Supply and demand man. 7 million emeralds out there, 3 million are Japanese leaving approximately 3.5 mill in English, others being European. Who knows how many are out there that got ruined or broken so the fact there’s maybe a couple million out there and everyone that played these games as kids have some spending money now, prices gouge up.

Love this challenge. Sadly I sold my CIB FULL pokemon collection in 2014 for 500 bucks (retail was 1000?) Boy was that a mistake... But now I get to relive through you guys.
Hey Chase! Congrats on the CiB Emerald! Emerald was my very first Pokemon game, so getting it complete again would be a highlight of my collection.
Just wanted to mention that Goodwill has a monthly 20% off coupon that you can sign up for. I’m not sure how it works in Michigan, but if it’s the same over there, you’ll be able to get some more profit.

how do you instantly walk out of the store and claim to get those numbers for what youre trying to sell, those are all asking prices, doesnt mean people get them. its great if you did but to walk out and instantly put the money into your, whatever you call it, is just insane.

@@adammonahan687 yea but they wouldn’t be locked up for that I doubt they robbed anyone you don’t get locked up for theft like that you’ll get realesed same day in most cases and just go to court
@@terryedwardz5970 it's all depends on the state, if they knew it was stolen, it they been charged with that same crime before, if your on probation, there's many factors that could keep you locked up
I’ve got the Pokémon Emerald grail myself. The big box copy exclusive to Walmart that came with a Rayquaza GB SP case. Typically worth around 1k-1.5k depending on condition. Pretty rare so most collectors don’t even know about it and I’m glad to have it in my Pokémon collection of card’s and games.

why on earth is Goodwill individually pricing games? every Goodwill i've been in down here has signs up in their media section stating Games - $1.99 or $2.99. I've never seen individually priced games in a thrift where the item was DONATED. That blew my mind.
They are like that in MANY places around the country. Same with pawn shops. You are blessed in your area brother
i have realy MANY of the games of pokemon.. some are sealed. BUT IM FROM GERMANY and emerald ist 250-300 bugs now here. lets wait 5-10 years and they will reach the peak of their existance - maybe 1000 XD! the idea of yours content is genius and really funny. crazy what u find!! PS: i once sold pokemon xd for gamecube and was happy for 30 bugs - SUCH IDIOTS OUT THERE.. XD - such a crap game. (now we see who was the idiot.. at 150 or s.th. now..) i dont like playing the games at all.. ^^ - but i respect those who do of course. probably some later titels are very good (i just played the first pokemon)

$500 for emerald in a creased and dented box is insane, tf are these american prices. Here in europe we get it in a mint-nm box for like €150-200

Love the show. But a 7/10 for the box? Come on, no grading service would grade it that high with a tear in the left corner and it all being banged up on the top. And that is only the front.
The scale is more for personal use, not what grading companies would give it. That being said, we ended up using a different box that I didn’t know I had… this is why we need everything displayed and documented 🤙

I have a mostly complete (not all CIB though) Pokemon game collection that I have spent years slowly collecting. I would buy one game to play and then pick up the other later on when it went down in price. Some of the prices now are insane, so I'm glad I did what I did. The only ones I'm missing are some of the Switch games because the price does not drop!
