    This is a cool one! Still waiting for your rhino layouts and diagramming video sir.

    Isn’t it possible to just use the Transform output instead of constructing the vector out of centroid points?

      probably, I can't remember why I did it that way - it might have been due to some slight performance increase or for labeling

    Hey so I noticed that this file has some issues placing the labels on parts with irregular shapes. I wonder if it would be possible to limit label placement to inside the perimeter shape or something?

    Hi Niko, what if I would want to layout the side edges of each building for laser cutting? I tried out the script in your 2 videos and it seems like opennest only works on geometry placed on the XY plane,whereas the sides edges of the building would be on YZ or XZ plane. is there any solution you could think of for this? Thanks!

      Hey Colin. Assuming you mean the vertical faces of a geometry, you would just need to isolate the desired faces, "orient" them to the XY plane, and then follow the script. You could also unroll geometry if you want to fold a shape together. If there's enough desire from others I can make a brief video about this.

      @@NikoDellic I definitely have the desire, I'm in my second year of architecture school and I've been using Rhino to make the digital model then unrolling the surface of each polysurface, then once the surfaces are unrolled I go through and manually delete the faces I don't need due to material thickness, definitely a horrible workflow so it would be extremely beneficial especially from someone like you man you're really knowledgeable and deliver the information in an easy to understand way.

    Goood job man, love your videos but i wouldn't use scripts and kinda complex data magic for basic cnc file if i was teaching it to someone

      @NikoDellic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its only complex if you don't know it yet - platostotle, 400BCE

    Just use the Contour component and dont bother with intersecting and fixing data trees

    • @NikoDellic
      @NikoDellic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cant remember exactly why but I recall the contour component was doing somthin WACKY with the data structure ... but ill take your word for it 😘
