While I agree that this is a strong showing by Tivit, it's also "just" T3 win. If you dump your hand on T1 like that and have the perfect follow-up draw with no interaction whatsoever by the opponents, a lot of decks in this format will be able to present a Turn 3 win.
I love the idea that the way we overcome partner decks is with huge costed commanders that do the most insane shit. Now all we need is a 4 color sans green creature that costs like 8 and it’s effect is literally ad Naus. Go ahead and give it flash and Ward - your whole bank account
Enjoyed the game and congrats to the winner! However, these are the types of games that make me question cEDH tournament results. When so many decks can effectively win on turn 2, do we always see the best decks or players winning? I'm sure the winning player was a skilled pilot, but it feels like this particular game had little to do with skill. Not much to do when your opponent has a piece of interaction plus a protected win before your turn 3. I know this can be partially balanced by multiple rounds, but how many previous games in the tournament were decided by one player having an absurd start? Probably at least a few...It would suck to place 20th+ because you lost two games on turn 1 or 2 (which doesn't happen often, but it's possible).
Wounded here! I tried guys 😂 Can't beat that tivit start
My bad😅
@@TemKhan that dress down was so good. Great game man!

tivit does a lot to break mana parity. it abuses jeweled lotus so hard and basically does what niv mizzet wishes he could do.

The sisay player had interaction, it was just non creature interaction unfortunately for them.
I think the issue your asking is Cedh as a whole lol. Strong starts and hyper interaction make or break games.
1 vs 1... xd
Jesus.....
