    These are so great! Textile can't hold a candle to 100% Waterproof 24-7!

      An added level of reassurance for sure!

    Love these! The smaller size (12L) might still be a bit too large for me to add my current setup though. A 6 or 8L and I’m all over that…. A 3rd size option similar to the trails end line in the future I hope? Cheers :)

    Damn I just bought the Trails End ADV bag, I would have waited for this guy.

      Thank you for your support. It is still a month to 6 weeks out... Now you can use and enjoy the Trails End Tail Bag until the Hurricane bags are available.

    really wish a side-by-side comparison to the trails end lineup. These look monstrously huge.

      This is a fantastic suggestion @useless274 We will get on it! In the meantime... Here are the physical measurements side by side:

      @@Nelsonriggusa thanks! I found the dimensions but it's a little hard to "intuit" them. I figure the hurricane must be as tall as the old enduro when expanded?
      It's too bad there isn't an expander on the hurricane.

      Yes, they Hurricane is very close to the same size as the respective textile version expanded. We tried for a long time to make the Hurricane expandable. That dry bag material is a tough to work with in that capacity. Thanks for your support.

      @@Nelsonriggusa i don't know why you guys don't do the waterproof cover hidden in a pouch at the front of the bag. I have an ogio that works this way and been solid for 20k miles. I ordered/received a hurricane and my fears were correct - it's just way too big and cumbersome. if it wasn't such a pain to get on/off to swap between bikes i might have kept it.

      @@useless274 Thank you for your communication here. We have the mesh pocket in the top of the tail bag for the rain cover. An outside pocket, we do see how that could be beneficial but not as sexy ;) We will put this into discussions for future updates. Sorry the Hurricane bag was too big for you.

    This is ALMOST what I was asking for on one of your videos last year! Or was it in 22? =D Anyway...
    Would like to have had MOLLE on the sides of the bags as well =( Particularly on the big one. From experience with Trails End, a pair of the bottle holders on the cover is a pita if you are accessing the contents, and they sway a lot. Still, well done and I'll probably buy the small one for my DRZ.

      Thank you for your feedback! Yes, we do listen to you all when you make suggestions and requests. We tried to make this one expandable, but that just was not working the way we wanted it to... so we have these generously spacious 12L and 28L bags. We appreciate your support.

    Ok I need someone to sway me in one direction or the other cause I’ve got analysis paralysis. I’m a DR650 rider, I’m not afraid to throw 28L on the back considering my luggage top bag is 30L. Am I going to regret going with 28L for the tail bag or would 12L be more suitable for the rear end of the DR? For the record, I’m not one to worry about looks, I’m a function over aesthetics kinda guy

    • @Nelsonriggusa
      @Nelsonriggusa  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kyle here... While I like the looks of the 12L better than the 28L, I can carry so much stuff in the 28L that is what I choose when I head out. It's not too big for the DR in my opinion.

    Hi, Can I fit a full size helmet in the Dual Sport version ?

    • @Nelsonriggusa
      @Nelsonriggusa  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope, the Dual Sport Hurricane Tail Bag measures 10.5"L x 8.5"W x 6"H and holds approx. 12 liters of gear. Please measure your helmet to verify and you will see how much larger of a bag you will need. We have found that many full face helmets fit into our Adventure Tail Bag which measures: 14"L x 11"W x 9"H approx. 28 Liters

    It's too bad they don't stand behind their products. The plastic zippers always fail and Nelson won't do thing to make it right. There is no good option for repair. They are basically disposable. All motorcycle gear should use a metal zippers. The securing buckles will break over time as well, luckily Nelson only gets $20 for those after shipping. Great bags with junk zippers. Nelson doesn't care

    • @Nelsonriggusa
      @Nelsonriggusa  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is just not correct. We do have a lifetime warranty on all of our luggage. If a zipper fails, which does not happen often, we send out a new bag. Metal zippers can fail just as easy as plastic zippers as the teeth are all attached to fabric that is then sewn to the piece. As for the buckles, they are covered under our warranty too. Our quick release buckles are for on-road use an our tension lock buckles are intended for off-road abuse. I do believe I called you on the phone and left a VM for you to call me back earlier today... Looking forward to our chat. Sincerely, Kyle & the Nelson Rigg Team
