Even if you wanna say it’s Butcher trying to respect Becca’s wishes it’s STILL probably the most important task outside of finding a way to kill Homelandsr that they should be focused on. Hell they spend more time trying to find ways to kill Neuman who is a best more of secondary threat and only doing it because the president is telling them too rather then actually trying to find ways to kill Homelander or hell flipping Ryan. They focus all this time on flipping people like A-Train and Neuman, when Ryan along with being a child who actually has a decent moral compass and who has the most access to Homelander on a daily basis. I stand by it the Boys number one priority should have been finding ways to get him to leave Homelander
