The game was only fun when you used cheats or mods. JWE has its fair share of problems but it doesn’t really need mods unlike JPOG.

Because JPOG was brilliant in many ways despite its age. The dinosaur AI was much better than the one in JWE. In JPOG they didn't phase through each other, and they moved in packs or herds. It only really would've needed a bit of an improvement, like the bite -> victim drops to the ground then gets up kinda fight was kinda weird, tho I should note it was still more entertaining than the turn-based bullsh*ttery way dinosaurs fight in JWE. If they took out the boring part and used one-shot takedowns with several different random cool animations, anims like the ones at the end of the fight, it'd look amazing and realistic. And the way they kill humans in JWE... pain to watch. The same crap all over again, dude drops to the ground and gets eaten. None really have the skill to actually run instead of stumbling.
This game is still good even today. Also, Blue Tongue Entertainment had a missed opportunity to release this game on June 11th, 2003 which was Jurassic Park's 10th anniversary.

The MajorLeagueGamer From what I have seen of Mesozoica it looks like an absolute disaster. It is so far inferior to both PK, assuming its Kickstarter doesn't fail, and Jurassic World: Evolution. I used to be a big fan of Mesozoica but they have long since proven they are incapable of making a quality game. And they can go shove their excuses where the sun don't shine.

there are currently 2 teams working on a sequel or something like that one is called prehistoric kingdom and the other is mesezoica but if they don't get enough funds it will not reach completion and its suppose to be amazing its suppose to have water Dino's and a lot more realistic and the pictures of what there aiming the game to look amazing with all those enclosureres and it will be like making Jurassic world all those modern things and you will be able to genetically modify your Dino's

I remember when I first played this game. I focused the entire time on my Spinosaur, making sure it wouldn't get free. Unfortunately, I built a T-Rex enclosure in a Low Power Security Fence right by the Park Entrance. And I bet you can guess what happened when I forgot to feed it...

@102bassmasta That happens sometimes. I downloaded it too but didn't experience problems. So i put the data onto my flash drive and took it to school and it has the same problem. It doesn't do that to me at home. Also, the new computers my school bought don't make it crash. I personally think that it only occurs on certain computers.
Although you can't play as the dinosaurs, you can click on them and let the camera follow them around which can be quite interesting. Especially if they get loose into the visitors quarters.
An open world would be fairly easy to implement and would be an awesome game. And yes it follows the spirit of the movies and books. They drop you on the island for whatever reason and you decide how to go about solving the game
