After seeing what happens to film on vinegar syndrome I swear I'll never do vinegar again. Much like all the other educational videos, I enjoyed this one as well. Fascinating stuff!
You guys are doing fantastic work. Film preservation of even the shittiest movies out there should be preserved. The more we turn digital, the more robotic(!) we become and the faster history and our pasts get erased.
Film and music are my drugs of choice. As a native New Yorker growing up in the 80’s hanging at CBGBs I remember seeing Spacely on St.Marks selling loose marijuana cigarettes. Story Of A Junkie is one of my favorite films! A cool and scary look at the gritty old punk rock New York. I can’t wait to see the Vinegar Syndrome edition!
‼Stop! to Re-Print slips, you are DESTROYING COLLECTABILITY!!! Respect collectors that helped you in the past to raise your label to become what you are now! WHEN SOMETHING IS SOLD OUT SHOULD NOT REPRINTED AGAIN!!! ‼A slap in the face to all collectors who brought in the past thinking that your movies were truly LIMITED editions but now are not! You're-Print More! 😡 Pure Greed !!! Shame on you!!! 🤑
Ha this is a troll comment if I ever saw one. That or you're absolutely huffing your own farts. In the world of collecting, there has always been an easy acknowledgement and price differential for original run and reprints. It's been happening for years with comics. Also, this is all about watching film anyways.
Wrong! about the price, if you check the prices, you will find that after re-prints the price of original slips hits down. Even some people don't care anymore about originals and wait for the reprints. I'm a comic collector by the way! I know how the collectables world works. Also, this is not just about watching films, of course the main thing is watch the films and I say thank you Vinegar Syndrome to give us this films but Vinegar needs to respect when something is limited, if not they should stop to claims that something is limited, Vinegar break the rules about what they promise, Vinegar lie to their customers (collectors, thank to those collectors they are a big label now!).
I hope they reprint every slipcover a million times. We are collecting films, but the beautiful package art is just a bonus. This does not diminish the art and film preservation that they are providing us
@@CemeteryMan101Sure, they can reprint every slip a million times IF THEY DO NOT SAY THAT ARE LIMITED, THEY SHOULD REMOVE THE LIMITED word and numbers! Yes the #1 thing is movies but you at least understand my point about a limited item is? Disagree or not, you got my point? Is about breaking the rules about you as company lie to your customers.
It looks great cleaned up. Excellent stuff
I love these informational videos with Oscar. Please make more!
After seeing the remaster of D.O.A. (1981), it’s great to see Story of a Junkie getting a clean up.
fascinating info. keep up the edu-tainment!
Loved this explanation of A/B rolls in filmmaking.

Really dig these little videos you folks are making
Love these videos!
Vinegar Syndrome, please do all the Prom Night films as a boxset Blu-Ray or 4K, that would be incredible.
This guy is a film Junkie. I hope he gets the help he needs. 🙏
I guess working for Vinegar Syndrome is just one step up from using. :-p
If I now have the scanned A/B rolls, how do I edit them in the NLE system?
I have a question: do you have any Tabasco sauce to go with that fried film? Yummy 😋
gosh that Blackmagic has a shitty steadiness
