film can be, so one can concentrate on the best that black and white has to offer. :)
I think I first started to really enjoy B&W during the Twilight Zone marathons. I agree that it adds to the atmosphere of some of the creepy movies and shows.
Awesome Collections Mr. Todd🎉
Thanks man
As ever a great collection, so many beautiful editions 👌⭐️
Thank you brother. Nice to hear from you.
LOL @the Pigs joke. I did notice the sound was a bit low and I have the volume double as normal, but it's still perfectly clear. Getting a lot of recommendations here. Some of the stuff that I don't add to my collection I watch on tubi or just put to a watchlist. Psycho Cop is not nearly as good as Psycho Cop 2, IMO. Nobody does more attractive boxsets. I also love the VSA editions and those super limited ones with the hardboxes. I have the Six String Samurai one and the package is just so beautiful. Film is okay, yeah. Some day I am going to break the bank and become an annual subscriber. I really like Cutting Class but wasn't a big fan of any of the slips. That film deserved at least one sleazy cover given the attractive ladies in it.
😃 I forgot to add Rosie. Glad you liked the joke. I always run the risk of losing a few subscribers with jokes like that but it doesn’t bother me at all.
@@ToddEWalnuts yeah anyone offended by that joke needs to go away IMO.
Nice Intro, today i dought my first Vinegar title "Shallow Grave". We don't have here any media distribition and we are dependet on the secondary market and our on line sale, I am happy everytime whan a I found something what I saw in your Collection. Watched also this Video twice, Wow ❤
Hey Goran, always nice to hear from you. I wish it was easier for you to find these titles. Sometimes the hunt is half the fun, but I suppose it can be frustrating too.
Nice vinegar syndrome collection. I have quite a bit of the movies they have released but it looks like u have dug deeper than i have. Im impressed by ur collection you have alot of money in out of print titles! Best regards and thanks for the video.
I feel the same way about black and white classics
Nice!!! Excellent Vyn syn collection! Ive got a few of the rare ones Slaughterhouse w/slip, Jack Frost w/slip, Undertaker w/slip etc.. but my syndrome collection isn't nearly as big as yours Todd. Thanks man!!!
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Sounds like you have an excellent collection too.
@@ToddEWalnuts Yeah its really good. I've got a couple thousand & alot of rare items but I think u and Chillybilly have more than I do. I started collecting the Arrow window slipcover editions several years ago after I seen them on ur channel. Now I have I think 21 or 22 of them..
@@GoreAphobeI just subbed to you. I’ll try to check out some videos tonight.
@@ToddEWalnuts Cool! Thank u!!! I hope u do..Can I suggest checking out my film discussions? Theres some really good ones like Last house on the left 72 with King gore,
Halloween 78 with JTshorrordiscussions, Night of the living dead 68 with Nightwatch Zone, Exorcist 3 with Juno2000. Im prerecording a new one on A Clockwork Orange with Subjective Perspective Collective this tuesday & I should have it edited & out by next weekend.
Im not real fancy, I tell it as I see it. TH-cam wont monitize any of my vids 🤣 because I use bad language & say every word that they dont like. But I dont care, this about my love & passion for the films, the filmmakers, the performances etc.. Not for a pay day.
I basically act as if the camera isnt there..& im just me! Thanks so much for subbing Todd ive been a fan for many years!!! Btw..Theres also alot of collection vids too if u'd prefer.
I used to alphabetize my collection until like 2,500 movies after that I gave up because as movies kept coming in I have just kept putting them away in the order I bought them. And that's the DVDs, the Blu-rays and 4Ks have no organization whatsoever. The VHS...well I've the Venezuelan ones apart and alphabetized but the American ones I divide them between the ones I got when in P.R. and the ones I got here in NY. I admire your patience to organize everything alphabetically.🤗
Beware Children At Play, Blood Hook, Blades and Blood Suckers From Outer Space are Troma titles. Cementerio Del Terror is Mexican so it's gotta be in Spanish. I'm watching your video with pen and paper in hand since you seem to have all the Vinegar Syndrome movies! I have bought as many Vinegar Syndrome movies as I can but obviously I'm falling behind. I didn't know VS had that many releases. Congratulations on your outstandingly awesome VS collection and thanks for sharing it with us. Good showing and cool video Todd!👉🙂👈
Terrific collection!
