I don't agree. Maybe he can't do 50 games in Premier League but he's still quality player. I also think Madrid will lower the price as they need some serious rebuilding. Gareth Bale is the sort of player who could add 10 points to most teams and that alone would make him good buy to likes of Man Utd and Chelsea.
How is everyone hating on Bale? The guy is a world class player, he just isn't in the right environment anymore. Real to him is like Mourinho was to Pogba. I still think he has what it takes and that he will flower at Man U or Spurs.
Excellent analysis but it’s really from outsider perspective on the life of a British player playing in Spain. What the panel doesn’t mention is that Bale hasn’t been performing. It’s not cause he’s low key or doesn’t go out to dinner with team mates, it’s because for years all Jonathan Barnett could spew was “the reason Bale isn’t scoring 40 goals is cause of Ronaldo” etc etc and now that that moment has come, he’s been close to abysmal. They mention the glittering moments of his career so far in Madrid, but he’a also been very inconsistent, always injured and rarely looking 100% fit. You cannot say this isn’t Bale’s fault when Florentino Perez has tried repeatedly to BUILD the team around him, a man who cost 100mill and was brought into the club to be the heir to Ronaldo’s throne(with this being one of the main reasons why Perez always seemed so trigger happy to the idea of selling Ronaldo) and he just hasn’t filled those shoes. It’s one thing not to be a leader or a have shy personality, but a lot of this season rode on the expectation that he would step up and fill the shoes that Ronaldo walked in, and objectively speaking, he’s just been poor.
maybe if you looked at him for what he is instead of what he is supposed to be, maybe then we will appreciate him better. ozil type thing, ppl always seem to expect more from ozil but he is world class in his way. bale can never be ronaldo or even come close
ofentse kekana I know that, I even acknowledged that, but he’s been ABYSMAL no matter what way you spin it. Poor touches, poor passing accuracy, no goals is always missing(that’s been his this season) he’s been poor by anyone’s standards.

United are the only club vain enough in the UK to sign Bale. It’s no good comparing him to Ronaldo. Ronaldo has never had any serious injuries, and he will play on at his usual level as a result. Bale on the other hand is injury prone. His hamstrings are made of glass and he relies on pace. He is one more hamstring tear away from dropping down significantly in standard. United will sign him to keep the fans happy. Ole won’t have a say in the signing. He won’t have any autonomy in the transfer market. Just a side note, but Bale speaks fluent Spanish and has conducted many media interviews in Spanish. So I have no idea what that arsehole Mason is wittering on about.
Shoild try stay fit then and when giving a chsnce actually do something on the field bale isnt even in the top 20 players in world football and he gets a crazy wage

