My great grandma(on my mother’s side) was the oldest child of a cartel and was killed by one of her affair partners and that’s why my mom was sent into adoption, I’ll never tell her

My dad didn’t actually die when I was two. My parents got a divorce and after many missed visitation sessions, he left the country and had a kid with a girl about 40 years younger than him. He had about 7 other kids that my mom, despite what she said, was aware of, especially because one of his daughters and my cousin grew up together. One of the big problems was that my dad was my aunt’s boyfriend when they met. Also, he regularly kidnapped his kids (this is before there were laws about this). All of my half-siblings knew each other and I was the only one of his kids who didn’t know. He also probably tried to kill me and my mom for insurance money. With the exception of the last part, everyone over 40 knew this. I only found this out after my mom’s funeral and met my half-sister. Not as dark, but pretty crazy

Even as a fundie myself, I would find that level of hypocrisy annoying. When he started ranting I'd probably say something like,
"Beware the beam in thine own eye, dear uncle..." and then refuse to elaborate.

My great grandfather was a Captain in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. After one battle was over 5 black union soldiers that were taken prisoners were being treated at the Confederate field hospital. My great grandfather was angry that these 5 men were taking up beds while white soldiers waited outside. He went in the tent and killed all 5 of them. The story has been in a few books and can be found online. Definitely not a thing we tell people.

When I was 15 my mother told me I was an unwanted child. That explained (but did not excuse) their ill treatment of me. But I had to work out myself, years later, that she & my grandmother knew my father was molesting my sister & they never did a damn thing about it. I do not miss my father my mother or my grandmother.

Great grandfather got in a fight with someone and had his life threatened so fled Scotland to Mexico, changed his first and middle names, married but went back to being a loan shark. Years after divorcing my great grandmother he bought into some religious cult in Argentina and was robbed of the land he’d purchased there. Oddly enough, he became a better person for it, but never returned to Mexico as he’d promised. Mom last saw him at the age of 12. I’ve only ever seen him in the one photo of a photo that has now since been lost. Oh, and since Mexicans use their mother’s maiden name after their dad’s surname, you can imagine the bullying I received in school having a second Scottish last name.

My great-grandfather used to be in Cahoots with the Bootleggers / Mobsters during Prohobition, running several speakeasies in the town i currently live in. Supposedly there's a photo of John Dillenger holding my grandfather when he was an infant, sadly the photo was lost during Great-Grandpa's funeral in 1980. My dad claims his step-grandmother's family stole the photo alongside a lot of family items. Though the Main HQ of the speak easies was actually under his petstore.. in the basement is where they supposedly kept the hooch, as the old building had a freight elevator they used around 2-3 am to sneak in the bootlegged stuff alongside pet supplies. The Building's long gone, they demolished a lot of the old buildings in the 70s-90s due to fire hazards, lazy property managers, and corrupt local politicians.

My great-aunt divorced her abusive husband to marry a rum-runner who, according to my mother, cornered the Prohibition-era liquor market in a certain midsize Southern city. He even fended off an attempted takeover from Al Capone's organization. My mom once heard him bragging that there are quite a few bodies buried in the foundations of local buildings that went up during those years.

It was a neighbor of my estranged father who informed my mother about his recent stroke and how his current girlfriend had isolated him from everyone during his convalescence. It turned out the girlfriend was my mom's cousin, who had a long history of criminal offenses and sociopathic behavior. His cause of death, as stated on the certificate, is "adult failure to thrive", which has always struck me as sketchy. Based on what I've heard, I strongly suspect she killed him, somehow. I'm not too upset about it, and if you knew the guy, you'd understand why.
She ended up being executrix of his estate, not that it got her anywhere. His junky old house was triple-mortgaged and I understand she lost it after she couldn't keep up with the payments. And she herself died about three years later of cancer, so whatever she got out of my dad, she didn't get to enjoy it long.

My dad may have been involved in the death of my mom’s close friend. let me explain, so when I was going through the process of becoming a resident, my case was I came here because of domestic violence. Sidenote everything went well and I am now legally here. Anyways back to the story, there were several court appointments that my mom and I had where she had to tell certain stories about what my dad had done to the both of us. I was really little so I can barely remember what exactly she said. But there were many things that she did say that stick out to me now. Like for example, I vividly remember her explaining how my dad played a role in stalking a friend of hers who was eventually killed by the people my dad was helping. There are other bits and pieces to the story that I can remember her telling during court. Another thing, the judge asked my mom if I should step out because they weren’t sure if the details were going to be too much. my mom said that I would be fine and that I was aware of all of this, however I wasn’t this was like the very first time I was hearing any of these things. It was traumatizing to know all of this in court. I tried to bring up the story to my mom, but she refuses to answer any of my questions. she tells me all the time that if what I’m wanting is to make him look like a criminal, that that’s just not going to happen because it’s not true. here is where it gets worse I tell her what I can remember and how I am a bit confused on what actually happened, and her only response is well whatever you think happened is what happened. I’m not saying that my dad killed her friend, but I am saying that he probably played a major role in tracking her down and making sure they could catch her at the right time. A tragic detail I can remember about the story I was hearing is that the poor girl was heading to work when they killed her. I just have so many questions but I’m scared to think that he might’ve been involved in the murder. It wouldn’t shock me, but I wouldn’t like to think that I’m the daughter of a murderer.

I uncovered how much of a backstabber majority of my cousins are, they were all fake. But the darkest one is my single mother that had lied a lot to me, she had successfully pretended to be a decent and caring mother until I saw on our camera footage she dumbly hid my STUFFS in a storage box I never thought of opening because I never get into anyone'a stuff and when I finally decided to take a look on that unlocked storage box which I know SHE DID NOT EXPECTED FROM ME is that all of my past MISSING ITEMS ARE THERE everything that I needed for my way to success 🤬🤬🤬 that was the last time I ever trusted her, all of those items got lost from DIFFERENT YEARS, means she's always been stopping my way to success and I KINDA FELT BAD FOR BLAMING OTHER PEOPLE WHOM I THOUGHT WERE BEHIND IT. I tried forgiving her with all her GASLIGHTING TOWARDS ME I tried to stay calm with her NEVER APPRECIATING ANYTHING I DO A BIT her monitoring my every move from childhood-adulthood I thought she JUST HAD A DIFFERENT OLD WAY OF BEING A MOTHER, I tried to be understanding I FOCUSED ON THE GOOD THINGS SHE DID FOR ME, coz I DIN'T KNEW SHE IS WORST THAT I KNEW. That is why I'll never return to her again ever.

Last story: these accusations are often a win-win for the female, as the accused has to pony up tens of thousands to pay lawyer to defend against the unlimited resources of the State, and are almost never prosecuted for the false accusation. The accused is broke and prosecutors won’t bring charges, as it’s now ‘civil’. And, very often the accused is forced into a plea deal, even if innocent, as the prosecutors will keep shoveling charges on that have to be defended, with no money left to do so. Anything said by the female is ‘evidence’, and anything said by the male simply doesn’t matter.
