    An honest review usually doesn't come from a biased source whom also sells the product for a commission, any denial or defense of such practice would also be dishonest. With that said I do respect you for telling people not to spend money that should go to necessities on the course because many do and hopefully it's because you have a bit of a conscience

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Honestly Mr. Sheeple Hunter. I am extremely biased about AIA because I make a lot of money publishing, I've traveled around the world, I live in a nice home, I'm unaffected by most of what is going on in the world today. Unfortunately to get an honest review you need someone who has been in the course a long time, but then that makes the review a scam apparently.
      I took the time to create bonuses based on my years of experience and offer them to people who use my referral link. So they get extra value for the same price and I get a small commission to justify my time. It's not rocket science and I think you're just overthinking your decision to join (There is a refund policy).

      @@TrevorSomerville I think that you are overthinking my thinking, however I do appreciate your candor as you could have just as easily deleted my comments or maintained that the motive behind your video is only to help others. There is nothing wrong with wanting to make money and profit, my only concern is when it harms those whom are the most vulnerable and as I previously stated I respect that you encourage people to manage bills that are necessary and to purchase the course when they have a small amount of disposable income. I'd rather see that people are spending what little additional money they might have on something like your course, which might better their situation in the long run rather than wasting it on something unhealthy. If they end up not finding financial value in it then hopefully they can still find a positive from the opportunity to learn more about their own strengths and/or weaknesses.
      I am a cognitive behavioral therapist and my pay isn't likely to be at your level, but I knew that would be the case when I decided to go to graduate school in the evenings while maintaining a job. I was fortunate to come from a family that was able to pay for all my degrees and education and I was able to start a career that I truly love with zero debt. I'm not motivated by money, but I'd be lying if I said that some extra spending money wouldn't be welcomed. If I ever get a stronger itch to publish my own writings and this is still the path you're on I might choose to support your business since you've been transparent with me and you didn't cower from potential criticism. I hope you and your family remain safe and well

      @@sheeplehunter9651 I've heard of CBT and I think that's a very cool job. Most the comments I get here are someone saying thanks for the info or that this is a scam, so I jump to conclusions on the motive of some comments.
      I don't personally have a course, but if you want to start out slow and chip away at this there will be lots of free info on this channel in the future and there is already tons of good videos on TH-cam. Getting to 1-2k really only requires one good book and that would be very doable outside a job.

    I have a question about the manuscript and book writing in general; I have a few topics that I like, so, once I find a topic of a book to create, ; do I have to write the rough draft of the book myself before I give it to a ghostwriter or manuscript writer? Is the AIA course about how to turn one of my own ideas or research into an audio book? Or is it how to take already created books and turn them into an audiobook? I watched the whole webinar, but I'm still not sure of where the material to create the audiobook comes from;

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries Mark this seems to come up a lot. It's all about aligning your passion/hobbies with a topic that is also profitable on Amazon. If you plan to outsource the book to a ghostwriter which many including myself do, then you will provide a book outline (taught in the course) and they do the rest of the work.
      The course is all about creating and profiting from your own books. We would get into trouble if we turned someone else's work into an audiobook without their permission.

    The refund apparently it’s was you paid for the course only, whatever you invested to publish your book of course that’s on your own, they don’t give you any extra 1000 USD with the refund, this is for people don’t get confused. I’m starting in it, it seems very good so far but you should know you have to put more money than they say in order to public and also you have to do the work and be committed, it is not a all done for you, it’s a we do it together while they teach you, so manage your expectations before going in

    Thank you so much, Trevor, for your kind help sharing this video and here with your patient, helpful and kind replies. I wonder one thing if I may trouble you: We have to write our own content? All the folks doing this are attempting to write their own non-fiction content? And a ghostwriter can clean it up... is that correct? So we must be able to write and have the time to write, correct? I saw in the video by Christian that it can take just a small bit of part time work for this. I was thinking that the writing is the most challenging part, isn't that the most important aspect? Thank you very much for your time. Sincerely, Leslie W

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Lesie. You're very welcome :)
      Id say 95 percent of all publishers eventually have ghost writers doing all the work for them. I'm not a good writer, but as they teach in the course there is different types of inexpensive books that non writers can easily create (which is how many without the confidence or money start).
      You can writer yourself and mitigate costs by having a ghost writer get involved or you can have them handle it all. Once you know what you're doing and you're confident you'll realize outsourcing the content is a great investment because the books always pay for themselves quickly if done correctly.

