CELEBRATING THAI NEW YEAR IN STYLE IN BANGKOK
Thai New Year or Songkran is the Thai New Year's national holiday. Songkran is on 13 April every year, but the holiday period extends from 14 to 15 April.
WE TRAVELLED TO THAILAND AGAIN FOR THIS AND ITS THE MOST FUN WE HAVE EVER HAD!
WATER FIGHTS DOWN KHAO SAN ROAD (SO BUSY) AND SUKHUMVIT
THEN WE WENT TO S2O FESTIVAL IN THE EVENING AND GOT EVEN MORE WET
HAPPY NEW YEAR THAILAND !!
Highly recommend coming for Songkran
And there were a few people that didn’t want to get wet, yet walk down the busiest streets on the worlds biggest waterfight dates.. videos coming and there is also a guy in this video that chases me with a traffic cone!!

I think this should be elevated to be a worldwide tradition like New Year's universal celebration !! I love Christmas but it still got too much of the religious undertone, somewhat so I don't think it would never be widely accepted. But SongKran is different.
To forget about all our petty differences, everyone in every nations can throw water into a bucket, turn on a garden faucet, tank up a water gun, stand in front of their houses AND JUST HAVE FUN with people all around you.
It hardly costs anything. No presents to buy. No places to travel to. No candies to give away. No food to cook. No Gods to pray to. No flags to solute. Just Peace & Good will toward your fellow man (with a twist of getting wet). Now why is that so appealing !!

S2O was crazy! Had so much of fun! I was literally standing somewhere around the middle of the stage too on day 1! Definitely one of the bucket list festival to be ticked off!

Happy Songkran Festival is the day of the Thai New Year, which is the day of the water festival where Thai people play water all over the country. and may be regarded as a water war who shot each other, no one died On the contrary, there was only happy laughter. Tourists can continue the Songkran water festival in Pattaya on April 18-20 and at Phra Pradaeng. Samut Prakan Province, April 21-23 as well I hope everyone is happy and enjoying it here. Agreed, shooting in the face is a big turn off coz the high pressure water guns can hurt your eyes. Next time then, come back again next year and try other places like Chiang Mai or Phuket :) :)