Thank you Brian
Enjoy The video as always recently got into vinegar syndrome got the Roadhouse which is one of my favorites how does that Beastmaster look quality-wise Watched it when I was a kid all the time
Beastmaster looks incredible. This is about as nice a release that this movie will ever get. Recommended.
Hi Todd,
Loved your VS collection.
Even the Cherry Coke, which by the way, is great. My favourite is Mountain Dew ❤️. Really great presentation 💯
Thank you David
VS puts out some of the best releases. Todd, have you heard much about the label Error 4444? Thats a new label I've been collecting lately
I will definitely look into this new label. Thank you for the heads up.
Another good video Todd rn I am on the hunt for the Robert England phantom of the opera on vhs but no luck so far also just finished watching class of 1999 and slaughter high
Thanks man. I hope you find it. The hunt is half the fun.
I watch all your videos from beginning to the end like to hear you talk about the movies some I no alot I don't
Thanks man. I always appreciate the views and comments. It’s nice to hear from you.
Your sound is perfect for me
Thanks bro
Great collection, sir! I have quite a few but not as many as you do.
Also there is a second volume of Televised Terror. It was released directly by Fun City Editions. Unfortunately it's not a boxset, still 3 movies but it does have a slip.
Thanks for that info
@@ToddEWalnuts No problem, sir
I like the cover for Blood Theatre.
Amazing collection and video, Todd! This got me thinking about some of Vinegar Syndrome's partner labels. Do you have the 4K release of Effects that AGFA released? That seems like a perfect fit for your collection. Thanks again for all that you do.
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll check it out
Awesome sound great fun 🤩
Awesome collection pal
Thank you kindly
What do you think about 'The Demolisher'. I have it on disc and about to watch it.
I notice you collect multiple slip covers of the same movies. Do you collect The vinegar syndrome media club slipcovers They released like thirty five or so with the gold foil
This video has every VS title I own in it.

i have number 2597 for that Ted bundy release
The best!!!!!!!

Why not by spine number?
Because that makes no sense to me. Why make it harder on yourself to find the movie you’re looking for. Maybe you have a small collection and it works better for you that way, but with hundreds of movies it just isn’t very smart to put them in order by spine number.
@@ToddEWalnuts, I agree with you. Spine numbers are not helpful at all for locating movies on shelves if one has a sizeable collection. I don't even put all of the movie releases from one company together, although they do look great as you have done provided one can remember which studio released which title one is looking for.
Generally, I organize by genre first and then I alphabetize each movie within the genre, although I do group certain movies together like all anime movies together, all Disney movies, all Christmas movies, all Amicus Productions movies, all Hammer Productions movies, all zombie movies, etc. I try not to overdo it in order to keep it as straightforward as possible, but everyone has their own system which makes sense to them. :)
I am more sick, I am ordering my movies not by numbers or directors but by realise date, year month day
About your videos only being watched for 15 minutes out of one hour. That's not how it works.
That number means that someone watches 10 minutes then pauses and comes back to watch later. And someone watches 30 minutes and pauses and so on.
For example, I watch 20-25 minutes at a time while I'm cooking.
Watch time is the average amount of time the video is viewed. If guy 1 watches for 20 mins, and guy 2 watches for 4 mins, the average view is 12 mins. Hope that helps.
@@ToddEWalnuts That's exactly right. But that doesn't mean that viewer 1 and viewer 2 don't go back to watch the video again, and settle for only 20 or 4 minutes of it.
Anyway thank you for your collection overviews.
That did look a little like dee Snyder but he was never that pretty
😂