    1 Have a Mastermind or something else that's called similar. Typically, the twins and some other "how to get rich from publishing" scammers try to upsell you on taking 1-1 coaching or mentorship, which costs even more.
    2 Luxury cars in videos. I haven't seen their small-penis cars, but they flaunt their lifestyle by going to expensive holiday destinations, hanging out at swimming pools, etc. They are definitely trying to make you believe that you can get the life of your dreams with their course.
    3 Disparages 9-5 jobs. They do this constantly.
    4 Invite you to a "live webinar." Check.
    5 Paid course. And yes, way overpriced.
    6 Under 35 years of age. They act as if they know everything when they have no life experience whatsoever.
    7 No verifiable financial history. Check.
    8 Runs TH-cam or Facebook ads. Check. Those ads are expensive. Maybe not for 1 click, but it adds up. They only way they can pay for them, since only 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000 of the people that click on them are actually going to buy something, is to have a really expensive product, like a 1000 or 2000 dollar video course. And the only way they can sell a course like that, is if they throw all those income claims in your face. It's the only reason people justify spending so much.
    9 "Free book." They have a free mini course, which basically tells you how to publish. Nothing special, nor is anything they teach.
    10 Can't stop talking about mentors. The Mikkelsen twins act as if they know everything there is to know about audiobook publishing. There are 470,000 audiobooks on Audible alone, and even more outside that website. Do you really think all these people are less knowledgeable than they are? There are entire companies who invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in professional works. If you want a mentor, go to a real publisher, not some kids who threw up a few dozen books and then called themselves "experts," and then tell everyone else to give them money for showing them how to do it too. By the way, this is Coffee's video. The twins check almost all the boxes. They're full-blown scammers.

      Hey Mario. I agree with you on some of your points, but I make more now in 6-8 weeks than I used to in a whole year with exactly what I learned in this course. Publishing books isn't a secret business it's been around forever; you're just paying 2k to avoid failing dozens of times on your own.
      Personally, I think it's funny how going to university for 4 years and running up massive student loan debts for an average job isn't a scam, but an online course is.

    It seems like a nice business model. The problem though is how expensive it is to get into it. Plus hiring a ghostwriter is extremely expensive too (for a 25k word book would be roughly $500). On top of that there might be some ad spend (though I don’t know if you run ads or not). There’s one ghost writing service that charged $900 for 25k word book, but they dropped the price to $450 after negotiating. Which is definitely cheaper.

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Todd. Yes you pay for the course and pay for the book creation. This is probably the least expensive/risky business there is so don't be intimidated by investing in yourself. (Or watch free content on TH-cam for your first books)
      The ad costs vs revenue is hard to answer because everything is different depending on the niche, demand, book price, marketing, time of year, reviews etc. To give you an answer lets say you're getting 2-3x return on every dollar spent on average + organic sales.

There is nothing wrong with being a person of service and being paid for it. You have taken the time to answer (for free) many questions that are repeated here likely because people do not want to spend hours reading all the comments. My question is if I were to publish about 10 books in a year, what would be a reasonable expectation of earnings? I am sure that ranges. I am not sure I would want to be pushing out books every day so just curious.... also I am kinda bummed the price went up $500 ($1500-$2000). That is a HUGE jump. I was 85% in at $1500 and about 50% now ... we will see but thank you for taking the time to answer people here.

    • @TrevorSomerville

      Hi Shaz. I try my best, but sometimes the questions are more telling me it's a scam than actual questions lol.
      Your question isn't black and white it could be anything from $10 to $50,000. If you follow the course to a T and do 10 great books you'd expect 2-10k a month in earnings. Second-year as reviews pile up these same 10 might go to 5-15k etc.
      Nobody can say for sure although I can tell you if you follow through on those 10 books you won't ever care about a $500 increase. The nice thing is once the work is done it's just a money printing machine pays for itself over and over again.

