I love that there is one person that comes to all of our videos and drops a Dislike. That's our biggest fan.

During this video, I realized that my whole career could have been pre-packaged.
We rely heavily on electrical techs to troubleshoot & fix PLC programming issues.
Look like it's time to make a change for me, 20 years in automation is enough.

Interesting presentation explanation for Remote Field data operation collection to central data server and with ignition. These concept and implementation are always interesting to see and from implementing approach and if possible compare both and with IIoT integration. To me it matters less that it’s an oil well as what I see is a remote system operating as it can be almost anything or small remote unit operating in the field that’s producing lots of data. Here you have the ability to collect and see that data and will eventually made easier by IIoT soon in the future.

Can you detail the setup for the uno and the total flow device? I assume there is still some configuration required (per device) and then at that point it’s capable of being consumed by its node ID to the namespace??

Demetri White we use a startup script in Linux to do all install and config. We pull the hostname dynamically and use it as the NodeID in the sparkplug B config. The only thing we do is change host name on provisioning, run the startup script... and boom, we have data in the broker.

Walker, excellent show. Taking IIOT down to it's core reality, rather than skirting around the edges "playing" IIOT. Call me and let me tell you about the new software version of our LOCK which can go right on those adventech IPC.

This is exactly what I'm wanting to learn. For someone with an I&C background, what's the best way to learn the networking and controls skills required to be a part of the IIoT market?
