    ➡️ White Bread
White bread has become a staple of the diets of hundreds of thousands of people. Unfortunately, white bread isn't good because, when it's broken down into its refined condition, it turns it into a simple carbohydrate. This basically means that it has had most of its nutrients stripped away. Simple carbohydrates not only have significantly less nutritional value, they can lead to an increased inflammatory response as well.
    ➡️ Processed Meat
The purpose of processing meat is to prolong the shelf life and/or to improve the taste. But to do so, companies load the meats up with sodium compounds called nitrites.Nitrites are reportedly not supposed to be harmful to our bodies, however, some studies suggest that they ultimately could lead to certain types of cancer.
    ➡️ Burgers
Some studies found that eating burgers can increase the occurrence of wheezing in people with asthma if they eat more than one per week. There are a couple of reasons that burgers can affect breathing. First, processed meat, which we just touched on.
    ➡️ Whole Milk
Whole milk and other dairy products, in general, have been shown to have a negative impact on the respiratory system. Through the process of breaking down the components found in dairy products, it results in an increased production of mucus.
    ➡️ Broccoli
Broccoli in and of itself is not an unhealthy food. In fact, it's loaded with nutritional ingredients. The only downside is, as it's broken down during digestion, it gives you gas.
    ➡️ Salt
Salt (sodium) is found in almost every food that we eat. It's important to know that sodium isn't always bad. In fact, it's necessary for our bodies to function properly. With that said, too much salt intake causes dehydration and leads to inflammation in the body. As we touched on earlier, this leads to increased stress on the respiratory system.
    ➡️ Soda
Drinking soda over time can lead to tooth decay which causes increased bacteria in the mouth to form. This can lead to increased acidity in the body which can inadvertently affect the ventilatory response of the lungs. Carbonation can lead to heartburn which leaves a painful sensation in your chest and can affect your breathing. And caffeine can cause an increased heart rate and blood pressure which makes the heart and lungs work harder than normal.
    ➡️ Fried Foods
Let's face it, fried foods are delicious. That explains why they are so heavily consumed by most people. Unfortunately, there are several reasons why fried foods are bad for the cardiopulmonary system and I'll touch on a few of them. For starters, the oil that food is fried in is usually extremely high in saturated fats which can put a strain on both the lungs and cardiovascular system. Also, most fried foods are breaded with simple carbohydrates, which leads to inflammation as previously mentioned.
    ➡️ Coffee
If you're like me, and I hate to admit it, you're probably very reliant on drinking coffee. The first thing I do after rolling out of bed is fix a nice, warm cup of dark roast coffee.

Garlic is BRILLIANT! I have Diabetes. This make my blood sugar levels irregular and erratic. Having Garlic and Garlic based products suce as past, and Garlic and herb sources, has dramatically reduced my blood sugar levels from 12 to 14 and as much as 16 to18 before meals. Now, my sugar levels are 7 to 8 before meals and as low as 9 or 10 after meals. I'd rather have Garlic breath and be healthier, than sweet breath.

My father was a smoker for forty years. He started when he was a teenager in high school in the early 1950s, and continued to smoke about a pack a day until he quit in 1995. For years he thought "You know? 1 smoked for forty years, and I got away with it No. No he didn't. In 2014, nineteen years after he had quit smoking, he started noticing that he was having trouble with wheezing and feeling like he was out of breath a lot. He was diagnosed with early stage COPD. For the first year, he was able to get by with simply using rescue inhalers once in a while, but by late 2015 he needed supplemental oxygen. At first, he could get by on the lowest tank setting of 1 liter per minute, but as time went on he needed an Oxygen concentrator at home and he needed more and more oxygen. Last year (2020) he was up to the oxygen concentratowr's highest setting of 5 liters per minute, even while just sitting down. By this time I had moved in with him to take care of him. Sometimes he would be gasping for air, and he would ask me "Son, is the machine on? I just can't get enough air".....his condition worsened, our hearts melted every moment as we watched him gasp for breath,we were sure he would die any moment, by the time I started reading TH-cam comments,I stumbled upon a comment that said there is an old Chinese man that cures this ailment ,I quickly contacted him and ordered the herbs with my father's money because he wouldn't need it anymore cos he would die any moment,I received the herbs in two days and from that moment he used the herbs, he began to feel better and better, few weeks later, he was completely cured, I thank you for reading this story about my father's experience with COPD. If you know someone who is a smoker, and you love them, please encourage them to quit. We love Daddy. all thanks to Dr Shen weng.if you have this ailment, or other diseases, email me on