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dan. I get this question pretty often and the answer is $0 to $1000+. Most people who start out do the 7 day profit challenge and learn how to make books for free (A lot of books that sell well don’t require any writing skill). They teach you how to do absolutely everything on your own but I highly suggest spending money on a cover designer and a narrator so $100 to $200 depending on the length of the book. If done right you should be able to average making that much per month with one of these books.
      Then you can start reinvesting those royalties into longer form content and ghost writers and that can range $400 to $1000. However these books have a higher earning potential on average so they tend to do quite well.
      This is exactly how I started and progressed. So now I can outsource everything and invest a lot in a great book and I don’t feel it cause of the royalties already coming in.

    Hi Trevor! I really found this video helpful. I came across their course a couple days ago and I really want to join, but I just can’t seem to shake those lingering hesitations. I’m intrigued because I never come across any courses that literally offer such a success guarantee and even refunds plus additional cash on top if somehow it doesn’t work for you. So it really seems promising - like they truly want to see you succeed. I’m just confused because why do they get such negative reviews? People saying their courses are a scam and it’s not worth buying. They say they’ve gotten kicked off various publishing sites before and basically create a false picture of their own success as well as others. Haven’t they been featured in Forbes? Seems odd that something as legitimate and popular as Forbes would host two scammers in their content. Like I said, I really want to join this course, I just can’t understand why there’s so much slander and if any of it is true. Really appreciate any feedback, Trevor! Take care!

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Hey Alisha. First off I just want to say your comment is a breath of fresh air for me, I get so many crazy "SCAM" comments and you're asking some good honest questions based on what you've seen (Thank you).
      I'll answer these in a numbered sequence:
      1) It's because they're that confident in the product that if they get you to sign up you'll be hooked and find success. The refunds/additional cash is a small price to pay because your success in the program helps them enormously. They will pay you $500 cash just to complete and launch your first book that's how much they want you to succeed and become a glowing review for the course.
      2) Anyone reading this... you cant just scam people. Literally if you bought the course and it was a scam you would call your credit card and they would instantly refund your purchase (Zero liability) - And then the course would be shut down by the payment processor. You cant just scam 11,000+ people.
      3) Anything that is MMO (Make money online) will get attacked on the internet. All these claims are from crazy people in their moms basement that have never joined the course. Indie authors especially hate those of us who make a good living off publishing because most of them are starving artists and they posts 100's of times about AIA being a scam (None have joined the course).
      4) It's true the twins did get kicked off KDP years ago because they translated some of their books into different languages and the translator did a bad job and the books were flagged. They have been very honest about this and it's since been rectified, it's just one of lifes lessons.
      5) Yes they're in Forbes and it's good for credibility and they wont just put anyone in it, but it's also kind of insignificant to the course. Judge them on the results the students are getting.
      As I mentioned there is 11,000+ people in the FB community and there really isn't a better beginner friendly course out there with this kind of support. I hope this helps and if you decide to sign up use my referral link in the description I'm adding a third bonus for new members.

      Hi, Alisha I just joined. I honestly had the same questions at first but with all the different ways to make money online that I researched, I found this to be one of the most achievable and realistic. The refund policy and that $500 bonus really help to allay those feelings of uncertainty. I have already learned so much this week and honestly, if I'm not successful which I think is going to be highly improbable, I'd at least be walking out of the course as a new person. I think some people have that mindset that it'll be a get-rich-quick scheme but it's not. You may fail once, twice or three times but eventually your failures will turn into success. People who call these guys scammers most likely don't like the idea of ghostwriting and think it's wrong or thinks it's just another one of the courses that promise you immediate wealth or that you don't have to invest some money into the business (every business needs to have some money invested into it to start). If you're a bit sketchy about the course I really do suggest their book first. The Freedom Shortcut. It tells you all the steps on how to publish a book and also tells you their story so you get to know them a bit better. I think the course is great for people who want a lot of support but also meet other people with the same goals. You get a lot of perks too like that $500, one on one coaching calls, access to their private Facebook, and another one to trade codes with others to get reviews on your book.

