I would love to see a review from you on the Feliks Envy! Your reviews are so honest and real, and the Envy doesn't have very many reviews / the ones that exist seem like they might be biased. Thank you for the content!
Nice review Michael. I would be curious to hear how well the HIFIMAN Prelude Fully Balanced Amp handles the Susvara. I think it's 10W@32 and 6W@64. Pretty sure they made this amp specifically with enough power to efficiently drive the Susvara which has an Impedance of 60 and Sensitivity 83db. The Prelude probably drives the other HIFIMAN HP's like the HE1000se and HE1000-Stealth easily and with plenty of headroom.
@@DirectorsGarage Actually in the review at 7:30 you said it lacks slam compared to the Enleum in general and in particular on the Susvara. So I understand that it's not "only with regard to the Susvara", correct?
@thelastrhino2581 Slam is specific only to the Susvara. And if you saw the Enleum review, I noted that I didn't much care for the Enleum with my other headphones! The 23-R is a bit of a noisy amp, generally, it just happens to pair exceptionally well with the Susvara. I assume it would be fantastic with the Tungsten as well, unfortunately that review was pre-Mod House.
It's not a step below, HM-1 is a more reference system, so It's not adding to the presentation. The functionality is unique and I know a couple of people who use it simply as a preamp.
It is interesting how people hear things differently. Have tried 13R, 23R, and HM1 and HM1 had the most punch and slam with Sus out of the three. Also HM1 easily powered Susvara very well.
@@DirectorsGarage That was my first thought actually but thought it would be too easy 😁 Nice to see your smile when you're playing with them. You're clearly in heaven and who am I to judge you... hehe.
@@michaelp.3485 it looks like a beautiful pricey piece of kit and for anyone wanting to buy it I only wish them well… Schiit audio and many others produce great gear at very affordable prices for the rest of us thx
And when I contacted them to get on the waiting list, the first response was "Yeah, sure, but our new price is ..." and they listed the price increase from 2023 to 2024 builds. Smelled like greed... they got someone like GoldenSound to sing its praises and then immediately they thought a material price increase would be about right.
Yeah... the price and the hilariously bad lead time. Absolutely not worth it. I don't use 1/2 the features the amp comes with, I just want an amplifier and a pre-amp. They need to cut out all the analogue signal processing stuff and especially the dual mixing inputs (seriously useless unless you're a producer or reviewer), expand their production line and get this version out much quicker and cheaper.
I like the signal processing, personally. This is how I prefer to tweak the sound, with subtle increments. But I agree on the dual mixing sources. I'd rather have a little more power in place of extra inputs. It's still a great product. It's one of the lowest noise floors around, and that is remarkable and worth owning, in my opinion.
Holy crap you really invested in the singing groups!
Such a professional review. Best in class, Michael.
Thank you for this review done with honesty!

Great review. Make a Schiit Mjolnir 3 one, there is a lot of hype on that one.
Omg the transitional music slays me. 👏👏👏👏👏👏🤣
Hang in there Michael! You will be a great success!
Step below the Enleum, all I needed to hear. There is a lot of hype with the HM-1.
Only with regard to the Susvara, for my bass slam preferences. If you value detail, the HM-1 is the better amp.
@@DirectorsGarage I only listen to the Susvara.

The singing interludes are funny as hell
Michael. You are the best. I’ll leave it at that. 😎
Are we getting the new Raal's?

The used ones come up for sale due to people moving up to 465.
It's an Umlaut, hence the dots above the ä. So it is pronounced like the a in can. And the Z like a very sharp s, a bit like in tsar.
I'm always a little weary of pro audio and audiophile stuff mixing.
Ok, so what’s the story behind the musical interludes? Are they AI generated?
No wiggling knobs! That's all the fun sucked out of the experience... (yes, two puns) :-)
I knew I was in trouble when recording this. Though I was expecting someone to comment about how I like big knobs (and I cannot lie).

sounds like everything is subtle
but the price and availability
thanks for the review
Products like these are a scam. $8000 for subtlety that the vast majority of people won't even notice. $8000 for $100 worth of materials and a name.

over hyped... over priced... but.. I bet it would make the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x sound like a $200 set...
😂
What do you feel is not overpriced?
