Massive Japanese 3rd gen pokemon game haul (Best internet find of my life)

In this video I showcase three auctions I purchased for around $210 total on various Japanese auction sites. One auction was a complete in box Japanese Emerald, One auction was a set of two Sapphires, two Fire Reds, a Leaf Green, and two Emeralds, and the last auction was a set of five Sapphires, five Rubies, two Fire Reds, two Leaf Greens, and two Emeralds.
In the auction with the set of 7 games, I did NOT expect that three boxes would be included, and that two of the boxes (Fire Red and Leaf Green) would be complete in box.
After looking through all 24 of these files, I found nothing noteworthy, save for two Emerald files that had used the duping glitch extensively, along with some other cheats to get stuff like level 5 legendaries. One of these Emerald files had several shinies on it, including a shiny Togepi, but they were certainly hacked. One of the Leaf Greens had what appeared to be a legitimate shiny Exeggutor, and a Fire Red had a seemingly legit shiny Geodude.
I mention that I planned to flip these games, though I have since decided against this, due to the fact that I can now hunt any starter in any games without having to think about resetting my main files. So I now have 57 total authentic 3rd gen game cartridges. I currently have:
11 Ruby Versions
13 Sapphire Versions
10 Fire Red Versions
10 Leaf Green Versions
13 Emerald Versions
Hamster game was cool too.
Dude this is inSANE!!! Huge congrats, that’s so incredible. The emeralds alone are a great value for what you paid. In an era where these games are starting to get really pricey, it’s nice to see someone grab some for cheaper.

man, it's wild to see how much prices have changed from this date to now. Purchased 5 Pokemon Japanese GBA games for 90 and that in itself at the moment is a little bit of a steal (due to them going for around 130+ as a set on eBay). Each of them single go for around 20-30 bucks now and 50 for Japanese emerald
5:15 I see these all the time with different arts on japanese carts that are missing the og labels, kinda cool looking
there is no better feeling than seeing 10+ third gen carts all lined up next to each other

Mrletsplayit I’m so happy how you mention in the video that you’ve never seen a bootleg 3rd gen Japanese Pokémon game in your life which is an amazing sign for people trying to jump right in and more easily get their hands on a legit Japanese copy of the game, though I have to ask is it the same way for the Japanese 4th gen games as well?, they also never made bootleg copies of the 4th gen Japanese games correct? Definitely a good curious question hopefully you’re able to respond back and keep up the great vids and dedication to this awesome collecting! 👍🙂