Its a British channel, of course its gonna mainly focus on English/British players & teams. Its TV viewers wont watch it if it was about LaLiga, Serie A or Bundesliga.
Every country does that ! I live in France and they think Dembélé is world class, but he just isn't. He can produce moments of pure magic, just like Sancho can, but he's so inconsistent ! The Germans though Max Meyer was the next big thing ! I also read somewhere that Pellegrini was considered the brightest Italian talent of the 2010s, and I'll bet you not even half of so-called football fans know who he plays for. That's just how it is everywhere. These pundits talk mostly about and praise English talents cos they're also English and support England, end of story.
If these pundits watch la laliga, they will have different opinions or they are just pure biased. Bale has been playing half or less than half seasons for years now at Madrid. It's not his fault but he has not been productive.
And how many minutes?! You'll find his minutes over 34 games this season is something like 23 games worth - yet he has 13 goals and 6 assists...so almost a goal or assist every game, going by minutes on the pitch rather than appearances. But that's right....most are only casuals! So they ignore said stats! Minutes played is far more important and a better judge of performance level than Appearances!
Taffy Ducks you can’t lie about Stats homie. He played 31 games with 10 goals ( not to mention others earned penalties) and TWO ASSISTS in 2018-19 season. He is a decent player I admit. However his productive level and wages is so unmatched. I wish he leaves Real Madrid for good now
I wouldn't mind him at United to be fair. Even with his recent struggles at Real Madrid and injury issues, on his day he still is a top class winger. He's definitely an upgrade to Sanchez. If we offer Real Madrid about £50-£65m that should be enough. But I doubt we will sign him if Solskjaer is appointed permanent manager as firstly, he is almost 30 and injury prone, and secondly the club will target more younger players as Ole trusts youth unlike Jose.
Gareth Bale's problem is he's INJURY PRONE!! He plays a string of games, and then he gets injured. 18/19 Adductor problems, ankle injury, calf injury 17/18 Adductor problems, hamstring, multiple calf injuries 16/17 Hip, ankle, calf 15/16 muscle, calf 14/15 Hamstring 13/14 Foot, Mensical Laceration, Muscular problems Every season he's been at Real Madrid, he's missed 10+ games a season because of injuries.
Bale would fit very well into Bayern. A strong core looking to bolster with some open spots in the line-up with Robben and Ribery on the way out, no beef created by moving to another club within Spain or England, and won't be in Ronaldo's shadow again at Juve.
These guys a re really good at pandering to Bale, but the reality is very different from what they are painting: he does not speak Spanish to his mates, he has not played 50-60 games a season because he is injured constantly-often disregarding the team's doctor's treatment for whomever he wants, he had an excellent game against Liverpool, yeah, but right after he came out saying he would leave if the club didn't treat him better, and he has scored 101 goals-just at about 1 million euros each for his signing fee. It is messed up that some of his teammates have critizing him publicly, but it is not just about his social life, he has underperformed for most of his time there, and given mostl lackluster performances., So, as an anti-Madrid football follower, I hope nobody takes him because he is entirely overhyped. Just listen to Toschack, and he has known him for a long time.
The culture clash is just too much sometimes for some people and that might be the problem with Bale. Especially Real, which is an extremely hard club to manage and play for. If he returns to any british club, he'll be world class again.
Bale is a fantastic player but he is 30 years old and injury prone...his transfer fee is going to be above 60 million dont think many premier league clubs will bid for him. Juventus have a history of buying older players so if he goes anywhere it will be italy.
Bayern? Replacing Ribery? Excellent club, respects and protects their players, all business, legendary medical staff, play football not bus-parking... Perhaps include Lewandowski in the deal?
SUCHIT APAGE | True, maybe a thing of the past. Used to have a great reputation. Kind of wondered if that’s why Pep got into it with M-Wohlfahrt or if others things were going on.
It's so funny how the english handle their talents. The refusal of looking abroad to see how other country's are creating world star players is just appalling. The premier league is the best league in the world, but oh boy they do know how to badly manage their clubs and national squads.
Couldn't agree any more. I'm English and don't understand how big clubs don't give younger player the game time they need. I'm a united fan and can't wait to see the likes of Gomes and Chong play with the first team. Also, Chelsea have a fantastic youth academy and let their most talented player leave all the time. Incredible. Lets not get started on the national team lol.
@@zicowarrior1735 national team is getting better imo. Under the current manager it's been much better and we had a pretty young team in the world cup and at the same time he was quick to say to Cahill that he wasn't really in his plans moving forward.
What's even more horrible is the FA|PL refusal to accommodate the big clubs in making their fixtures as easy on them as possible to give them the best chance to succeed in the CL. It's a bloody disgrace and to add to the misery of card happy referee's that fear any kind of physical contact that UEFA promote in the CL, it's no wonder an English club hasn't won the bloody thing since 2012.
@@kwl189 that's true yet, it's took way too long for us to give our younger players a chance. As for comparing leagues, thats not really fair to do as its different style of play however, the bottom teams in the prem always give their all even when they already look down and out.

