TO ALL PEOPLE WITH DESCALING ISSUES: After the first rinse seqence, fill the water reservoir ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP...really fill it up untill the water almost overflows. Then start the 2nd rinse sequence. In my case, the caffe latte button lit up, not the flat white button. Thats fine...just press the caffe latte to initiate thr 2nd rinse. Let it run all the water out of the reservoir and the scaling should now be done. It is INFURIATING how poor the documentation still is to this day. This issue has beem around for YEARS and above tip has worked for me every time.
We are in exactly the same situation- I have made several attempts to sort out the descale sensor issue- I have been in touch with the helpline ( in fairness they’re very supportive) and now it seems there’s a significant cost to send it for repair- totally frustrating…
We never had any issue with this machine. Now we did a descaling and we have the same issue as the previous comment. Once the the descaling program finished,we can't do and push any other button than restart the descaling. Our warranty is expired but this is very annoying as we just wanted to clean the machine. Now we can't use it

The Flat white button doesn’t blink, but the Descaling alert light is on. Filled the tank as guided, so not sure what to do to get the machine to start descaling process
Both "descaling" and "flat white" still blinking an hour later with the tank fully empty. The "flat white" button never stopped blinking!! What to do now???
We are having the same issue as everyone, done with the descaling, but the orange light just keeps on blinking. If everyone is having the same problem, why do we need to pay for repairs?

I wish I had never done this! I spent six hours yesterday and today I have spoken with three different representatives all of whom I was disconnected with. I tried two video calls that both diconnected. If I ever get this fixed, I wil do it the old fashioned way with white vinegar!

1:51 it doesnt shine - its blinking & the water tank is already empty - so it might be a wrong statement from you

You need to insert the descaling pipe with the machine on.
Same problem! We did the descaling and now the machine won’t switch back to normal mode!
