    I've been shaving my head for 15 years with NO razor bumps. My latest iteration is as follows:
    1. I shave my head with a BIC disposable razor and Aveeno shaving cream
    2. I shave my face with a pair of Andis T-Outliners and a decent pair of taper clippers
    3. I shave my head every 3 days (changing out my razor once a month), and I shave my face as needed
    4. I use Tend Skin as an aftershave, and after about 5-10 minutes, I use Nivea post shave balm (currently, I'm using the Cooling version). Palmers Cocoa Butter is a good alternative.
    5. Every 3 or so days, I use Tree Hut exfoliating facial scrub
    6. In the shower, I wash my head and face with Selsun Blue shampoo (Head and Shoulders is a good alternative)
    7. I use Clippercide spray and brush out excess hair from my clippers to keep them clean (as needed)
    8. Drink water

    I just shaved bald this past weekend, and I feel like I over did it this week by shaving in consecutive days. Watching this and understanding that I too have sensitive skin is making me thinking that I should only shave once or twice a week max. Also there is this target gel called the cool fix that is really helping me. Like I haven’t seen too many bumps but without this I feel like I would have bumped up

    What a good product for breakage with my beard

    • @RealMenGetItDone
      @RealMenGetItDone  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Try grabbing some scotch porter(see below). Breakage can come if your beard is dry, so you have to get the right products to keep it up just as you would your hair. Scotch porter has shampoo, conditioner, oil, and balm...also how you wash is very important. If you can, get in the habit of washing face and body separately. Beard cool/warm water not hot. Last thing I could suggest, is get a wooden pick vs metal if your using a metal one. Hope this helps and check out more of my vids..good content on beard care and got some new stuff in the works too....hope you subscribed and stay on this journey...have some giveaways coming up soon too....

    I've never had razor rash or bumps until this past December. I've been using the same routine and products for years---suddenly, bumps appeared. I use Bump Patrol, sensitive shaving cream, and my 4-blade razor for my head. I haven't used regular alcohol several years, since I was in university, even on my line because my barber said not to and gave me some product to use instead. I forget the name of it, but I used to buy it at Sally's in a gallon jug and it smelled good. Anyway, anybody know what caused the sudden rash-prone skin on my head? After an aggressive program to treat it, it went away in January, but came back last week (end of May). I've been using Bump Patrol and Maximum Strength Bump Patrol...

    • @RealMenGetItDone
      @RealMenGetItDone  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      First, sorry to hear bro..it always sucks when our head routine doesn't act right...I feel your pain. If it were me, I would first give shaving a break...yeah I know it will be rough, but sometimes our head needs that..next I would change shaver and you have 2 options....dry shave with clippers such as Andis T-liner or Gillette Skingaurd(2blade)...what I've come to learn is the 4blade can be too sharp on areas of the head (its like your shaving that area 4 times at once) so with a skingaurd or dry shave it isn't cutting as close, so it helps to avoid irritation..it won't be as clean/smooth as your use too, but to everyone else they won't be able to tell a difference...hope that helps and of course continue to use bump patrol...💪👍

    Can you explain the alcohol? I am about to start shaving my head and my skin is sensitive as hell. My face is always razor bumped up for days after a shave. I’m caucasian as hell, if that matters, but in boot camp my bumps were worse than any of the brothers.

      hey, no worries Steve...my information is for ALL,lol! 1. Wash Your Hair, shave it down with clippers if you have them. 2. Use the Gillete Skinguard Sensitive Razor. 3. Buy Bumppatrol and apply it to your scalp afterwards to prevent bumps. I got a lot of vids so be sure to subscribe and check out the rest of my content to see some in-depth help. Additionally, releasing an updated video for 2021 THIS WEEK..so you'll be just in time! Thanks

      Oh and the alcohol which is bay rum serves as a cleaning and disinfectant of the head after it's shaved...the idea of ANY aftershave is to clean the area so you don't get bumps and infections....some work better than others so I like to use that in addition to an aftershave. However, like I said I'm evolving some and my updated tips will be out this week! Thanks

      @@RealMenGetItDone thanks! I will try that on my face too. Between bumps and ingrown hairs I could do without shaving all together but I have blond hair and a black beard and that is not a good look. When the head gets shaved the beard will flow

    Stop using those multi blade razors. Get yourself a single blade like Bevel and you'll never have to worry about razor bumps ever again!

      Really? Is that the key? I've only used multiple blades and have never had an issue until the end of last year. I'm gonna have to try that out. Thanks, fam.

      @@amapparatistkwabena Yes, I use a cheap, single, disposable blade, and I shave WITH the grain... no razor bumps
