I have to say that this is not true. As I said in another comment, the rhythm of the explosion is totally different and the rumble has never been that low on Yamato or Musashi. Prove me wrong with some video's because I can of course be wrong :) Glad you enjoyed the video! :)

Shikishima guns are definitely a different sound. It has a bigger “oomph” to it. The thunder before the explosion is what does it. get your ears checked ;)
@@MonkTheWorldTree hmm still it is not the same sound to me. Yes they have a nice rumble but if you turn your audio settings to max then almost all bb's have a rumble to their guns. I upload all my yt vids in the same audio setting so you schould be able to listen it on one of those. :)

Yes, it is the reload that makes this ship strong. Dispersion can be super wonky but you compensate that by simply throwing out your 510mm shells so quickly after eachother. Yamato is more consistant, Shikishima however is so much more fun simply because of the 19.4k alpha /shell and the awesome gun sound that litteraly every ship on the map can hear. :D
The tX has 18 inch or 457mm guns and the t8 and 9 indeed 16 inch. The tX will have the highest alpha strike in the entire game with 12x 15,750 damage. :D

I have to say after watching video's of the Iowas firing their guns in the 80's and early 90's (yes I know the sound quality isn't the best) I'm actually kinda disappointed with a lot of the gun sounds in WoWs. They don't need to be as deafening but a lot of these sounds are "soft" like I'm hearing them from miles away after the pressure wave has had time to dissipate. In the video's I have seen, regardless of sound quality, a battleship main gun firing is much sharper and sudden noise.

@@crimzonpegasus9714 I can understand thuds in an FPS though. In games like Halo, CoD, or Battlefield there's at least a chance that you've got some ear-pro on. That being said in the new Modern Warfare, even with the shots being a bit muffled, still presents gun shots are a sharp noise.
This personally, reminds me of the sound of a FV4005 from World of Tanks console. If ya haven’t heard it listen to the sound it makes. Sounds somewhat the same
FV4005 uses a 180 mm gun right? In World of tank game it's a deathstar calibre but in ships game it's a small one. 180 mm guns in WOWs game sounds puny by comparison.
I bought it because on paper it is actually a better ship than Yamato and I have enough steel anyway. Currently I have 37k steel with Stalingrad, Bourgogne and Shikishima. I have no interest in that fdr

@@bns_victoryleeuw9233 yesterday I had a game in my amagi on the enemy team was a shiki I was angled away from her driving away full speed and he gave me volleys for 25+k completely obliterating my ship she might have less guns than other t10 bbs but the reload and pen of these guns are crazy
@@TheDutie True but Amagi has 32mm plating everywhere so you're really squishy against these shells because of the overmatch mechanic ;) It's better to just dodge than to tank those shells ;)

Ah good question! You can actually go for both Thunderer and Shikishima because one is coal and the other steel. You schould never convert your steel into coal since the conversion is not worth it at all. Bourgogne or Shikishima is more tricky. First of all, get Stalingrad first, that ship is imo still the strongest and can have the most impact on the game. It's also played really often in competitve so for that reason alone I would go with that ship first. After that it really depens on your playstyle. I think both Shikishima and Bourgogne are equals in terms of strength but played totally different. Shikishima is more of a rather stationary sniper while with Bourgogne you really need to move all the time to get good volleys since it can't even overmatch the likes of des moines etc. For that you need to get broadsides and thus move the whole time. Therefor Bourgogne is much more difficult to play correctly but once you mastered the ship, it's a monster! Shikishima is a sit back, enjoy the sounds and purge the enemy's from the server with your 20k a cit. :D I hope this answered your question! :)

That's just kinda been the trend with most AAA shooters over the last 7 years or so. The sound of weapons went from sharp cracks to dull thuds

They removed the reverberation from the guns too, used to be able to hear a shiki fire from across the map, not anymore :(
It's still there but they made it a lot more silent indeed. Pretty sad :(