      Hi Parth. We don't have LLCs in Canada, but we do have corporations. Canada is already open to all the platforms we publish on, so the only reason to open a corporation would be for protection and to save money on taxes (for the most part).
      Starting out id just advise you to use your personal information and when you start making 3-4k a month id talk to your accountant about if/when the right time would be to open one.

    Hey Trevor, thank you for your video! I'm totally new to this, but very interested... Question: If I join AIA, which I probably will, and tackle the course like a full time job (outsourcing everything to avoid mistakes)... realistically speaking, how soon could I see results/income? roughly how much? assuming I follow instructions to the T. Thank you in advance!!

    • @jenniferlogan7965

      Some have shared to have seen the results in 4 - 6 weeks. I guess the key thing is to be dedicated & do everything on time.
      AIA allows the members to share the membership with one more person. You can then share the costs. If interested let me know to connect you to her.

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well, the main things are completing the course steps, taking in the information, and then writing or outsourcing the book, etc. You could be making some good money in 8-12 weeks and have a job replacing income in 6 months. You need to commit to the course though no distractions. Once you know how things work it;s obviously much easier to get books out.

      Hey Darren. It's a six-week program but the reality is that it's more like six stages because there is no time limit you do this when you have time. That being said the more time you put in the faster things will go and the quicker you start making money.

Assuming someone puts in the maximum effort, and decides to use some of the pay per use tools that are available to avoid mistakes and follows the course on a first publication... do you think it’s possible to reach $500 a month within 3 months on a single publication investment? I’m just trying to scale my expectations.

    Trevor.. I get these questions as well. For some reason people seem hesitant to believe people can actually earn a living online. There are so many who purchase a course.. or several courses.. and then start each course but never finish any of them.. and then they try a few more courses. Then they go online and say that earning money online is a scam and nothing works because they have tried everything and didn't earn a dime. The reason they don't make any money is because they never follow through.. and they refuse to apply themselves.
    I started my online ventures when I was a 17 year old college student. Since that time I have created numerous niche blogs.. turning my passion for blogging into a million-dollar business.
    But, in order to have those kind of results you have to apply yourself and actually put in the work. Too many people nowadays are looking for a way to make money without having to do any work. Unfortunately, that is not realistic.

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing your success. I absolutely agree with what you're saying.

    • @adithalee8660
      @adithalee8660 ปีที่แล้ว

      They don't follow through b/c they start of at $1,000 you have to pay to $5,000 to $60,000 to be a success and it's like a book in which the $1,000 is for the introduction of the book or the selling price and then to get chapter 2-4 which gives half the steps it's $5,0000 and then to get the real story and the legitimate assistant is $60,000. But there are still no guarantees. Most of this crap online are scams. And the very few that aren't, the people whose selling the courses aren't there for you when you have questions. Most people aren't tech savvy and have no one to help or assist int hose areas as well or when there is a complicated question. So yes, most of them are scams.

      Hey Stephen I'm glad it was helpful. I understand the money issue and this is covered in the course and in my bonuses. You can do the entire course with zero additional investment besides your time or you could need an additional $200 to $1500 to outsource everything depending on the kind of book you're after.

    Hi Trevor! So from the AIA Webinar, they make it sound like you basically hire a ghostwriter to write your books for you. Is this how the business model is built upon? And the book is based on whose research and information? Lastly, how much are Ads involved and how much would we expect to pay for these ads? Thanks for your help!

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The majority of people use ghost writers (95%) because it's the fastest and most efficient way to build your publishing business. That being said lots write their own and there are book topics that favor those of us who aren't great at writing.
      I believe they have an arrangement where they will assign you a proven topic, but as far as I know all the research given to the writer is done by you or outsouced to a freelancer. It's all covered in the course step by step week by week.
      You could run no ads and spend $0 or you could spend thousands. It's just an impossible question for me to answer without you having ads running. Typically people spend as much as they can afford as long as they're spending $1 and getting $2 or 3 back.

