      ISAIAH 2 - EXODUS
      “Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.” (Isaiah 2:8)
      Words By: Father
      "Exodus means a mass departure. But a departure of what? For the Israelites it was a departure from Egypt to the promised land. But is it really a departure if the soul carries the Egypt heart? You can remove the people out of Egypt but it’s different moving Egypt out of the heart of man which is why the Israelites encountered the many troubles. The golden calf was just a fruit of their idolatry and an expression of their idol worship. The Church still carries this same attitude. It is the heart of idolatry by serving two masters - Me and the gods that please themselves. Cares of the world, deceitfulness of riches and lust of other things has become the modern day golden image and indeed many have given their hearts over to these idols and end up doing what Aaron did. Now it wasn’t that Aaron didn’t love Me, however complacency was in his heart and he ended up doing what all complacent people do - denying Me for the temporary.
      I have called you out of the world and into My kingdom; but not to bring the world into My kingdom. I am not saying that you cannot desire things. But if the desire owns your heart and you cannot seem to live without it because you feel compelled to have it, then you must consider what it is that you are worshipping. These are desires you must let go of if you want to reach the promise land. You should never look back and think, “The world is also full of silver and gold and there is no end to their treasures.” If I have shown you the path, given you the miracles and offered you a kingdom, then what in Egypt could you possibly want? Cast your cares at My feet, remain faithful to My voice and I will be faithful to meet your every need."

    I'm non-religious, but I want to understand the stories in the bible so I can understand culture and literature better. This is a great resource because everything is presented straight forward. I don't feel like the religion is being shoved down my throat (unlike my prior relationship with Christianity)-- but rather that this is created as something I can watch for my own intent. Thank you so much for making these videos!

    With all my surgeries, anesthesia messed with my brain and it's so hard to make things stick sometimes! I'm definitely more of a visual person- so seeing and hearing each story from the Bible before I pick it apart piece by piece helps more than you can know! So many people don't understand the Bible and just assume God is this evil judging guy that wants to happily send the world to Hell, and it's so sad. Thank you for taking the time to make all these videos- I am hoping to spread them on all my social medias with hope that people will watch them and be interested in clicking all of them- stirring their curiosity of God- and reading the Bible themselves and gaining that EXTREMELY important relationship with the one true God through his son, Jesus! God bless you all! Thank each and every one of you who put this together!

      God loves justice. The firstborns of Egypt were killed because in the hierarchy of the society at the time, the firstborn would be the next pharaoh. God killed the firstborns to put the evil pharaoh of the time, who mind you was VERY evil- he was abusing the slaves, in his place. Moses said His words were from God and the pharaoh was basically like “nah... ima just work ‘em harder”. Nowadays society thinks it’s ok for people to kill babies because it’s inconvenient for the mother however when its a situation like this, when God knew what He was doing for the Israelites who were enslaved, when God is love but also is JUST, when God is the ruler and does something that is loving, harsh but just and makes total sense... everyone freaks out! God gave those babies their lives... He can easily take their lives away because He DID in fact create them. However He did not kill the babies just to kill babies; He killed them with justice because we serve a God of justice. God had mercy on Egypt: He sent plague after plague upon them to warn them, and then sent Moses to warn them. But they didn’t listen! Again, as I have said: God is loving but He is also JUST. We can’t just have a God of love love love and mercy mercy mercy and not of judgement. Who wants a judge in court of only “love & mercy” ? This society has lost its mind. Justice needs to be served.

    • @tokkiiiiiiiiiiiiii
      @tokkiiiiiiiiiiiiii 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sophie M people out there be thinking that they are more just and merciful than God plsssssss lol
      Let’s see their sense of justice when someone they love gets killed. I would like to see if they would be able to forgive the killer just because he regretted. I DOUBT IT. However, God does forgive only if we sincerely regret, it doesn’t matter whatever we’ve done just because He loves us. Who’s more just here ? I also doubt they would die for people who curse them.

    I was so shocked when I checked the date tag for this video and it was made 8 years ago. The visuals are so stunning and captivating it feels like something even recently made. I just went through those chapters and you brought out a whole new level of intensity I had not adequately registered. I
    also love that you tackled one of my biggest questions in all of this: why was pharaoh's heart hardened?

