    About 20 years ago I did an exploration of tequilas at HiTime in Costa Mesa. I got as far as 7 Leguas Reposado and stopped. It has been the only tequila I drink ever since. For my taste, it is perfection. It mixes really well too.

    Their blanco is one of my faves. It does pack heat. But I find that can also enhance the experience. Probably not an entry level tequila though.

    Big fan of ur videos. Another spot on review. For whatever reason i didn't have high hopes from this brand. But now the blanco is my go-to for margaritas cuz it holds up, and just tried the repo and añejo, and totally agreed that this is a really well made añejo.
    I'm yet to find any Fortaleza or Cascahuin to get in the northeast. But Tesoro, Ocho, Cazcanes & now 7 Leguas are staples. I've got G4 & Carrera blancos on the way from f&s to try 👍👊

    Great vids! Whats your fav blanco, repo, and anejo? Any suggestions on other tequilas in this price range? Maybe some that can go toe to toe with 7 leguas?

    • @TheTequilaHombre

      Tequilas that can go toe to toe with siete leguas would be G4, Fortaleza, El Tesoro, Pasote and El Tequileño just to name a few. All of them are in the same price range. It's too hard for me to pick favorites. I love so many of them.. 😄👍

    I tried the reposado that was on the shelf at my local grocery store and was very impressed with it's agave forward flavor. Yes, I also like El Tesoro and Tequila Ocho, but they seemed kind of laid back by comparison. I like the idea of blending between the 2 factories to get exactly the flavor they think is ideal. Any suggestions in this price range of a reposado you think I should not be missing out on ??? Thanks

      Try El Luchador Reposado and Dos Angeles Caidos Reposado.

      Thank you for replying. I have watched several. Many sound extraordinary. We are heading to Mexico this week and I was hoping to procure a few. We also recently opened a liquor store. In our area the only tequila that is moving are the Adictivo, Casa Mexico, Juarez and Milagro. (Of course there is a wait list for fortelaza). I’m beginning to educate myself more so that we can help our friends find this new to us segment of the alcohol industry. I truly appreciate your reviews because we know a little about whiskeys and beer.

    Patron n Don Julio are popular cause of it's advertising n promotion but that don't make it a good or great tequila. 7 legues is still made Old school n old fashion way which is still distinct now at days but most importantly is a great tequila i only drink añejo 9out of 10 for sure..

    I've tried the Siete Leguas Anejo and as somewhat of a beginner, I was really surprised at how much heat/burn it had. It was noticeably more than the Espanita Anejo (which I got based on your recommendation and is excellent). For that reason, I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone new to tequila as it won't be as enjoyable to them as some other options that are less than half the price. If you made a video about the top "smoothest" (I know you don't like that word) tequilas, it would be extremely helpful and in demand for beginners who are really pushed away by heat/burn.

    • @TheTequilaHombre
      @TheTequilaHombre  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different people pervcieve heat and burn differently. You can find it to be very hot and another person can find it to be the easiest drinking. I recommend you spend some time watching the videos on here and trying the ones that I describe as easy to drink. This way you learn more about other brands as well and learn which ones to avoid and which ones you should seek. Knoledge is power! Salud Amigo. Enjoy the journey!

      That's is not correct. A freelance distiller used Siete to make the tequila for patron.. The recipe was created by patron and made at Siete leguas. It was patrons recipe from the start.