Completely disagree with Mason about the language point. English speakers take it for granted that they speak one language. He's been there for 6 years and has the money to get the best teachers. It's one thing that he doesn't want to stay up late but his teammates would get on better with him if they could actually speak to him.
How many English people in Wales speak Welsh?! Why is it only a problem now, after 6 years?! Didn't seem to matter when he was scoring winning goals in Finals!
The how many people speak Welsh point is irrelevant. The most spoken language in Wales is English, so learning Welsh isn't a necessity. Spanish people speak Spanish, so why is it seen as too much of a stretch to adopt to the culture you're in? If someone moved to the UK for work, they would have to learn English. Also the Spanish media have frequently talked about how Bale hasn't learned the language so this isn't anything new. Real Madrid fans are harsh, but it's Bale's fault if he feels isolated because he hasn't put the effort in to learn the language.
bales on 650k a week at real apparently no one in England is gonna pay him any were near that, especially spurs hes not worth half that on current form, injury record and age
In my opinion bale is nowhere near the player he was a few years bk. He's declined alot over the last couple of years or so, with the injuries he's had. He's still a decent player don't get me wrong but he's fallen alot in my opinion.
Most foreign players in Real Madrid learned some Spanish, look at Kroos, Modric, Varane, Casemiro, but Bale just couldn't bring himself to do it. Add to that the fact that he has been injured so many times at other important moments than the Champions League final, and its not impossible to imagine some fans being dissatisfied with him.
He’s so right, being a young player regardless where in the pyramid you a based is so hard, managers tend to focus on the now and experienced players rather than look to the future with the ability in the players starting their journey off
this is very strange, both pundits are pretty intelligent and well spoken. very unusual when it comes to coverage of football and especially when it involves ex-players. really enjoyed this little debate, would be good to see more of both of them!
No, he isn't getting booed for his life style, it's for the amount of chances he misses and his attitude ON the field. Ronaldo left and he had the chance to prove himself and he wasted that.
Issac C no I would rather keep lukaku than bale. We need a young players to come in and improve them. First we need Sanchez so we free up the wage bill
totally agree with liam, he speaks the truth, utd have these same players in greewood, chong, garner etc, fair play to sancho, he said 'stuff you, i know what i can do' too much fear to play these youngsters and if utd aren't careful they'll lose 4 or 5 top draw youngsters because let's face it in the next 5 years the average age of any club in the premier league will be around 19 to 23 years old. next season liverpool have harry wilson on his way back, he's played brilliant at derby, utd should do likewise, loan out the youth to the championship for a year, works better than leaving them in the academy.
Ridiculous comment....are that's right, alot of united fans have become like Liverpool fans from the 90s... don't like players that can score 4 winning goals in Finals and an assists or goal nearly every game he has played. 155 goals or assists in 185 Starts...that's consistent, and those numbers are crazy figures from a covered forward who has never possessed a Natural positional sense as a Natural born forward. So he has More goals and assists in less games than Figo! Scored in 4 finals, which is far better than Figo 's contribution yet somehow isn't considered a great by many! It's ridiculous!!! But saying that....Most young adults have only ever known Ronaldo and Messi and don't realise, stats on their own don't make you a great! I must have missed the day when football fans agreed 350 tap ins were considered a defining factor when judging greatness!
I would take Bale in a 💓 19 goal contributions in 23 games worth of minutes this season! And that's taking into account they Dont involve him in the game. And he Constantly scores game winning final goals. 155 goals or assists in 185 Starts....what kind of idiot doesn't think those sort of numbers aren't consistent?! Those numbers are better some legendary players like Figo and Zidane (Not better than Zidane, Better than Figo). Let's not forget aswell, he's a converted bloody Forward, he spent 6 years as Full back!!! So you have to take into account things like goals not scored over those six years, (say a modest 10 a season onto his numbers...5 years at Spurs, 6 at Madrid. Split them evenly and he ends up with 185 goal contributions in 185 Starts! 😂....Not consistent mind you!) His stats define Consistent.
Also, over-praising Gareth Bale just because he's british. That manager had said the feet-kissing comment about any Man UNited player (non-british would make it even funnier) and these guys would be seething. ANd don't forget Bale has been dreadful and incredibly inconsistent in the last couple of seasons. Add to that the off-the-pitch stuff these pundits failed to mention.
Real Madrid has to be one of the most toxic clubs in the world, the fans and the hierarchy in the club are awful. Bale's agent is right, they should be kissing his boots considering what he's done for them. Can't believe the Isco situation either, he's an absolutely class player. If the image and the lifestyle is what they're after as well as the talent then as a United fan I could imagine them coming in for Pogba, he's a class talent and would also eminate the personality they want. I wouldn't like to see him go, but if Madrid came in for him I'd offer them a swap deal including him & Sanchez for Isco and Bale. I could imagine Isco running the midfield the way De Bruyne/David Silva do for City, and Bale would solve our right wing issues
He just needs a consistent run of form. Whenever he gets a decent run of games he is outstanding for Real and carries the team. The problem is those runs are too rare.
Are you stupid or something? Even Ronaldo moved to Madrid from a team that had just been to two Champions League Finals, winning one of them, at a time when Madrid were regularly being knocked out at the last 16....that's just how much of a pull they have! They're having a dismal season, sure, but it's far from the first time it's happened and yet still the big names came and they rebuilt themselves stronger
Sean Of The Head are you stupid? Hes a club legend and beloved in chelsea, chelsea arent a sinking ship by any means however madrid is a sinking ship especially with ramos who will destroy the club by being the manager then again we have chelsea has kepa as a manager too.
@@darkwolf1739 you sound like an absolute clueless idiot 😂 if Madrid called Hazard today and offered him a transfer, he'd do everything he could to leave tomorrow! One season does not define a club and given how poor Chelsea have been of late themselves and their own turmoil that they're facing with the likes of Sari and Kepa going wild, I should think he would leave for what he already has admitted is his dream club in a heartbeat, particularly if Chelsea don't make the Champions League places!
As a Liverpool fan, my vote would be for Bale to go to Utd. He's enough of a prima donna that him, Pogba and Sanchez at the same club would completely unravel all of Ole's good work.

