Hello from Exeter :) The Spectrum was my first computer back in 1988. Then jumped ship to the Atari ST. I remember some years later, I went to a car bootsale and got a 48k spectrum for £1. Ended up running about the whole place in a short time, had bought a tape deck, tape games, joystick, joystick interface, power supply and aerial lead. Those were good days! Pretty much got the lot for £10.
Hello . thats cool that the spectrum was your first computer such a great machine . god times when you could go to carbot get gaming stuff for a pound miss them days.
My first experience of gaming was a Spectrum 48k on a black and white TV and the first game I ever played was Daley Thompson’s Decathlon . A few years later my parents bought me a 128k + 2. I still have this which is at my parents house as I’ve never collected it since moving out. I did have an Amiga 600 but I sold this for peanuts on eBay as I didn’t have the space to keep it, sooo wish I hadn’t done this 😔. I’ve mainly gamed on PS since 1996 (1-5, PSP & Vita) but I do own a SeriesX and Switch. I would love to get a decent PC soon but I’ve been saying this for ages.
