  • These are some of my favorite Reposado Tequilas. Reposados are going to be rested in oak barrels anywhere from 2 months to 364 days. The barrels start to give hints of oak, caramel and vanilla to the tequila creating a beautiful taste. Most of these tequilas are available for sale by clicking here siptequila.com/?ref=Agavesoci.... Suerte is available by going to drinksuerte.com and Padre Azul can be purchased by going to their site as well. padreazul.com Be sure to follow me on instagram @agavesocialclub and you can check out my other videos ‪@iamdougprice‬. Padre Repo 💯🚀🚀❣️ my personal fave. Never forget the first time I tasted it, it was like a grand slam of a bite. I actually work for Total Wine Inc., work overnights full time in the Tequila department and know the sales and movement of brands. I actual have tried so far 35+ tequilas. Following you 💯nice job 🍸🍸🕺🎶🚀🚀

    Sorry for the late response, but as someone who loves the reposado category, I submit this as my current repo Top 10: De-Nada, G4, El Luchador, Ocho Widow Jane, Tapatio, Terralta, Siete Leguas, ArteNOM 1414, El Tequileno, and Casco Viejo. The last one is my surprise.😉

    Great videos Doug! Happy to see Long Island Lou commenting - I love his review videos too! Just tried Terralta Repo for the first time today, and I would include it in my top 10.

    I was wondering what happened to Fortaleza! My fiance got me their Anejo for Christmas (unfortunately, it wasn't 42/43), however, it still was spectacular! The bottle went too fast, so I just picked up the reposado last night. Amazing!
    Great video/content!

    You nailed it with your first one, but i will say however, the version that is available for purchase in Mexico, is even better. I lined them both up, with three tasters, and we all agreed on it.

    The line up is awesome! Although I haven't tried Volans or Padre, I will substitute with Cabal and ArteNom 1414 🤜🤛 #stilllookingforwinterblend2021

    Nice job Doug, I love it.The only one I disagree with is, Padre Azul. I think it's has additives in it, and is overly sweetened. Although I don't taste the quality, I do understand why new people or maybe people that really don't know quality tequila, would like it, I just can't see promoting it myself. It has a manipulated Americanized profile, which is made specifically for those type of people, and tastes artificial. To me the best Reposado you can buy, is Fortaleza. Great Job and thanks.

    Nothing wrong at all with you list. Mine would have at least one of the ones mentioned. My personal preference:
    Terralta repo - enthusiast (the bite is like a warm hug. Once through it it bursts with flavors
    Volans single barrel (MA edition) - overall favorite and approachable for anyone I think.
    El Luchador - awesome price, awesome flavor awesome everything! This is a must buy if you see it.
    123 repo - right there with El Luchador and I think would be a hit for the sweeter/smooth crowd. But doesn’t lose the “I am a tequila” in the flavor.

    Hey doug! Great video and videos! So I had a couple questions and if other people can give me insight that would be great too. I’m new to tequila, recently I bought the 2021 tequila Ocho reposado. I absolutely love it! It’s got a nice citrus, floral and salt and pepper notes with a nice expression of agave up front. After drinking that and several others (blanco and añejos) what I’m finding is that: 1. I tend to like reposados more than the others. I like a slight barrel age. But 2. That I tend to not like the funkier expressions of agave. Given this info, what other reposados (or others) would you recommend I try?

    • @iamdougprice
      @iamdougprice  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Austin,
      That Ocho is going to be very light and agave forward. They are spending 64 days in the barrel and that’s it. I’d try some of the repos from El Pandillo and see how you like those. G4, Volans, Terralta. Maybe try Cascahuin as well. Cheers

  • @dirkmason174

    Is Suerte additive free? Currently a big fan of the G4 tequilas. Actually, like you big fan of everything out of NOM 1579! Great video/list.

    I have the Tequila Ocho and I don’t think I’ll buy it again. It’s obviously quality but I find it too floral and peppery, maybe it’s the oak too, I can’t quite nail down what it is… especially on the finish. It’s just not working for me. I just got some Arette Artesinal Reposado and I like it a lot. It may be a bit on the sweet vanilla side but it’s not objectionable at all. Very nice sipper.

    • @ericktellez7632

    Any that are cheaper than Clase azul but close to taste ?

    • @iamdougprice
      @iamdougprice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That Padre Azul is cheaper and leans sweeter like Clase. El Tequileno is one of my favorite reposados and it has a natural sweetness. Absolutely additive free and tastes great. It’s $50. Check out SipTequila.com to order a bottle. The Compoveda Repo that came out in September is also cheaper than Clase Azul and a far better product.