Bale should go to west ham, as they are wilshere accessible...... sry i mean wheelchair accessible!
The Regent at first I thought u was serious, why would bale go to a bubble blowing low mid table team?
Rosenior and Mason are probably the best pair on The Debate. Great insight.
BALE borisov. He is a big risk transfer, injury prone, entering the latter part of his career, most likely unwilling to take a pay cut. He's a sanchez to utd situation, clubs should be weary
Bale would offer more at United on the RW. Sanchez has becone too comfortable.
Sanchez wasn’t injury prone though, actually Sanchez was at most times holding Arsenal on his shoulders
Greath bale to united or other club will be similar to sanchez to united, injury prone, inconsistance since last 2 years, wage demand will be mountain,No body will buy him if they are smart.
Especially since Madrid will want close to 80mill for him!
Injury porn ? Trust the welsh eh

Another Andy Carroll

Poor touches, poor passing accuracy, no goals is always missing(that’s been his this season) he’s been poor by anyone’s standards.

this season you might have a case indeed. but his states are very impressive... goal and assist ratio are almost 1 per game since joining...
i still think thou he can redeem himself elsewhere where the coach and the team will have faith in him not the boarr
If Tottenham signed bale...him and Kane would be unstoppable
Until bale gets injured! And spurs can't afford him anyway.
They wont pay those kind of wages. Plus theyre going to lose Erikson so they wouldnt be improving the team just swapping a very influential player for a perennially injured one.
Don’t think Kane can handle being #2
Son is better than Bale.
Yh because bale would go back to the club he sold out of