      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Napoleon. They cancelled the affiliate program, so I had to remove my link unfortunately. I will however be giving access to the bonuses for those who use my affiliate links for any of the major writing companies, software, cover designers etc. I'll have a video on this soon.

    2.business bank account
    3. Ads cost
    4. Account setup with Amazon
    5.do I need a EIN number
    My sellers central account is still suspended in the process of doing drop shipping.
    As a truck driver can I do this .. what’s my main roll to play ?

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need a regular bank account and tax info for your country to setup an account on Amazon and for the other platforms, but that's about it to start.
      If you have access to a laptop and put the time in to this course you can and will be successful.

      Hi Melanie. That's a great plan, I always tell people there is good free content on TH-cam and they can get started and join AIA later when it fits their budget :)

    Top video mate. How much money do Amazon get when you sell 1 book? Is it the same 30% as FBA or is it different?

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      60/40 I believe for paperbacks and kindle it varies depending on the price point, Audiobooks depend on the type of sale. As for the actual royalty it depends on the book price and size. Generally speaking longer books pay more and have bigger royalties.

    Is it possible to start out with their free videos online and make income through audiobooks THEN purchase the course to improve?

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes absolutely. I often tell people to start learning online for free if they don't have the money to join AIA right away. The problem is that many people will take 10x longer, and quite often, they spend more failing than if they had just joined the course and got the blueprint (Which is what happened to me). If you can't afford the course or monthly payments try learning on your own, and if you decide to join later, use my link in the description, and ill send you bonuses to help you be successful.

      Dude, how can you shill this crap and sleep at night? You're clearly only doing this for the referrals as you know this shit is shady af

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@resinfingers3896 I sleep great! I make 6 figures a year selling books, don't have a 9-5 job, and can travel anywhere I want in the world and continue working.
      The reason anyone makes content on TH-cam is to make money, and that can be referrals or ad revenue. Secondly, I just like making videos that help people.
      Imagine being in my shoes for a minute. I have a business model which has been around for an eternity and is never going away and it's completely changed my life. Now I can offer bonuses and teach people what I've learned over the years and get paid a commission for doing it. AMAZING.

    Hi trevor thanks for this grate video and we wish you more succes and all those joining the course, just wondering is it really reliable that if in 6 months your not making 5000 to 6000 dollars they'll giv u the money back ? Also if i start from the UK will i have to sell in the UK or the US to avhieve the objectives ?...Thanks in advance

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate it Kale. Yes, it's 100 percent a fact if you follow the course as they tell you to do it (Not your own version) and don't make that money you will get a refund + bonus. They also pay you $500 just to complete all the steps in the course and get your book live on all platforms.
      People dont take enough action and they know if they do that they will become successful, so its a great incentive.
      Nope, you will sell in all markets it has nothing to do with the country you're living in. Generally USA is the biggest, then UK & Canada.

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually don't know what it is today, but people have mentioned prices between $1500-2000.

    Hi Trevor, I was waiving but no longer, thanks for the clarity of your comments. Couple of questions however, I have a good job therefore can only realistically commit 4 hours a day to this opportunity, is that sufficient? Secondly, where is your referral link as I intend to sign up. Many thanks.

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey David. Apologies for the delay in responding. Even an hour a day before or after on a consistent basis would be enough to see success. Unfortunately there isn't a referral program anymore, although if you want access to the bonuses ill give out my discount codes for all the main publishing services soon.

    I want to do this course but confused about the ghost writers? Are they professionals writing about a subject, what if you receive it and it’s shocking and they don’t know much! I’m interested in spirituality, do I need to edit and write the book myself aswell as have a ghost writer? Confused how the ghost writer would know about the subject in depth without plagiarising! Thank you so much!!

    • @TrevorSomerville
      @TrevorSomerville  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is all covered in the course. The short answer is you create a book outline and then interview people who are familiar with your niche. It's more about getting a good writer and less about having a subject matter expert. Most companies allow you to follow the writing in real-time and if it's not up to par will find you a new writer.
