Is it just me or are the notes coming out really late? The speed is already so high when he says "3 right" the first time that the driver would have to process it and hit the brakes instantaneously since the turn is hidden behind the crest.

@@grey9803 no rally isn't dangerous at all, the car is fully equiped with safety equipment to protect the driver and co-driver when they crashed. But the FIA can't do anything to the spectators since they always get close to the road like retards, thats why its considered dangerous.

If u closely look what they crashed into, u can see that they hit one of those little "churches" (i assume its in greece). Greeks build those on spots where a heavy crash happened before. They usually have pictures of the people who died in the crash, together with candles and religious icons.

My uncle was a really successful rally driver in SA back in the day and my dad built two of his cars. I'll never forget my first time sitting in a modded Sentra SE-R and feeling those incredible g's, even with how slow they were going for my sake. Amazing. God I miss it.

I grew up in the country, and in high school there was a school policy for athletes that if you showed up late for class on gameday, you couldn't play. I had a nasty habit of getting to school right as the bell was ringing in the morning, and these dirt road rally shots reminds me of my driving to school in the morning. 80-90 mph on dirt roads trying to get to class on time hahaha

@Chris Farley you completely misuderstood my comment .. when i say deers dont understand the concept of road .. means when they see you coming in a slightly curved road speeding they dont assume you will follow the road .. they assume you will go straight in the line they saw u initially going in so they run left or right but you follow the road so a crash happens .. as for night they alos dont understand the concept of headlights in front side of a car .. so when they see a light coming thier way "even if its not actually going thier way but how would they know" they run left or right .. again a crash happens .

That foot cam is insane, the amount of skill and precision needed for the left foot braking and heel toe blows my mind. Not to mention the clutch less shifting

As soon as you come off the gas, lightly SUGGEST the gear stick to go into neutral and keep suggesting it to go into the next gear while the revs are dropping. It will mesh in when the gear is spinning at the same rate as the engine. I'd try doing it from 3rd to 4th.
Also you should definitely NOT do it during daily driving. It's good to know how to do it but repetitive use can seriously fuck up your synchronisers. In the video, he is doing it to maintain control of the brake while shifting

The camera jarring that you expect to happen when you jump, hit a bump, or barrel roll. The tight field of view that let's you know 6th gear and pedal to the floor is no way to take a blind corner.
Doing well with a floating cinematic sports camera is one thing. Up close and in your face driving is a skill on a whole different level. An e-sport could easily be based on a solid game designed around first person rally that would draw crowds were a publisher to back it.

The tone of the rev indicates a straight camshaft, which is found in most Japanese/European performance engines. Can't tell you the exact brand, but it's an inline 4 engine possibly made by Subaru, or TRD-tuned Toyota engine.