Give Ryan Mason 5 yrs I bet he’ll be the best pundit on Sky Sports
Liam Rosenior is fast becoming my favourite pundit. Very insightful punditry.
I think Reading fc is the next club for Bale...
His favourite player was giggs United tried for years to get him he had his chance not interested
Mason needs ditched hes one boring guy and his injury was ages ago no meed for sympothy votes now sack asap bwfore we all fall into a permanent coma
Best player In the world is currently Phil jones
Bales a talent that’s being wasted he should join a top 6 side in the premier league
Shoild try stay fit then and when giving a chsnce actually do something on the field bale isnt even in the top 20 players in world football and he gets a crazy wage
What about TAA for Liverpool? Not overhyped just brilliant
A little overhyped.
Who is TAA
Manc Car Guy Trent Alexander Arnold
I'm Arsenal fan and I think hes underrated by some Liverpool fans. He got really good free kicks crossed and long passes with either foot aswell. I expect to be England number 1 right back for the next 10 years or thereabout
The Argyraspides what one thing? Can’t footballers make mistakes?
Why do England constantly overrate all their footballers? Do you have a self esteem problem?
MACCARONIVELLI 3Pac I think that the prem is the best league in the world but the disrespect shown to the other leagues is unbelievable
Why are you watching?
When last did an English club win Champions League with a proper starting English XI (say maybe 5/11 or 6/11)
If these pundits watch la laliga, they will have different opinions or they are just pure biased.
I wish he leaves Real Madrid for good now
Taffy Ducks he is too inconsistent and injury prone. He is unreliable for a world class player. This is coming from a Real Madrid fan.
Xx*EJ*xX probably not
If mou goes to Real Madrid, bale stays. Simple as.
Gareth Bale's problem is he's INJURY PRONE!! He plays a string of games, and then he gets injured.
18/19 Adductor problems, ankle injury, calf injury
17/18 Adductor problems, hamstring, multiple calf injuries
16/17 Hip, ankle, calf
15/16 muscle, calf
14/15 Hamstring
13/14 Foot, Mensical Laceration, Muscular problems
Every season he's been at Real Madrid, he's missed 10+ games a season because of injuries.
Man Utd don’t need another injury prone player. Would rather sign Lozano
An Alexis Sanchez + cash swap deal for Bale could be the best solution for all parties
Bale would fit very well into Bayern. A strong core looking to bolster with some open spots in the line-up with Robben and Ribery on the way out, no beef created by moving to another club within Spain or England, and won't be in Ronaldo's shadow again at Juve.
Agreed
I’m not sure Eriksen is 100% set on staying unfortunately, could he be used in a swap deal with Bale?
The culture clash is just too much sometimes for some people and that might be the problem with Bale. Especially Real, which is an extremely hard club to manage and play for.
If he returns to any british club, he'll be world class again.
Daniel Leão but won’t win a champions league again. He won 4 thanks to Real Madrid
Sky sports should sign Bale to join their panels because no big team with ambition to win trophies won't sign him
Bale is a fantastic player but he is 30 years old and injury prone...his transfer fee is going to be above 60 million dont think many premier league clubs will bid for him. Juventus have a history of buying older players so if he goes anywhere it will be italy.
Well 29 still, amazing thing is with all of his injuries his stats are unbelievable
Ronaldo would probably but a stop to him joining Juventus given their relationship

Well the "new" manager is Zidane so it's looking like Bale's gone
If Chelsea can buy players don’t be shocked to see Bale included as part of the Hazard deal.
I'm glad it never materialised
Bale provides great game changing moments but his general play is pretty poor.
That's because they don't include him in build up play! He only gets 5 passes a game! And 3 of them are from Modric.
Great discussion, Bale is a top professional footballer, at the wrong club!
A great professional joins team meetings and learning the language of the country you play for is bare minimum.
Do NOT want him at United. Too injury-prone. Sancho is the target I hope.
OLE'S AT THE WHEEL! I’d take both. We need a squad full of better players - not just a starting 11.
bales on 650k a week at real apparently
no one in England is gonna pay him any were near that, especially spurs
hes not worth half that on current form, injury record and age
In my opinion bale is nowhere near the player he was a few years bk. He's declined alot over the last couple of years or so, with the injuries he's had. He's still a decent player don't get me wrong but he's fallen alot in my opinion.
Both of these guys should become managers or directors of football.
Sancho is a good prospect but he needs time. He can be a world class player, time will tell. He should stay at Dortmund for a couple seasons
United should get Marco Asensio!!
Nope united need a right winger not a striker.
He’s so right, being a young player regardless where in the pyramid you a based is so hard, managers tend to focus on the now and experienced players rather than look to the future with the ability in the players starting their journey off
Hope it won't be Man U as GB spends for more off the pitch because of injuries. Retirement would fit him great.
If he does come, Sanchez has to go. That's too much wage for 2 players in the same team..

Ridiculous comment....are that's right, alot of united fans have become like Liverpool fans from the 90s... don't like players that can score 4 winning goals in Finals and an assists or goal nearly every game he has played.