I'm 56yrs old, I was an asthma patient since I was 2yrs old. About 20yrs ago I switched over to mostly whole foods diet and almost immediately stopped needing any prescription medications. I cheat with junk food now and again, but my diet is mostly whole foods plant based, and so I rarely have to use a Primatene Mist inhaler, which is my only medication. I have in the past succeeded in months-long perfect whole foods plant based diet, with fish (pescetarian) and during that time I was asthma-free, but damn, pizza, burgers, hot dogs... gotta just sometimes.

@@tomwilham4692 I'm am so sorry to hear this, I know exactly what you're going thru when I first learned it, I almost didn't believe because I felt fine even with walking and my oxygen levels falling under 87... I didn't know the meaning of those numbers back then, had no idea what I would be facing, later being put on oxygen was a trip because I still felt fine and didn't think I needed it... Fast forward 6 years and I've gone up in my oxygen one #, which I think is good... The one BIG advise I can give is stay moving, try and exercise 3-5 times a week and please if your around smokers walk away till they are put out, I shouldn't have ever smoked being I come from a long line of family with COPD on Mom's side, I remember my Grandma turning off her oxygen to smoke her non-filter Pall Mall, my Mom died of it her mid 50's, my sister also passed in her early 50's and now my brother has it and of course me... When we were growing up it was cool to smoke... I can't change the past but I can do what I can now to try and breathe better... It's so scary when you first start not being able to catch your air, especially when you are sick of a cold or a respiratory virus... Everything can effect your day, even the barometer pressure of the weather... Back to smoking I tried for year's all manner of tricks to stop, nothing worked, I felt weak minded and embarrassed, finally I was down to around 5 a day, miracle for me from 20-25 day, and I tried Chantex, it gave me awful nightmares', a few months later I asked the doctor to try it again, this time my insurance gave me generic version... Oh my gosh, it was so crazy how it worked, I literally didn't think about smoking... and shortly after I was able to put them down for good!! I hope my long-long answer helps you or someone... Good luck, be good to yourself and always keep a positive attitude! Blessings your way!

Dairy- way to much dairy. I'm learning Dairy & Asthma are linked. I have asthma so I'm quitting Dairy & moving on to almond milk, thanks for the info.

Might as well give up eating. If I had to listen to all the diet experts on TH-cam I would starve to death. Everything in moderation.

That's like saying smoking crack or crystal meth in moderation is OK.
Some things are best avoided totally. Especially if you have chronic ailments.

@@AFAskygoddess ... everything natural is all dosage and form our genetics are tuned to specific doses and forms of natural foods which we have forgotten in western civilization. both crack and meth are synthetic/over processed substances. Apples to Apples and oranges to oranges. Everything natural in moderation may be the compromise.

There are always new studies coming out saying coffee is good - then coffee is bad - then it is beneficial - then it is cancer causing! Smh 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have already cut down on dairy products. Recently I bought lactaid free whole milk. Usually, I use 2%. Nut "milks" are out of the question due to allergies. Thank you for your very helpful videos.

    Broccoli, whole milk, and salt.
I eat entirely too much of these three things. However, I didn't know about broccoli and whole milk was bad for asthma. I knew that salt was bad all along. I'm just addicted to it🤭. I've been working😅 on myself for very long time, well, now I guess I have to add broccoli and milk to the list of things to cut back. I thought I only had one problem, now, I have three.😅 LOL thank you so much for the info!👏👏👏 thank you thank you thank you!
