Great video! Your editing is so well done. I am wondering if there is soda in Europe? Do y’all usually just drink water with your meals? Also tell Georgie I said “Hi” 💙
Alison Eliason thanks Alison! There is soda but not fountain soda mostly in cans/bottles/glasses. I usually have water and Cody usually gets a Coke Zero. :)
Love the video. I fell like your revires are really trustworthy your not the youtuber who just says everything i tasted is the best thing i ever tasted in every video. Appreciate the honesty.
Came across your video because we're going to Rome in a few months. I've been to a number of Michelin star restaurants. Judging from what I saw you eat, and knowing the food culture of Rome, I'm guessing that Roman cuisine is more set than other places where creativity and innovation are a high value. Places like Barcelona and Chicago(where I've been to Michelin restaurants) have a bit more of a wow factor when it comes to presentation and creativity. To me it seems like the redeeming qualities of that particular restaurant, and maybe Rome as a whole, is the quality, consistency and dining experience. I'd liken it to Bouchon in Napa, where it's classic french cuisine but done really really well. I'd say, as a whole, 2 and 3 star restaurants really knock your socks off with presentation, creativity, flavor combinations, etc. Keep trying other places though! But once you start...it's hard to stop...and that's hard on the wallet! 😂😂
Hi Lieuy- thanks for your comment. Sounds like I need to go for a two or three star restaurant next time! Appreciate your input and thoughtful feedback!
Huh. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a Michelin star place. 🤔 Now I’m going to start noticing. And no....for some reason the hole-in-the-wall places are always so much better! Happy eating!
I'll pass. Having been to Rome 49 times in 40 years, the best food is in small local trattorias and osterias - not Michelin trendy recreated dishes. It's a crime to Roman food. And agree please don't cut your pasta with a knife!! that's a no no. Nice video but never going there - SO many great local places with the best food. I love Amatriciana and that looked horrible! Sorry to be so direct, but thank you for posting your videos!
The tuna might be cooked. Which I would def try! BUT I'm not a fan of uncooked meat. No foie gras. No uncooked sushi. No raw egg. No raw carpaccio. Nope. Cook those suckers. Before anyone aske tried Foie Gras and raw sushi before. Disgusted all around. Texture...taste...aesthetics...gross.
40 euros for a 3 course meal plus dessert, in a michelin star restaurant, is literally nothing guys.
You ate fish too.
