You wanna know the realization I had recently? The Defiant is punk rock for conservatives who call Green Day sellouts because they just found out that BJA has always hated them two seconds ago. EDIT 7/30/2024 - well this aged like a fine wine didn’t it 😅
"The Dickies (no relation)" Kudos, that got a great giggle out of me! This is a neatly researched little video, I have just found the channel, so kudos! Interesting little subject matter, nuanced too, and I hope you go far!
Coming back down to say this video was really awesome, great job brother! Hope your channel blows up, below 7k subs is criminal for how much you clearly put in. We REALLY need more leftist media analysis of music, and looking at your other vids has me super stoked to dive in and honestly kind of inspired! You got a new fan right here! Keep rocking!
Seems you are expert in punk scene and vaccines...whats your point after all this huge affort to make difamation against one band...you even contextualize how bad is to so called coservative musicians team together in a single band... biased as much as posdible..should we understood this as bunch of bad conservative group which has to be ignored, despite playing great music, or what? Keep it simple dude and save your energy...
I’m so grateful for people like Dicky and Pete who had enough courage to speak out against this insane group of fascists that wanted mandate what gets injected into your body. Nothing but love and respect for these guys.
Alice Cooper (the band) were a fun, gender-bending, and talented group of school pals. Alice (the man) claims biases as “logic” as his elderly mind sizzles in the Arizona sun.
You are obviously very thoughtful and took a lot of time making this. I'm just wondering why you didn't reach out to any of the guys in The Defiant for comment. Also, now that we know these vaccines did not prevent transmission - why would you still argue that distrust in the systems that pushed medical tyranny and segregation was unjustified?
The worst offense a band can commit is simply being boring. Next is being bad. Yet somehow The Defiant are guilty of being boring and bad. And embarrassing.
Watched the whole video. Super confused about your use of the term “surf punk”. Every time you start to vaguely describe a few different kinds of songs, you say “surf punk” which, in my mind, those things are not. What is a clear model of surf punk that you are referencing when you say that?
I mainly use "surf-punk" as a catch-all term for a specific aesthetic of pop punk that was big in the late 90s, where it still has the intention of being punk, but it's also upbeat and could be comfortably played at a beach party. Think Walkin On The Sun or Come Out And Play, or a lot of the more politically motivated Ska from the time
@@BronzeShow Thats skate punk if anything. The Cramps are surf punk and are more closely related to psyhchobilly bands than skate punk like NOFX or questionably, the Offspring.
@@BronzeShow well if you’re going to present yourself as some sort of encyclopedic “authority” on things, you should at least know your terminology/what you’re talking about
This band is genius for trying to corner the market on punk rock for the “ I just wanna grill” crowd.

I didn't hear about this but WOW so disappointing. I really like a lot of these guys' music. :(

They did prevent transmission. You're talking about things you don't understand because it makes you feel safe and smart.
oh boy my favorite show bronze
Great video!
