  • Hello and welcome to another train review of mine,
On Thursday the 28th April I travelled to Melbourne to review the VLine trains, and to experience the VLine trains. Overall my thoughts were that VLine has really good trains connecting Melbourne to Regional Victoria. This comes at a bargain price aswell, so if you wanted to save money but spend more time I would definitely recommend doing this over flying.
I would like to thank everyone of you for watching this video of mine, I put a lot of effort into it and I really do hope you found it useful.
    Some useful information:

Virgin Australia: Sunshine Coast to Adelaide (Economy Class)

Great one Aidan - very comprehensive! Apparently the VLocity economy seats were designed to be equivalent to first class in the loco-hauled sets, so makes sense that you preferred them. But as you say, if you ask any rail geek, they’ll prefer the N Class sets every time. 🤓😍
V/Line is certainly taking their time to reopen the onboard cafes. A bit disappointing really given almost every form of hospitality in Australia is operating again.

Thanks so much Adam! The VLocity train was just a nice comfortable experience, but the Loco hauled felt like a real train ride as I said. Thanks for watching :)

I used to live in Geelong, the old stock maybe more comfortable but the velocity’s get you to the destination quicker.

Awesome video, great informative piece for many that had the opportunity to travel Statewide with V/Line. Your's is the second vlog I have viewed rating V/Line, both a resounding thumbs up for our regional operator. Looking forward to more content, well done!!

Aidan, you know I LOVE your plane content. However, you have truly masted train travel videos too. Really enjoyed this. I've lived in Victoria for the majority of my life and even I have never taken V-Line. I love looking at my own city through the lens of a visitor. You paint such a gorgeous view of my home town. Do MORE TRAINS!

The quality of your videos is fantastic now Aidan and keeps getting better. You should consider investing in a gimbal for your phone as it makes the shots really steady. Keep up the good work - loving it! Matthew

I love this train and have been on it many a times.
The bombarder trains ate also much better than the diesel trains that use to go to Waugh Ponds.
Soon there will be a electric train to Waurn Ponds

This was a cool video, glad to see a review of the V/Line trains and your thoughts on them. A bit sad not to see the Sprinter railcars featured (usually on the Seymour line and also to Stony Point). Maybe you could ride them to Stony Point in your full Melbourne train ride video since technically the Stony Point line is a metropolitan line even though it's a diesel service. Hope you can do that video soon.

Thanks for watching, I have booked another trip back to Melbourne next week where I will review the Sprinter, and the Standard Gauge Velocity, stay tuned!

You're welcome, and that's awesome to hear. The standard gauge Vlocity will be a good one to review too since it's different from the regular Vlocities so I look forward to that and of course the Sprinter. Can't wait.

You said Melbourne's public transport is the best in Australia, would you rate it higher than Sydney?

    • @mjcats2011
      @mjcats2011 ปีที่แล้ว

I wouldn't. And I am sorry but the guy is talking out of his hat when he says Melbourne has the best system
The Tram Network is world class, it really is. One of the best in the world and is the most intensively used Public Transport Network in Australia. Whilst the Regional network is better here than in NSW, The Metropolitan Train Network is so, so and nowhere near as good as Sydney's and save for a dozen routes, the bus network is absolutely crap.

I caught a late train on the Bendigo line last night. It was good except for the graffiti 'scratched' into the glass window. It looked similar to the scratches you highlighted. I wonder if it is one person or many low IQ people who think scratching juvenile drivel into glass windows is anything but pathetic.