    • @gabrielmagalhaes9150
      @gabrielmagalhaes9150 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      His heart was hardened not literally hardened but it’s symbolic in that God strengthened Pharaoh’s heart in his convictions. So every time God says he hardened Pharaohs heart, he made his mind, body, and soul one with his convictions which in Pharaohs case showed how truly evil and wicked his heart was. Yeah hardened = strengthened. Very symbolic.

    I freaking love you guys. Why am I just finding out about you guys? I started with your 2 videos on Genesis and now this story has already been so visual that your depiction of Pharoah is AMAZING. I’m an ExJW and I was pretty much banned from reading the entire Bible. (Not literally) but since we had an organization that controlled and manipulated the Bible I never had intentions to read it, cuz what’s the point right? I have people that do it for me. Since things have changed and prophecies have been manipulated I decided to go on my own journey of reading it for myself and so far I’ve cried and been sad because all of my life i have had certain mindsets of the Bible’s true stories and nature. But when reading it I drift a lot and forget what I read. I’m not capable of doing it alone. I need visuals. For months I’ve been struggling now coming across your videos I’m genuinely excited to understand the Bible now without feeling lost. Thank you so much I really do hope you have videos lineup all the to the end of Revelatation.

    I was listening to the podcast on the Bible project app, and in Israel Tests God, Episode 5, Tim and Jon infer about how the Israelites were tested by seeing the manna and not being allowed to collect it on the 7th day. However, 16:25-27 it says they went out and couldn't find any. So they never saw it. My takeaway is that day 7 probably looked similar to day 6 - not obviously different - which means even when there was manna, it was still a bit of work to gather it. That's my lived experience.
    Sorry I couldn't find a better place to share this feedback. Thank you for the podcasts which help me do Bible study with my kids. They explain that it understandable that the Bible seems boring to read and hard to understand,... and makes it accessible for us. The Lord made Pharaoh stubborn because he wants to perform miracles. Exodus 11:9
    He made pharoah so stubborn so that His Reasons and purpose will be fulfilled. Exodus 14:4

      Pharaoh's heart was hardened because he would not repent, the plagues were a call to repentance as is anything which is contra natural en masse happening in our world. We see things like this very clearly in our own day yet do not recognize it as a culture repentance. Few have recognized such things historically (ie Sodom and Gomorrah) and I do pray for our poor souls in the current day that more may come to recognize God's call to repentance in our own time.

    Jesus is the Passover Lamb! By His blood, the wrath of God will "Passover " to those who believe in Him, and receive mercy.
    Interesting to note that the lamb could not have it's bones broken which was a prophecy of Jesus none of Jesus' bones were broken on the cross.

      God performs a bloody sacrifice on himself
      to forgive his creations
      for behaving exactly as he intended
      through his Divine Plan.

    I really appreciate these videos. They're simple to understand yet tackle very complex and at times very confusing themes of the Bible. However as I had prayed the other week for such simple explanations to the books of the Bible to grasp the concepts and themes in the Bible so I can have a better approach to it, I came across these videos that very week. So, praise The Lord for all things. I will try to support your work in the future.

    Once again, beautiful work you guys (and gals)! Thank you so much for taking the time to give us highlights for these books. We're all grateful for you. A perfect cross reference for what you mentioned at 4:02 (God hardening Pharaoh's heart) is Romans 9:14-18. For a long time I was confused as to why God would harden Pharaoh's heart and then send the plagues. But Romans 9 has helped me understand it better. May God give you more revelation and understanding by his word!

    Crash course on the Bible.. Great job guys! oh.. side note.. you know the plagues.. if you think about (purely opinion and not based on any scholarly references) the plagues sort of looks like God poking fun at the Egyptian gods....... i'm probably wrong tho.. :P

    • @stevewyatt88
      @stevewyatt88 7 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Very apt description. I've taught my Sunday School classes that God, who just gave his name "I AM THAT I AM", is proving that HE IS and the Egyptian gods are not. He sets them up as so many bowling pins then knocks them down one by one, until finally He shows He is the giver (and taker) of life itself. God of the river, not so, I AM. God of the sun? Not so, I AM. You have a god who controls the insects, the animals the weather, etc.? That god is not. I AM! He gives Pharaoh and Egypt many chances to acknowledge He is God, yet they reject that truth.

      You could say that however, God does not poke, HE let's you see that to the froward, HE will show Himself froward
      HE is longsuffering yes but, HE won't let a wicked person who refuses to refrain from wickedness, go free.
