Have been reading “Autobiography of a Yogi “ and always get more from it besides inspiration. Yogananda , was visiting Bhaduri Mahasaya , often and once Bhaduri commented to him “ You go often into the silence , but have you developed anubhava (Actual perception of God ) ? He was reminding me to love God more than meditation. “ Do not mistake the technique for the Goal.”
I am a strong conscious dreamer so one of the issues I have is very soon after I close my eyes there is a dream circus going on immediately. Keeping the eyes open and using the periphery is a solid practice! Thank you!
Awesome, Forrest. I've been doing Yoga Nidra for a couple of years now, and it has helped me not to fall asleep during my regular meditation sessions as you say. Being able to float in that limbo of sorts is a very enjoyable experience, indeed! I see you mention the subconscious mind several times. In your approach, is it the same as the unconscious mind ala Jung, or is it something else? Thanks for sharing. Blessings and blissings!
@@HMALDANA so perfect! Yes, that's the same. Sometimes when is mentioning the unconscious he's talking about the subconscious and also the superconscious as the one stretches into the other. 😍✨️🥰🕊🙏🪷
5:55 I relate this to the dopamine addiction addicts chase after. Or if you subscribe to ADHD, it could be looked upon similarly. Chasing after the next thing to grab hold of our awareness and that excite us.
I find meditation after a strenuous workout significantly easier. Do you have anything to say about why that might be? I really struggle with just getting up and meditating but if I do something physical beforehand it's much easier. I think I get to tranquil breath much easier too.
we are supposed to be in the deep silence which happens during first kriya, but thats too deep and makes one sleepy, this is why second and third have movements, but despite having movement they also create that deep silence (in between the repetitions of the 2nd and 3rd kriya), we are supposed to dwell in these new deep silences too am I right? Basically trying to elongate the time spent in that deep silence without falling asleep???
